The space
This deluxe oceanfront corner apartment boasts fantastic ocean views from almost every angle. The living room, kitchen and dining area have beautiful Ocean Views straight ahead and through the large side picture window. Views of the Islands of Lanai and Molokai are unobstructed and straight ahead. These are not views out of the side of a building or looking across another balcony.

Enjoy the sound of the surf and West Maui Mountain views from the additional bedroom and bathroom windows.

Watch whales jump and teach their young during the season (Dec-April) from your private balcony. Enjoy the sunsets and sparkling coral reef views. And all year long, be thrilled with the frequent visits of the Hawaiian Green Sea turtles, considered sacred by the Native Hawaiians.

If you are really lucky, you may spot pods of local spinner dolphins and the occasional monk seal frolicking in these protected waters of West Maui. Guests tell us the views of the whales from our high-floor apartments are better than their whale-watching tours.

The building is on a unique point of land, sometimes causing the dramatic sound of incoming waves to break in from both the right and left toward the building.

Ocean conditions can change the shoreline.
Occasionally with high surf, there is no sand beach directly in front, and the building is virtually in the water.
There is a walkway at the back of the parking area that is always available to the beach and other resort areas if this occurs

Hawaii has a tropical environment and Hawaii therefore has bugs. We continually treat for pests as do hotels and condos in Hawaii. However, these pests occasionally will enter regardless of our efforts. They fly into and they attach to objects brought into houses and rental units. We cannot guarantee that you will not encounter any bugs or insects during your stay. We will not refund any rental funds based on pest complaints.

Beautiful Condo

Very nice one bedroom condo in a corner unit with great views of the ocean and whales. The shower was really nice and the kitchen was well stocked. The only negative is the property, it is in need of some upgrades and the pool area is definitely not impressive. Also do not talk to the people in the office, they were very rude.

Location, Location, Location

Exactly as advertised. Saw literally hundreds of whales from the lanai. Short walk to Duke's for Hula Pie. Short drive to Sea House for breakfast (Haleakala pancakes). Food truck court right out front of the building. We grilled fresh fish at the pool from the Fish Market less than a half-mile away. This corner unit feels much larger and bright and open than others in the building. Next time we come back to Maui, it'll be here.

Superb ocean views

We chose this condo for its views and were not disappointed. The corner lanai looks out over ocean and islands. Sunsets were remarkable. Views from inside were great as well. Kitchen was clean and well equipped. Bedroom had a comfortable bed and was completely quiet. Plenty of towels and basic supplies are provided including dish soap, dishwasher tabs, detergent, paper towels. Nearby elevator made carrying suitcases and supplies easy. Plenty of (free) parking. A winner!

Incredible Honeymoon Experience

The pictures don't do this apartment justice. My wife and I spent our honeymoon in room 901 and would not have it any other way. We would spend our mornings watching sea turtles bath in the crystal clear water, in the afternoon as the waves came in we body boarded just outside the hotel, and at night we would enjoy wine while looking at bright stars over the ocean. Hotel was clean and stocked with plenty of towels and cookware. There is a grocery store within walking distance of Maui Kai that will have everything you need. Snorkeling was spectacular, again, just right outside of the hotel. The owner was great and everything was as described and better. We will never forget our experience and would definitely encourage others to stay here!

Perfect spot for two, but close family members would fit in as well. Views are spectacular! There is easy walking distance to eateries of all sorts and even a grocery store! You could walk to nice swimming beaches. We could spot turtles and a monk seal from the Lanai. Since our trip was mid-May, there were no whales to observe. We appreciated the lack of crowds of to many tourists during our stay. ( not deserted, just relaxed and pleasant) The kitchen was well-equipped with basics. Towels and beach chairs were available. The bed was comfortable. We had 2 days with beautiful rainbows: one over the beautiful fields and mountains behind the unit ( like from the bedroom and back balcony and one from the lanai as the sun was rising. It stretched clear over Lanaii to Molokai. It was amazing!

The property was nice. Can't beat the beautiful views. We couldn't get the tv to work and asked the owner for help with this and his reply was to mess with the wires behind the tv. When I'm on vacation i'm not interested in fixing tvs. Also there was no broom in the unit and the vacuum didn't keep the sand in as the canister. It wouldn't stay shut and kept emptying out. The shag area rug is also quite filthy. The bathroom was nice. Great shower. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen had all conveniences. I would stay here again if they fix the tv and get a broom and new rug.

The renter called and said they had problems connecting to the TV. We did ask if the cables were attached to the back of the tv from the modem into a specific input rather than scheduling someone to the unit. We did not hear back from renter after the request. We were not informed of the rug or vacuum problem or would have had our cleaners immediately respond to the issues.

Supplies and registration..

Need to supply baking a sheet and hot pads in the kitchen. Fan would only turn on at high speed and remote didn't seem to work to control it. I sent an email to the property manager to let them know we arrived late, but never heard back. There wasn't any form in the room for check in/registration as indicated would be. Front desk said they don't work with VRBO units.

Great Location and great view Nasty dark bathroom, would prefer a normal toilet rather than a bidet style. didn't feel sanitary old worn bed linens no practical storage for suitcases could not use kitchen due to infestation of small spiders/ants dirty old floor rug stored in bedroom closet sliding door fell apart and we had to cancel dinner plans to wait for repairman who although very nice, had forgotten that we had called...he seemed overworked Some resident of the building were clearly unhappy about there being short term renters in their building so at times we felt unwelcome Reference to a cooler and snorkel gear should be disregarded as those items should be replaced Hosts were dismissive about our concerns

Not Quite as Advertised

Let me start by stating that my wife and I had a great time and the condo was adequate. The pictures and description make it sound a bit more luxurious than it really is. First, the pros: The view is unbeatable. Best part of the entire stay. The condo itself is not upscale. The dishwasher is on it's last legs. The HD TV only broadcasts Analog signals, so it doesn't appropriately fit the screen. Everything seemed a little "worn". Stains on the carpet, the bed squeeked everytime you moved, the bathroom is dark. Probably being a bit too critical, but the advertisement set the expectations higher. All that being said, we had a great time and the condo fit our needs for the week.

This condo has a new and completely renovated kitchen except for one appliance. The kitchen has been completely renovated with new Asian mahogany plantation style cabinets, new premium granite counter tops with special edges, new sink, new faucet, all brand new appliances, except the dishwasher which works fine. This condo has a newly renovated bathroom. The bathroom has a new granite top vanity, sink, faucet, and lighting. It is only dark if the shade is pulled down or the lights are not turned on. This condo has a floor that is not carpeted. It is natural wood and rock. The bed with the king tempur pedic mattress was does not squeak. If it did and we were notified we would fix it. The TV does have HD on the higher channels.
