On the picturesque SPT Waterfront! Beautiful Pool & Private Beach!

Located on the historic, picturesque Southport Waterfront you'll enjoy a well appointed space with amenities that include a galley kitchen, shower/tub combo, Wifi & full Cable TV, and streaming. The unit also features a small balcony with views of the Cape Fear River and guest pool. We also have a huge deck with lots of tables and chairs, swings, and local bands come and play there on Thursday nights in the summer with beautiful views all around! And if that's not enough, we also have a small, private beach by the pool that's great for fishing or just enjoying the spectacular views. Covered parking is available within steps of the elevator. The space includes a dining table and a well-stocked kitchen should you choose to cook during your stay.

Everything about this property was great from the check in to the checkout. When we hear something happened in Southport and the owner even messaged me and checked in on us to make sure we were ok. Southport is an overly lovely place great small shops, good food and music in several different areas. Description of room and pictures of everything was on point. Towels smelt like heaven and beds were comfy.

Getaway

We really enjoyed our Getaway. The location had alot to offer. Fishing off the pier, pool, nice deck to lounge on, close to town so we rented a golf cart to enjoy Crusin the town of Southport. Room was very accommodating. Will stay again.

Best vacation!

The Mabe family really enjoyed The River Front! Room was clean and cozy. The pool was awesome and the private beach was perfect! We made use of the pier daily for fishing…from sharks, Crocker, toad fish, flounder and sting rays were caught daily! Room was stocked with all that we needed and a very short drive to be able to park and walk beautiful Southport.

Perfect family weekend

Thank you for a lovely stay. We had everything we needed for a long weekend away. The location was perfect for accessing Southport and the ferries, which were our priorities. Our daughter loved watching the boats and ships pass in the river. We would love to come back soon.

Perfect stay!

This property was perfect for me on my first trip traveling alone. Pool was wonderful so late in the year. Room was clean and I felt very welcome with the basket of goodies and personalized message to me. Thanks so much!

A WONDERFUL PLACE

The photos of Escape to the Cape do not do it justice! It is nicely decorated and furnished. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal. Its in a perfect location beside the Cape Fear River with a great pool, beach, and deck with games. Ruth was so informational and helpful. We will most definitely stay again!

Delightful & cozy!

Loved the condo; warm and cozy! Very welcoming w/ the personalized welcome note and snacks & water. Can't wait to stay there again! Informed Ruth of the slow tub drain and need to probably change the shower head. Definitely not deal breakers!

Eveything one could need

Nice, peaceful area, lovely, spotless condo with extras by hostess. Wanting for nothing except an actual beach to walk on as the beach here is small with private homes and docks on each side with no trespassing. Southport is historic, a beautiful community with historic homes along the Intercostal waterway. The Maritime Museum is a great collection of historic photos and stories.

Convenient and charming

This property was called a condo, but it’s actually part of a hotel. The property is one room (hotel-sized) with a galley kitchen, table for two and two queen beds. It ‘s perfect as a base if you plan to be out all day. It was charmingly decorated with the owner’s artwork, which was beach-themed and is for sale. The location is lovely, right next to the river. I enjoyed sitting on the tiny balcony watching the considerable river traffic. The elevator is a godsend and the main reason we chose this property. The hotel was busy, even in April. Reasonable rates and a nice location.

Wonderful Views, Peaceful Eacape

We had a wonderful experience!! First and foremost the host to this property is incredible. She is responsive, quick to respond and adds side touches most would never think about. The property was so clean, the cleaning staff should teach other resorts. I have never stayed in a place so clean and I have traveled the world. The location is perfect, out of the traffic, close enough for a 10 min walk into town. The beds are comfortable and pool is fantastic! The one thing I would suggest is Mosquito repellent go down by the river. The host really supplies everything except food! We needed nothing, not a single trip to Walmart. Thank you Ruth!

Great property!

We had a great mini-moon here after our wedding on Saturday, March 18, 2023!! The condo was in a great location with a nice view and was very clean! We even had a wonderful welcome basket with treats for our stay. The only reason I did not give it five stars was because the hot water heater was so small it was hard to get two back to back showers. But then again, I like long showers with my water scalding so it probably wouldn’t be an issue for most people 😊 There was even a mixup of my checkout day (totally my fault) and Ruth accommodated my last-minute request to stay an extra night. I would definitely recommend this unit for a stay in Southport! Also highly recommend The Saucy Southerner for breakfast or lunch, the Edgwater for dinner, and the Smokehouse for home cooking!

I'm a NC native. I grew up in a small town just west of Charlotte where my parents still live. I am a proud alumna of the Univ. of Tennessee and I love my Vols, and I currently split my time between Greensboro and Southport!

Why they chose this property

There's nothing else quite like it in Southport! The whole property is new a new concept for Southport (started in 2019 and the 3rd and final building was completed in the Fall of 2024). Located right on the Cape Fear River with a waterfront swimming pool--something no other property in Southport has to offer! It's in walking distance, biking distance, or golf cart riding distance --whichever you prefer--to downtown Southport and all the great shops and restaurants. The property boasts great sunrise views to the east and sunset views to the west! Where else can you get both in the same location?? EsCape to Cape, THAT's where!
