Bring your dog; bring your Netflix/Hulu passwords for the whole house is WIFI suited with Tv's in each room. Grill here or eat out. Perfect place for a family with kids or group of friends. Lighthouse and sea turtles! FUN! 4 rooms ; so will sleep 8. Marsh views in the back; slight ocean views in front. Huge fenced in beautiful backyard with fire pit and hammock We have about 8 beach chairs, a couple boogie boards, a wagon to haul beach stuff, a tent and umbrella, PAC n play and baby stroller- we Don’t supply beach towels

Perfect family house!

A lovely, comfortable beach house! The location is wonderful. We rented golf carts to get around the island with the kids. We had ages 6-70 & everyone had a great time.

Wonderful property, very responsive owner

Steps from the beach, Large beautiful backyard with a fire pit and chairs. Big shady trees. Will definitely book here again. Had 2 dogs, they loved it too!

Great location

Location was perfect! Not near busy part of beach and just a walk across the road to the beach access. Great communication with Mark the entire time we were there. Plenty of room both inside and outside to enjoy!

Great Beach House!

Great beach house. Great yard. Amazing location. Very helpful and responsive host with great communication. Nice sized house, well equipped. The yard is awesome. Fully fenced in. Nice fire pit and cool outdoor space. The best thing is the location. It's so easy to walk to the beach on the path right across the street. It takes literally 1 minute to walk there. The beach is really nice and was not at all crowded (though we were there in mid-August so maybe past peak season). We would definitely rent this house again. We had the best time. My wife and I agreed this was our best vacation since our honeymoon to Hawaii 11 years ago!

Loved our stay

Really great place to stay. Nice fenced backyard, so room to run for your pet(s). Foosball table was a hit with the kids. Location was great, not as congested being down the road from the middle of Folly. Quick walk across the street to the beach. No houses between you and the beach. Lots of parking. Would definitely stay again.

Perfection

Everything about the home was great. The main living area was comfortable and family friendly. The three upstairs bedrooms have plenty of room and the downstairs bedroom with its own shower and 1/2 bath is a nice space separate from upstairs. The back yard certainly extends the living space -when it’s not too hot - either under the house or in the yard. Speaking of the yard - it is perfect for a dog! Marc is a great host and tremendously responsive to any question. We are already checking next year’s calendar to pick our return dates.

Amazing at the Folly

First it is with sincerity that Marc, the owner was an absolute wonder to communicate with. I appreciate his ongoing communications with my son and with me to support and make our visit an amazing experience. The house was absolutely fantastic. The simple walk over to the beach was perfect, the beach was not crowded. And even though it was a public beach access, the people who came seemed to be half visitors (like us) and have locals who did yoga, surfed, or just hung out visiting with friends. Back the property....the house and grounds were spacious. Enough to be able to have alone time, gather around the fire pit, eat meals together at the table, and sleep comfortably. Having a basement and an upstairs offered places to store your bags, wash/dry your clothes, take two showers at the same time, but also just stare out the windows that surrounded the house to enjoy the neighborhood. And the location was great for us. Just far away enough from the main roads to keep traffic noise and visitors away, but close enough to enjoy a short bike ride into town to eat at the great restaurants, drink at a bar, or visit any of the fun stores in town. Marc will have us visit again. Great job Marc! And Thank you!

Birthday at the beach after a long northern Winter

If you have any realization what a long northern winter can do to your psyche , this spot will restore your hope for the future! Lovely, relaxing, and the name of the house is legit: a few gorgeous step to the sand.

Excellent Stay!

We had never been to Folly Beach before and it did not disappoint! We stayed the second week of April, and while a little cooler, we had a great time. Marc was an excellent host and the house was just perfect! This house is just across a small 2 lane road from the beach. There were a couple of times when we were the only ones out there. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect house for med/large group or family! We had 6 adults…2 couples 2 singles so 4 bedrooms was perfect. Super clean, great location and absolutely everything you need for a stress free stay.

Cozy Oasis

While putting our house on the market, we decided to do a small staycation to avoid the stress of showings. This was the perfect spot. I was able to grab it up last minute even with dogs. Although the weather was unusually cold for Charleston this was a warm cozy house with plenty of space for us to hunker down in. The kids all had a room with a tv to veg out when we needed some separation. While the large dining table, sunroom w/foosball & selection of board games was lovely for time together. Not to mention the patio space under the house made it possible for me to take the dogs out while staying out of the freezing rain. When the weather cleared a nice walk on the beach & lunch at the pub rounded out a very enjoyable stay. My family will most certainly be returning.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying here this past weekend. Folly is a wonderful beach, perfect for a family vacation. Fantastic location and a well fenced in yard for our dog. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Place

Great property for our group of 5 adults from 18 to mid-50s and our dog. Completely fenced in yard. Steps from beach. Kitchen is well stocked. House has a good allotment of basic supplies like TP and paper towels and the like. Away from downtown Folly but close to lots of surfers. Lovely stay.

Great location

We were a little late on booking a place this year and were happy to find something still available this close to the beach for the 2 of us, our 7 month old and our 2 dogs. The fenced in yard was fantastic for the dogs and very secure. The house is an older home, so don't expect the open bright layout of a newer place. You're really paying for location with this spot. That said, it felt nice and clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. As other reviews mention, the beds were comfortable. It was so easy to get to the beach which was nice considering all the stuff we now haul for a little one ;) Owner was very nice and responsive!

Folly Fourth Getaway

The location of the property is perfect! Right across from the beach access. The house is so cute and the beds are extremely comfortable. Our four legged family member loved the large fenced in yard! We come to Folly every year and this will definitely be a repeat stay!

Super comfortable and close to the beach!

This house was perfect for our large family and two dogs. We felt like we were at home. The house was very clean, beds were so comfortable, and we loved that it’s literally across the street from the beach. Mark is an extremely gracious host. My kids accidentally broke a window; and he was very understanding. He communicated with us, throughout the repair process and before and after our stay. I highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back.

Cozy and perfect location

We all loved staying at this cozy house near the beach in Folly—two adults, two teens, and two pups. Walking to the beach was super fast - just cross the little street and through a beautiful path and you are there! I also liked how it wasnt right downtown (you do have to drive to the restaurants, they werent close enough to walk), which offered a more quieter experience than the center part of town. We walked on the beach every day, despite having cooler weather most days, traveled to different beaches in the area, day tripped to Edisto, spent a day in Charleston, and hung out in the lovely fenced in backyard (love the trees!). Some things I really liked in the house: beds were very comfy, large fluffy towels were great, nice reading material throughout the house, super cozy inside. The only thing I would add if it were my house would be some light kits on the ceiling fans - it was pretty dim in most rooms, and if you like to do crafts or read, it wasnt enough light in the evenings. We would totally come back to this property and highly recommend it!

Quaint cottage

Communication with owner is fast and responsive. Nice large living space to accommodate family. Big screen TVs. Porch with foose ball table. Large dining table. Lower level bedroom was not useable as furnace didn’t keep it warm. Nice big laundry area. The fenced in yard is perfect if you have a pet with.
