House with swimming pool - 20' Sea and Montpellier
Our house combines the charm of the old and the contemporary. It is vast, bathed in light, and has terraces, a courtyard and a large garden. It is ideally located, quiet, surrounded by greenery, but very close to the village center (a few minutes walk) and all shops. It is, by car, 20 minutes from the sea, 25 minutes from Pic St Loup, 20 minutes from the historic center of Montpellier, 35 minutes from that of Nîmes, 50 minutes from that of Arles and 1h30 from that of Marseille.
Our house is made up of an old part and a contemporary part, designed by an architect. It is completely private (no common area inside or outside). The main living rooms are on the first and second floor. The living area is approximately 150m2 (220m2 useful area).
First floor : There is a terrace, an entrance, a kitchen / dining room, open to a large living room, toilets.
On the second floor: There is a bathroom with toilet, 1 small bedroom with single bed, 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 bedroom (or office) with king size bed and bay windows overlooking a beautiful terrace (unobstructed view of the fields, you can also see the sea very slightly (with good eyes and a little imagination : )).
At the ground floor : There is a courtyard with a basketball hoop, a laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer and a large room with a ping-pong table, where you can put your beach stuff, for example. Finally there is a beautiful independent garden of 800 m2, not adjoining (just opposite the other side of the small alley for residents), with swings, above ground swimming pool (7.32 m x 3.66 m x H 1 ,32 m), a small vegetable garden, full of trees and plants.
We are in a small old hamlet, surrounded by greenery, at 4 minutes walk from the village (village which is in the metropolis of Montpellier). There is an organic wine producer in this hamlet, who also sells organic eggs, and organic fruit and vegetables in spring and summer. There is also a restaurant but closed to the public, only the kitchens are used by a caterer (from the courtyard or the garden you can sometimes smell (good) cooking smells and you can hear the blower of his hood).
In the center of the village there are bakeries, butcher, greengrocer, bar/brasserie, pizzeria, taco restaurant, florist, hairdressers, post office, tobacconist, bank, pharmacies, general practitioners and specialists, sports facilities, children's parks, etc. . Near the village there is a large shopping center with Leclerc, Bio& Sens, Picard, Leroy Merlin, Cultura, Burger King, etc, etc. Access to nature and the hinterland is very close.
The region is known, among other things, for its wines (in particular the Pic Saint Loup appellation), its preserved hinterland (in particular the Pic Saint Loup and the Hérault gorges), its sunny coastline (in particular the "pointe de l'Espiguette", a "little Camargue" that has remained wild, and the resort of La Grande Motte, classified as architectural heritage of the 20th century) and the very beautiful and lively historic center of Montpellier. It is full of good little restaurants and guiguettes. Many walks in the area between sea, ponds, mountains, vineyards...
The entrance to the motorway is close, which is convenient for quickly getting to the beaches or visiting other major cities other than Montpellier. Possibility to park the car in front of the house (or in the courtyard if you prefer). Possibility to go to Montpellier by public transport (walking, bus and tram).
Here are a few points to give you as much information as possible: This house is our main dwelling in which we live all year round. We are attentive that our guests are received as best as possible and it is with great pleasure that we will welcome you to our home. But we prefer to specify that we are neither professional renters nor a hotel: you will find with us a private accommodation for private individuals. The house is therefore not impersonal or flawless. - In part of the living room there is a stair opening well secured by chipboard panels, which are not very aesthetic. - The staircase leading to the second floor is not very comfortable. - Due to the two staircases and differences in ground levels, this house is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. There is also no baby securing of the stairs. - Behind the house there is a pretty meadow (which is not our garden), visible through the bay windows of the living room, in which there is a water tower, also visible. (Be careful : during summer season, the garden is not as green as in the pictures) - You will have to give kibble to the cat (see animal section on this subject). - You will need to practice a minimum of maintenance for the swimming pool. - To go to the village on foot you have to walk 250m along the departmental road.

Schöne Wohnung mitten in Maray mit kurzen Wegen zu Geschäften oder Restaurants und nur 2 Minuten zur U-Bahn.

There was a misunderstanding. It was my partner who filled out the reviews (personally, I am against the culture of "stars" and a society that "rates", I always refuse to do it and I never read reviews when buying or renting).
After discussing with him, he made a mistake: we had two rentals, one on Homelidays, and one on Airbnb, and he swapped the two rentals. I am sorry for this situation, and I would not want it to hurt you.
In any case, to return to our house, thank you for reporting these small inconveniences to us. You should or could have told us during your stay: in particular the fridge (sometimes, the cold is not strong enough, and there is a little "trick" to get it working again.) and the glasses of wine (did you find them in the cabinet next to the large table?).
I looked at how to change your review, but I did not find it. Sorry
I hope the rest of your vacation went well. With pleasure, Emmanuelle
