About this property
Casa Los Griegos near Old Town, Bosque, Los Poblanos and Los Ranchos
My vacation home is a full-time dedicated home, I don’t live in it but it was created as a separate property and shares a private road with our backyard and my neighbor who is a renown bronze monument sculptor artist. The whole property is a very serendipitous arrangement. You will feel the warmth the minute you arrive and feel as though you were meant to be there. Being located in the north valley of albuquerque inserts you into former farmland and because we are close to the Rio Grande river you will frequently see hot air balloons flying on most mornings just before or after sunrise so be sure to make a cup of coffee and walk up the stairs located 40 feet from your front door and up to the Sky Deck to watch the balloons and in the evening grab a glass of wine to go back up on the deck to watch our unbeatable sunsets. Take a walk past Our Lady of Guadalupe Church located behind the property to have lunch breakfast or dinner at Flying Star Cafe 12 minutes to the north. That funky looking building in the photos is the chicken coop so feel free to grab fresh eggs.

This was the perfect place for our family to spend the holidays…good room for us in the living area and dining. Close to places we wanted to go. It was also great to go up on the deck and see the Sandias at sunset.
The house was lovely and the beds super comfortable!! Very quiet neighborhood. Watch your step in the garage if you do laundry. Otherwise perfect home to have a vacation with friends or family.
The property was as described. Very quiet neighborhood with great views of the Sandia mountains to the East in the am and magnificent sunsets as the Sun disappeared on the horizon to the West. Blue skies you don't see in every locale. David is a great host and responded within 10-15 minutes anytime we had a question. Highly recommend this property for your visit to Albuquerque. Best Mexican food anywhere. Check with David for recommendations. A very relaxing stay, would definitely book it again.
I rented this property for myself, sister, our parents and their dog. It was a wonderful experience during the Christmas holiday, and David was an excellent host. We all recommend this rental house!
Pleasant neighborhood, really enjoyed both indoor and outdoor fireplaces

About the host
Hosted by David Danemann
I am a native to Albuquerque, born and raised here, I have had and still have many interests/careers. I wear many hats on a daily basis from being a Property Manager/Realtor to a Private Investigator. My interests range from Watersports to Welding. I suffered a stroke when I was 21 years of age that shaped my life from that point on.
Why they chose this property
I purchased the home adjacent to the vacation home in 2006. It was intended to be a remodel for resale however the market took a turn causing the home to become a rental. After a few years of renting the home we live in I decided to move from a different home into this one. In 2012 I bought the vacation home in case my aging mother wanted to live in it. It was a rental home at that time. The vacation home was originally built as a Mother-in-Law house as it sits behind two homes, one being my home and the other being my sculptor neighbor. Moving into the home we reside in was a great decision as we have wonderful neighbors, it is quiet and it feels like this is where we belong.
What makes this property unique
Being close to the Rio Grande River we have birds at certain times of the year flying overhead and the Hot Air Balloons fly over the river almost every morning so the Sky Deck which is 16 feet high provides a great morning view of the balloons.
