Parrish Hill: Cozy & Convenient Walk-to-Town Cottage w/ Firepit

All of the standard clichés just work for this walk to town cottage...cute, quaint, cozy, convenient, and so much more.  So close to town but feels so secluded.  Relax on the covered front porch swing or around the outdoor fire pit during the cool Highlands nights. Guests can even roll out the outdoor dining table to sit under the carport and have a summer BBQ. Inside, a stocked kitchen has a pass through window to indoor dining, and the spacious living room has plenty of seating to gather around the large stone fireplace and enjoy the game on the large Smart TV.  

The master bedroom has a King sized bed and an additional 2 Twin beds.  The guest bedroom has two Queen beds and an ensuite bathroom.  Both bedrooms are equipped with smart TVs. Experience all Highlands has to offer, with its unique shops and world class dining only steps away from this cozy mountain home!

[All of the homes managed by Highlands Vacation Rentals have wifi internet access(speeds may vary based on different providers), basic kitchenware & dishes, linens provided, and a starter set of amenities including: 2 toilet paper rolls per bathroom + A set of personal shampoo, conditioner, hand & body soap (also per bathroom), 2 paper towel rolls, a few kitchen trash bags, a kitchen sponge, some dish soap and a couple of dishwasher and laundry detergent pods. ]


CANCELLATION POLICY: Our cancellation policy (effective for bookings confirmed after April 1, 2024) is outlined below:
For reservations that are 21 days or less, A reservation cancelled ( by email receipt ) between 0 - 45 days prior to arrival is not eligible for a refund. If reservation is cancelled more than 45 days prior to arrival, guest shall receive a refund of all payments made* less a cancellation fee of 10% of the total cost of the reservation AND the cost of any trip insurance if purchased.
*Refunds do not include third-party service fees as those are determined by the booking site and we do not control how those funds are processed.
For any reservations that are more than 21 days, No refund will be given unless the property is re-rented over the previously booked dates.
You may purchase Travel insurance to cover your trip for cancellations. Contact Highlands Vacation Rentals for details.

Relaxing time in Highlands

Great place to stay. Cozy house secluded in the woods on the edge of town. Very clean well furnished place. Very inviting from the moment we walked in. They had music playing and lamps on to welcome you. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait until we can return to Highlands to stay there again.

Family trip for Baptism

We came to Highlands for our Godson's Baptism and this property was absolutely perfect! I have 2 small kids (18 mo and 3) and they loved it! I was cozy and clean and so close to Main St. We'll be back!

Cozy!

The house was perfect for our family. The only issue was I’m everything was through text message with the rental company. We asked for umbrellas( to see if there were any in the house somewhere before buying them) and I never received a response. Otherwise, the house and property were fantastic.

Parrish Hill review

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. My wife and I and our two sons who are 16 and 18 stayed there for the weekend bfore Thanksgiving. We found the place very clean, and it was well appointed for cooking. The indoor gas fire logs were much enjoyed as was the outdoor fire ring. The cottage is within easy walking distance to any place you would wish to visit downtown, but the landscaping around the house made it feel very private. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay there, and we would happily refer friends and family there.

Lovely mountain escape

Everything was as advertised - adorable cabin and great location! Only a couple of things to note - the bedrooms were colder than the main living areas and it took awhile for the heat to warm them up, would recommend getting the heat going right away if it's chilly. Also, there was a Keurig but no K-cups. Fortunately we were able to buy some at the store. Very minor, though. It was great and would come back again!

Charming cottage, Great location.

Such a charming cottage! Upon arrival, the string lights and the porch swing were so welcoming! The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. This was such a neat trip and the house made it memorable.

Perfect Cottage Close to Town

This cottage truly felt like "old Highlands" with beautiful original woodwork on walls, ceilings, and even doors. The beds were very cozy and the living room/dining area provided plenty of room to spread out. It's located on the Post Office end of town and easy to walk to the attractions on Main Street, though we usually drove because our kids are quite small. Would love to stay here again sometime!

Fantastic home in Highlands!

We had an outstanding stay in Highlands at Parrish Hill!! The location was perfect. We were easily able to walk to Main Street and various other areas of town, but we felt like we were tucked away in our own private retreat. The lot itself is treed and private, but we were super close to everything we needed! We walked to the grocery store nearby, gas station, and to Main Street all very easily. We were here for Thanksgiving, and the home had everything we could possibly need (and more) to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner! We stayed here with another couple and their 2 year old. The space was ample for the 5 of us. We loved Highlands, NC, and when we come back, we definitely plan to stay at Parrish Hill again! We all agreed that it was everything we needed! It was clean and beautiful! There is a fire pit outside, as well, where we were able to make smores and sit around the fire in the evening. There is plenty of private space around the home for little ones to play outdoors! The beds in both bedrooms were super comfortable too!! We couldn't ask for more! Thanks for letting us stay at Parrish Hill!!
