This was just a great place to stay. Comfortable, clean, spacious, great AC. Great location, extremely walkable to everything we wanted to do, and right across from a metro stop, but also the apartment was quiet and the neighborhood wasn’t packed with people like other areas. Really felt like we were getting a taste of actually living in Madrid, which we wanted. Could have happily stayed longer. Main downside was that the shower didn’t drain very well. We also struggled with the showerhead, which is adjustable height but we couldn’t get it to stay up high enough. So, the shower needs some attention. Otherwise, no complaints. Great host, and we had a great time. We’d love to stay again, if we are ever back in Madrid.
The apartment was in a perfect location to walk everywhere with so much to do! The apartment was sunny, comfortable and very clean. We had an amazing time here and would highly recommend.
The apt is in a great neighborhood and very close to cafes, restaurants, and groceries. The host has a lot of recommendations and info about the area. Two bedrooms, large living room, and one bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped w large table.
We enjoyed our brief stay at this conveniently located flat. So much to see and do and the flat was a perfect place for respite. Plenty of room for our family of 3 with an added room for hanging out. Will return next time we’re in Madrid.
I stayed here during spring break with my two college age kids and we loved it. The apartment was clean, well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The location was fantastic and we had great communication with the host, Santiago. I would stay there again.
Great hosts, good communication and accommodating. Really great neighborhood, so many restaurants and large variety of traditional tapas places as well as any kind of food. Wood fire pizza place do the street…fantastic. Only issue was the shower drain was too slow.
We had a great experience staying at the apartment and working with Santiago. The apartment had everything my daughters and I needed as we spent the week exploring the city of Madrid. Santiago was very responsive to my questions before arrival and also sent us a lot of information and suggestions for what to visit and see in Madrid.
We stayed four nights in June 2023 at Santiago's comfortable, spacious and quiet apartment. Santiago accommodated our early arrival which was very much appreciated. The apartment is in a great location for exploring Madrid and there is a grocery and wonderful coffee shop/bakery right around the corner. The elevator was very welcoming after long days of walking about the city. We would hope to be able to stay again on another visit to memorable Madrid.
Lovely stay in Madrid at Santiago’s apartment! Perfect for a couple or small family and amazing location to reach the main plazas museums and historical sites. We were there in beautiful weather, I’d caution anyone in the summer heat as apparently you’re not allowed to run the AC after midnight. The apartment was very cute, very quiet, beds comfy and nice living room, though I thought the space could use a deep clean and fresh (er) towels. Great to have a washer to do a little laundry while traveling, and nicely appointed kitchen. Lovely bakeries, cafes and dinner spots very close by!
How can the location of this place be right in the centre of everywhere AND still it is so quiet? Unbelievable. You walk right outside into the mad buzz of Malasana, but inside the apartment it’s so peaceful
Location can’t be beat, spacious flat and great water pressure in the shower
Myself, my wife and a friend had a great time staying at the flat in Madrid, Santiago made our first ever visit to Madrid stress free. The communication prior to our arrival was excellent, the flat was clean and the size was perfect for 3 people. The location is great, a metro station is very close which allowed easy access to whatever we wanted to see. A list of restaurants and places to have drinks was provided for us, which we followed to a place called La Musa Malasaña. If you stay here, make a reservation and go there, you will not be disappointed. Thank you, Santiago, for an excellent overall experience, if we ever make it back to Madrid we will be sure to check this place out again.
Everything was fine. Things one should know: Host is enthusiastic, but communication is slow. The second bedroom is small and the two single beds can not be pushed together. Elevator is delicate bordering on faulty so plan on walking up four flights. Hot water is delightfully hot. Night time street noise can be loud, but that’s Madrid everywhere, yes? Excellent neighborhood for food, nightlife, walking.
We stayed here and loved it! It was perfect for the three of us, and we could have easily fit two more people. The apartment was very clean.
Santiago communicated with me through WhatsApp and dropped off the keys at a nearby restaurant so that we could check in whenever we wanted. He provided a PDF of close restaurants and useful information. I struggled to find a few of the restaurants, so maybe it needs some updating.
We felt very safe, a metro station was very close, and the Gran Via is less than a five minute walk so it’s very central.
I would stay here again if I returned to Madrid.
Most important thing for us, especially since we were there on a weekend, was that it be quiet at night so we could sleep. Happy to report that there was no street noise, even though the apartment was centrally located and convenient to many restaurants, subway, etc. There has a been a bit of wear and tear on the place since the photos were taken, but we've seen worse at other VRBOs. There is a large closet in the primary bedroom, but it was kind of musty, so we kept the closet empty and the door closed. It did not trigger my allergies so I was fine with it. Owner seems like a nice guy, although we didn't meet him in person. Apparently he even has some kind of special medical plan available should his guests need it.
My husband, teenage son, and I stayed during the US Thanksgiving holiday timeframe and had a wonderful time. The neighborhood the flat is in, Malasana, was awesome! It’s vibrant, more local than touristy, but convenient to walk to most of the places you want to see and things you want to do in Madrid. We loved going to bakeries and shops literally right around the corner. Santiago was gracious and accommodating host. He has wonderful lists and guides of places to eat and things in the neighborhood.
The flat is not huge but was very comfortable for our family of three and could easily accommodate four people. We enjoyed the older, quaint European vibe of it. One small recommendation would be that a blind in the primary bedroom be installed. The window covering is quite sheer and the adjacent apartment building pretty close. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and absolutely loved the neighborhood and its proximity to so many things.
The apartment was clean, quiet, with all amenities and perfectly situated for a first-time visit to Madrid. We were able to walk everywhere, to markets, restaurants, and museums..
Three of us really enjoyed our stay in this apartment which is in the heart of a great area of Madrid. The beds were comfortable, everything clean except for a bit of mold in the shower stall. The kitchen had limited glassware but basics were there if you are just having breakfast and eating out for the most part. Best not to have a car as parking is either impossible to find or very expensive in this area. We didn’t need the car as public transportation is readily available and taxis affordable. I recommend this apartment for a short stay in Madrid.
Excellent emplacement. Tout se fait à pieds. Parfait pour découvrir le cœur de Madrid!Nota: information pratique, un garde valise automatique à 250m. Formidable !
This is a clean, well-maintained and comfortable apartment in a safe and vibrant neighborhood. There are many restaurants, markets, and coffee shops close by. Easy walk to Metro stations. Lola gave me early check-in, and her local host met me there as promised for a quick orientation and to provide the keys. It’s a 3rd floor walk-up.
We needed a a place that was convient for getting around for the madcup futbol tournament. This flat did not disappoint. A metro station was right around the corner with great places to grab breakfast and coffee. The flat was clean and fit exactly what we needed. It’s silly to star but the water pressure was amazing.
Easy to find. Metro stops within easy walking distance meant I could get anywhere I couldn’t already walk to very easily. The neighborhood was quiet and the bed comfortable so sleep assured. It was a very comfortable place for my home base as I explored Madrid. Thanks for a great stay!
