🌲24 Miles to Yellowstone ~ Hot Tub ~ Fire Pit ~ Wifi ~ Tucked into the Pines 🌲
Into the Woods is a wonderful log cabin located in the popular Macks Inn area of Island Park, conveniently located just 1/2 mile off the highway, away from noise on a large wooded lot. Walk to Henry's Fork of the Snake River for fishing and moose watching, or hit one of the many snowmobile trails.
The cabin sleeps 15. Guests will appreciate separate living and family rooms, with a well-equipped galley kitchen in between with 2 refrigerators. The family room has a large flat-screen HDTV, and the living room has a gas fireplace and TV also. The living room also has a queen sleeper sofa.
The main floor is also host to the master bedroom, with a futon and attached full bath, and a sunroom bedroom with wonderful light and landscapes. Another 3/4 bath is located on the main floor, as is a high-end laundry pair, and a mudroom.
Upstairs is where the fun happens! 2 bedrooms plus a loft area and 1/2 bath provide sleeping space for 15. One bedroom has 3 queens and is done in classic cabin style. Another bedroom has a queen, and the loft has a full and a twin bed.
Outside is wonderful. A large covered deck with hot tub, wicker furniture and picnic tables is the perfect place to congregate and dine al fresco. Because it is a large area, even in stormy weather guests can enjoy outdoor living. A large fire pit with lots of chairs and a gas BBQ grill allow entertainment well into the night as guests roast s'mores and sing goofy camp songs!
The area is so close to Yellowstone...Just 23 miles away. The town of West Yellowstone, MT offers interesting shopping, museums, restaurants, and an IMAX theatre.
There is so much to do close by that it will take you a while to make it to Yellowstone. Float the river in your own rafts, or rent them just down the street at Macks Inn for a scenic, tranquil float down Henry's Fork. Head up the road a little ways to the museum at Johnny Sack Cabin and Big Springs, the headwaters of the snake river, where monster trout can be fed and muskrats and geese abound. Take a nature walk along the path at Big Springs, or head further into the mountains for excellent biking, ATV or Snowmobile trips! You can access the trails, in fact, directly from the cabin! No trailering needed!
Island Park also has many restaurants, hiking trails, a waterfall and museum at Mesa Falls, 2 State Parks (Harriman and Henry's Lake), 2 lakes, 2 rivers and numerous fishing ponds. In fact, fishing reigns supreme in Island Park, which contains some of the greatest stretches of Blue Ribbon fly fishing in the U.S.!
With live theatre and restaurants just down the street, and Yellowstone so close by, Into the Woods is the natural choice for your summer vacation! Call today for more information or to book!

We had a nice relaxing stay at this cabin. We traveled to Yellowstone park daily and came back to relax and have a good night sleep. Cabin was rustic and plenty of beds for all.
We loved the bonfire pit and the secluded ness of property. I sprained my ankle and host was super responsive and caring and was able to get me some crutches for the duration of our stay
It had a lot of space and was very family friendly . The cabin was not as clean as I think it could of been but not a big deal. We had a very nice time.
This is a cute, clean cabin. There are neighbors around but it fairly secluded with surrounding trees. Hot tub was a great relaxer at the end of busy days. There's local places to hike as well.
Great cabin! Lots of bedrooms, beds, big spaces to enjoy.
All wood Cabin, we enjoyed the fire pit and gas grill everyday!!!
So calm outside and quiet.
It was also nice that the cabin is so close to stores, restaurants, rentals, etc.
We had a great few days !!
We had so much fun at this property. We have been to Island Park several times but this was the first time for our friends who were visiting from Spain. The loved the charm of the cabin and they thought the surroundings were beautiful.
We had a great time
Lots of sleeping space
We really appreciated the refridgerator space and the number of fans
Sounds funny but in renting cabins before we have had to buy fans and have never had enough space for refridgerator food.
The location was wonderful. The beds were comfy. The hot tub was very appreciated. The hot water ran out very quickly. The layout of the cabin was strange, especially the kitchen. The kitchen was small and it was the main walkway to the rest of the cabin. It was difficult to move around and cook in.
We enjoyed the place. It was cozy. Loved the hot tub. Beds were comfortable to sleep in. There were some small cobwebs noticed in some corners, but the place was mostly pretty clean.

Nice place, good location
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was a bit too small for our 18 person caravan but we made it work. Appreciated the place being stocked with condiments, toiletries and coffee.
We sure did enjoy the hottub after a long day of hiking and roasting mallows in the fire pit was a nice way to end the day.

Thank you so much for staying at the cabin! I am so glad you enjoyed the amenities.
Plenty of room in this older, but well kept, property. Communications by our host was exceptional. This property has a more secluded feel which is precisely what we hoped for.
I really did enjoyed staying at the house we were a total of 13 folks from the older adults, mid-range and younger adults and we all enjoyed the space the bedrooms, the amenities it has and would definitely would rent again and again. Thank you Jamie for allowing us to stay there!!!
Wonderful time at the cabin cooking meals, playing games, roasting marshmallows, everything we needed to make it happen was provided. Thank you so much!!
Love the place. could use some general maintenance, door handles some loose or cracked . Extremely hot July air conditioning would have been nice. Great place for family gathering plenty of parking.
Cabin in the Woods was the perfect location. Easy access from the highway, from Yellowstone and all activities. With 13 people we were able to figure out our sleeping options easily with the bedding available. Plenty of house amenities to make cooking easy if you choose to cook. Outdoor fire pit is a nice way to finish off your long day. Thanks for the great "house hotel" as my 5yr old granddaughter called it.
Into The Woods was large enough to comfortably accommodate our ten family members, ranging from 9 months to 69 years. The kitchen was smallish but adequate and well supplied with good appliances and cooking utensils, etc. Beds were comfortable and there were both spaces to gather, such as the large dining room table, and spaces to get away. We were able to show our pictures we’d taken during the day on the large screen smart TV. The hot tub was a great place to relax after a day of hiking around Yellowstone. Every member of our family thoroughly enjoyed this home and felt it had a wonderful atmosphere that went well with being in this area of the country. It was a wonderful week!
A large cabin nestled in the quiet community of Island Park, ID just a 30 to 35 minute drive from the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Each of the 2 bedrooms in the main floor had there own bathrooms and there was additional sleeping and bathroom facility’s upstairs. Although only 4 in our group, this cabin could accommodate 15 people. The owner anticipated our needs well and accessories such as cleaning supplies, dish soap were provided. We enjoyed the large family dining table and family area off the kitchen, but the cozier tv area was sufficient for our needs. Initially we had a problem with tv/cable reception and we contacted our host who immediately responded and we quickly resolved the issue collectively. Being adjacent to Yellowstone is wonderful, but an added plus was being 1.5 hours from Big Sky, MT and 2.5 hours from Grand Teton National Park and 30 minutes/or less from Lake Henry State Park. Many local restaurants are available for all your culinary needs. Will definitely have this place on speed dial for future visits.
This was our first rental property experience and certainly won’t be our last. We wanted to time away from our city lives and enjoy time with our grandkids, mission accomplished! With 3 families, 6 adults and 4 children, we had plenty of room. The owners were great to work with, quickly responding to messages, The cabin includes everything you need. It is comfortable and charming, our only regret is not having more time. Oh well, till next time!
