The vintage Nor’easter Beach Cottage boasts a laid back tropical feel. Tasteful, updated, clean, and comfortable. This property is located on a private street, (some locals call it the BEST street in Salvo), and is just 45 steps to discreet beach access and a mere 2 minute walk to the Atlantic Ocean. This area is one of the best stretches of beach on the OBX and the private access means you will always get the best seat on the sand.

The Nor’easter Beach Cottage is a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom home with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. There are no shared bedroom walls! The ground level has parking for two vehicles, access to the very private outdoor shower with hot water, charcoal grill, large locking storage room, and fish cleaning station. The front porch is well furnished including a hot tub! Inside you will find quality furnishings, a well equipped kitchen, and relaxing coastal decor. The living area has plenty of space to relax and watch cable television. The dining area has a stunning custom made live edge wood table that seats six. The kitchen is well appointed and equipped for any meals you may plan. It has stainless steel appliances, a three seat breakfast bar and an extra large pantry. One of the main level bedroom has a queen size bed, eastern facing windows, storage, and private access to the main level bathroom. The second main level bedroom has twin bunks beds, a pull out twin bed, and plenty of storage. There is a laundry room with a full sized washer and dryer. Also on the main level is a second living space with a pull out couch, streaming television, wet bar and small dining space.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms: a primary suite with a balcony with east and west views, private access to upstairs bathroom, streaming television, large closets, and plenty of space for a pack and play. The second upstairs bedroom has a queen bed, eastern facing windows, streaming TV, and ample storage.

Life on Hatteras Island has it's own pace. There is no place like this on earth! The beaches are pristine and literally stretch for miles and miles of white sand and dunes. You will see dolphins, pelicans, crabs, and amazing seashells everyday. You are centrally located to ALL Rodanthe/Waves/Salvo has to offer. Bring or rent bikes and ride the tri-city bike path to the market, dinner, ice cream shop, cafe, or the sound. Whether you are a beach lover, surfer, fishing enthusiast, enjoy birdwatching, kite surfing, paddle boarding, bike riding, want to see the piers, lighthouses, and historical monuments or just chill out and read a book, this property is for you.

We had a fantastic long weekend at Kelley’s place. House was well designed, super close to beach and nice, modern furnishings. Great location on a quiet street, just steps away from beach. Feels like an oasis, complete with a hot tub and lovely deck. 100 percent recommend.

So Beautiful

Our first ever trip to OBX was amazing. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. Great location in a great neighborhood. Easy 5 minute walk to the beach, with all the beach toys you will need. We will stay here again next time we go.

Awesome House.

Property was clean and very comfortable with a great layout if you’re traveling with children. Beach access is a breeze. Kelley answered all of my questions and checking in and out couldn’t have been easier.

Perfect getaway!

This property exceeded our expectations. It was extremely spacious and had everything we needed to make us feel at home. It’s just a few steps from the beach, which we practically had to ourselves. The hot tub was a great option too! The homeowners were quick to respond to any questions, and were extremely accommodating. We would definitely book again!

So glad we found this hidden gem down south in the Rodanthe/Salvo/Waves area! The cottage was clean, spacious, and well appointed. My family of 5 had plenty of room to spread out, and we could've accommodated another small family or couple if needed. The beach is just over the dune and a really quick walk, which was a big draw for us. You'll find everything you need in the shed, including a beach cart to lug the provided chairs and sand toys to the private ocean access, where you won't be fighting for a spot. There's just enough stores and restaurants in the immediate area to find some of thr essentials for your stay, but overall this is a very quiet part of OBX. Really nice for relaxing and undwinding!

Best Vacation

We lived the Noreaster. We had 2 families. 1 newborn and 3 toddlers and the space was perfect. The beach was close enough that we could easily get back and forth with the kids. The living space was big enough for each family to have a couple of rooms and privacy. We will def be booking again!

Family get away

Great place for a family especially with small kids. So close to the beach, quiet street, and easy access to essentials with a dollar general and waves market 2 minutes away. Neighbors were extremely friendly. New privacy fence around the hot tub was also a nice touch. Our kids felt very at home with toys and games in the closet. Owners were very easy to contact with any questions. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet family beach trip outside of the busy, noisy (bar populated) areas of the outer banks.

2nd year memory making

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is again, everything youd want and more. Kelley is beyond responsive, very quick with answers, we couldnt want more. The house is so clean, neat, well organized, well prepared for a larger family, close walak to the beach thru a beaituful shaded walk to the dunes. The kids 5, ages 4-11 were so excited to go back to "our" beach house for the 2nd year, as this is how we have decided to buikd our memories with our kids who have come from other walks of live to our home and life. We are excited to book again for next year. THANK YOU!

Great place to stay!

My 5 children (ages 11-21) and I had a great time here. Everything was very clean, the beds were comfortable, we could all spread out, the kitchen was stocked with supplies so we could make meals. The host was very responsive. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach. Nearest big grocery store was about 25 minutes away so have your supplies before arriving. 😊 The only small issue we had was in our last morning we ran out of toilet paper in one bathroom and could have used another garbage bag. I’m sure if I would’ve contacted the host, she would have resolved it but we made due. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Experience

The home is on a quiet street and a very short walk to the beach which is ideal for a family with little kids. They had all the beach gear we needed for a fun day at the beach including umbrellas, chairs, toys, beach cart, etc. The outdoor shower and hoses were very helpful for washing off all the sand! The house was big and filled with every amenity we needed to make our stay comfortable. The property overall was very clean and well maintained. Kelley was very helpful and responsive as a host. She was able to provide recommendations on local restaurants, activities, etc. We were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend it for others.

Just what we needed but didn't know it!

Wow! I don't what I can say, but Wow! The home is amazing, perfect, everything you'd want in a home away from home. I can't imagine needing anything more than what was already provided. Indoor play toys, games, under the house chalkboard, hot outside shower, 2 living rooms for the kids to watch a movie while we sat and destressed in the other living room, comfy beds, the house, location, and all the accommodations added to our memory making event. The host was super. The home is so clean, very comfortable and up to date. Enjoying morning coffee on the new deck was great too! We are in hopes of booking and coming again. Thank you for everything.

Large family at the beach

We loved the place. Beach access was easy. We appreciated the outdoor shower. We were very thankful for the shed, loaded with beach goodies (boogie boards, chairs, sand toys, and a wheelbarrow to carry it all). We loved the hot tub at night.Inside was great as well. Very clean, and dinner seating for a large family. The kitchen was very nice (suitable for our annual "meal competitions"), was well equipped, and had plenty of storage space. The beds were comfy. There was enough sitting space for those who wanted to be together and for those who wanted to be apart.

Spacious house with modern appliances and hot showers

This was our first house rental in OBX. Online description was spot on about distance to beach and interior of house. Kitchen was nice as well as the bedrooms. Bathroom shower was nice and plenty of hat water. First time in hottub and had a fun time. The boys played cornhole in back yard. We would stay there again.

Great location, great host

Easily the quietest and most relaxing beach stay I’ve been at. Worst part is the limited parking but there is an empty street right behind the house that we parked on and had no issues. Hot tub was dirty upon arrival but quickly cleaned within 24 hours. Pine trees above the hot tub are always dripping needles into the tub which is why it was dirty. I highly recommend this locations!

Beautiful Place

Perfect location for walking to the beach. Close enough to places like Kitty Hawk to drive without being in the crowd full-time. Beautiful place to relax. The kitchen is set up well for cooking. Be cautious if a lot of rain is expected due to flash flooding.

Perfect for families

Our stay at NorEaster was perfect! We had children ages 3-12, parents and grandparents and we all found the place to fit our needs perfectly. Just yards from beach access and a very short drive to the Salvo Day Use Area for the little ones. The house was spotless, with all the amenities we needed for the week, and very well furnished. The meals we shared together were a true highlight. We loved how quiet the neighborhood was and that the kids could bike on the street. We will make every attempt to bring our family here again!

Fantastic Property

Amazing

This was our first time in the Outer Banks and we absolutely loved it. The Nor’easter is in a great location and the amenities provide exactly what’s needed. The house was very clean and the owners were quick to respond to any questions we had. The location was perfect for us and we couldn’t have picked a better house for our first visit. We’re already planning our next trip and can’t wait to explore more of the Outer Banks.

Small family getaway

The pictures for the house dont do it any justice what so ever. Way better than expected, quiet friendly street with easy access to the beach and short drives to the near by shops and diners.

Family Time

We booked this rather last minute and were happy to rent it for a long weekend. Since it had more bedrooms than 3 of us needed, we were so glad that a few of our married children and spouses could come too. We could walk to the beach, and spent most of a day there. The house was very clean and up to date and had what we needed. The hot tub was enjoyed as well.

Worth the cost!

We stayed here for a quick little get away with some friends. The overall experience was good. Everything was as shown in the listing. The only complaints I have is that there isn’t much in the way of pots/pans AND the shower/bathroom on the main level is really dated. The shower knobs were functional but falling off. I still would book this place again in a heartbeat despite those issues.

Our family enjoys riding bikes, looking for sea shells on the beach, and relaxing in the hot tub. We LOVE Salvo and hope your family enjoys the peaceful area as much as we do. We aim to please and want your vacation to be memorable and carefree.

The Nor'Easter boasts EXTREMELY easy beach access in a very quiet residential neighborhood. The property is an easy bike ride to Waves Market, Dollar General, and the bike trails.
