Featured on HGTV! This seaside cottage features 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. It is only 1 lot lot away from the ocean with ocean views from the kitchen, living room, and deck. There is easy beach access that is only a few steps (65 feet) away! This cottage is less than a half mile from the Pamlico Sound, which is a world class destination for kite boarding, wind surfing, and fishing. Upon arrival you will find a complimentary welcome package including 1 Roll of Paper Towels, 2 Rolls of Toilet Paper,1 Bottle of Dish Soap,1 Bottle of Laundry Detergent, 1 Bottle of Hand Soap, 2 Dishwasher Pods, and 1 Sponge in a reusable tote Bag to help you get settled. Only bed linens are provided. Bath towels are available for rental.
This cottage also features 4 flat-screen TV's, Roku soundbar 2021, high-speed internet, Wheeleez beach cart, and a 44 jet hot tub. Enjoy coffee (commercial Keurig and brewed),or cocktails on the swing inside the screened-in porch overlooking the waves.
This beach side cottage has a recently remodeled kitchen which features new quartz counter tops and stainless steel appliances. There are 2 newly renovated bathrooms which have granite vanities and glass vessel sinks. Of the three bedrooms, two have queen beds and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds. Beds have memory foam toppers and 100% cotton high-quality John Robshaw designer hand dyed, hand sewn bedding .
From the screened in porch and front deck you can hear, smell, and see the ocean!
This home also features an outdoor shower, charcoal Grill, stereo, CD and DVD player, and Keurig brewing station. We encourage you to view our other rental VRBO 2014620 for a very similar cottage that is located just steps away. Based on availability, these two cottages would provide the perfect solution for those traveling in larger groups so that everyone can have their own space yet still be together. The cottages are perfect for young families with a no traffic beach access.
This area of the Outer Banks has several well equipped tackle shops and great restaurants. During the summer months the beaches have multiple sea turtle nesting sites and incredible shelling opportunities. It is a short beach walk to Rodanthe pier.
You can take a drive south to Buxton to see and tour the Hatteras Island light house or take the free ferry to Ocracoke island, the HQ for the famous pirate Blackbeard. If you travel north there are also interesting things to visit like the Jockey's Ridge State Park and of course, the Wright Brothers Museum. Footprints is dog friendly, and there is a $150.00 pet fee per dog. * We do not rent on Craigslist.

Family vacation

We loved the location . The house is decorated with a good beach vibe ! Loved it !! It was perfect for our family . Very short walk to the beach ! We walked to the pier and to get coffee nice walking area. The ice maker did not work and the light over the stove did not work just FYI. The beach chairs under the house could be replaced . I think we used 2 of them . The screened in back porch was nice we enjoyed playing games out there and the hot tub was a nice way to end the evening! I would def stay here again ! Thank you

Great OBX home

Lovely home just steps from a very nice beach. Well appointed and perfect for a family vacation. Obviously well cared for property with everything you could need for a short or long stay.

Very quaint and close to the beach.

Wonderful stay!

The house was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The area was very quiet and felt secluded even though we had neighbors on all sides. The property owner was quick to respond when we had an issue using the key code. I would recommend this rental to anyone and everyone! We hope to stay there again!

Beautiful Location

We loved our stay at this super cute beach cottage. We had all the comforts of home and more. The kitchen is well stocked and the decor is second to none! Only a few steps from the ocean. Loved the hot tub as well.

Our stay was wonderful. It was perfect for the whole family. The kids loved the sand below the house with the toys and the hot tub with the view of the ocean was so relaxing. Being so close to the beach was great and the house had everything we needed.

Great stay! Close to beach access. Was good for younger people, my 80 year old mom could not get onto the beach via the access. Just drive a short ways done the road to a beach access with flat ground.

Beautiful cottage

My family and their dogs had a wonderful time at Footprints. Everything we needed for cooking and/or entertainment was there. The refrigerator even had a built in tv and dvr...............never seen that before!! I believe what we enjoyed most were our evening sitting out on the porch. Thanks for a great vacation.

Wonderful!

Footprints was perfect! Very toddler and dog friendly. It had almost everything you'd need (except toddler booster) so we were set! The location was great and the RV parks were never an issue. Very clean, cute decor, highly stocked with convinces and the hot tub was an added bonus. The fat wheel wagon saved us on our trips to the beach and our daughter enjoyed the books provided. Would highly recommend!

Nice Property and Stay

The house is pretty, well-appointed, and well decorated. The space is clean and modern. More lights under the house would brighten it in the evenings, but it is nice and is usable as-is. The beach was slightly crowded, which is unsurprising given the proximity of campgrounds. Evenings on the porch were fantastic, with a nice cool breeze and perfect temperatures. Easy access to the beach, convenient location, would recommend.

We so enjoyed staying at Footprints! The house was beautifully decorated, and the owners had truly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and accommodating. James and Donna were wonderful to correspond with, and were quick to answer any questions we had. Beach access was just a short walk with close access. We loved the screened in porch and hot tub. This is such a beautiful area...our only complaint was that we had to leave!

Wonderful cottage close to the beach!

This cozy home was perfect for my husband and I are our dogs to stay for our annual OBX vacation! The bed was super comfortable compared to other rentals we've stayed at before. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with every tool or pan needed, and the keurig machine was amazing! Everything was cleaned with care when we arrived. The location was great, and we spent many hours on the deck listening to the ocean across the street. Our hosts were very responsive to a small issue we ran into with the wi-fi when we got there and got it fixed within minutes. Can't say enough great things about this house! Thanks so much for having us!

We loved our stay at Footprints!

The cottage has so many features that we enjoyed. . .the screened porch, deck, hot tub, short walk to the beach. The area is low key, which we prefer, and a nice motorcycle ride to surrounding towns. The cottage could use a good floor scrub, especially the main living area, in addition to some other deep cleaning needs. We purchased cleaning supplies and hit some of the high spots ourselves. But. overall, a great place to stay.

Cozy getaway with a great ocean view

Loved the location and the options available at this home! During our stay, we had rain, mist, wind, and sun. This house provided options for all! During heavier rain and wind, we used the screened in porch that was protected from the wind. During the mist, we hung out in the hot tub and looked at the ocean view. When the sun was out, we used the deck or walked 1 min to the ocean. It was beautiful and we look forward to booking again!

Footprints! What a great gem!

We stayed at Footprints for a week with a teenager and our dog. The house is not only spacious and beautiful, but it is very comfortable. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever experienced in a Vrbo home! The hosts have thought of every little detail to make the guests’ stay a pleasant one. Foot prints is very close to the beach and all the restaurants, stores, and other needs in the area. The covered and open decks were great places to gather and the hot tub was an unexpected bonus. We did not have any issues that needed the hosts’ attention during our stay, but when we had a couple of questions, they answered immediately. We would certainly return and recommend Footprints to others for a relaxing vacation.

Other than the weather..

The stay was good. We happened upon a week with hurricane Debby so beach time was limited. I ended up in the hospital so unfortunately I missed vacation so the reviews are from my husband and kids. We had to buy paper towels and toilet paper and garbage bags which I thought should have been included with the rental. The only thing as far as cleanliness I would comment on is that the beds sheets had sand in them upon arrival. I also think that towels should be provided to your guests. All being said, we would stay here again. The views and the patio were wonderful. Really enjoyed the hang out place under the house which we used often since it rained most of the time. Loved the distance to the beach and that you allow dogs!!!

Footprints

Our family enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The listing and photos on VRBO didn't do the house enough justice. The house is laid out so perfectly, every room was so nice, the kitchen had everything we needed and then some, the screened porch and deck were a favorite for all of us including Jake, the family dog, and 5he bonus was the relaxing area under the house. Amazing! My family and I will be returning as often as our schedule allows us! Thank you James and Donna for opening your home to our family. The memories we got to make playing games, relaxing on the deck, enjoying the hot tub, and playing in the sand and ocean; will never be forgotten! The perfect get away!

I’m not a person who normally leaves reviews but I can honestly say I have never been happier with a rental. The pictures don’t do the property and house justice. It’s in the perfect location, just steps away from the beach. No need to pack a heavy cooler for lunch, you can just walk back to the house. The house had a living space with board games we enjoyed playing together as well as books for all ages. We were struggling to turn the hot tub on (and despite its “malfunction” being our user error) the host swiftly handled it and had someone come help us turn it on the next morning. The screened in porch was key in the evenings for relaxing, and the wheelbarrow for hauling chairs and sand toys to the beach was such an helpful tool as well - one of the many little things that truly made this an easy and relaxing family vacation for us. Check out was a breeze, we were all worried we were missing something because in past years the check out procedures are endless, not with this beach house. I seriously can’t express what a great stay and over all experience this was for me and my family. We will be returning!!! If you’re looking for a house in the area you won’t regret staying here!

Great vacation!

We loved Footprints house with the unique decorations. The screened in porch and swing were amazing and we used the tub every night. The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen has all kinds of pans and pot for and every possible utensil for any occasion. The fridge and all appliances are modern and the best. The neighborhood is quiet and even though the house is between 2 RV parks, the house still feels secluded. Communication with owners was fast -there was a new password for WIFi (which works great). The house is very close to the beach. We were greeted with a welcome gift (float) and a small but valuable and necessary starter pack of toilet paper, detergent and dish wash soap. Just one thing: the colorful couch sits 3 people to watch TV, but no more. I would suggest an L-shaped couch there so more people can use the living room. (Was right for our family of 5 adults (grown up kids) Also wanted to mention that proximity of 2 RV trailer parks did not increase noise, but the beach was very crowded for Rodante . Overall the house is adorable and updated and we will definitely come back :

Wow! We were perfectly comfortable and at home from the moment we stepped into Footprints. We had the most lovely time and enjoyed every detail so lovingly stitched into the tapestry of this home. I could go on and on about the details, but all I’ll say is that it was a haven of peace and we could feel the love so thoughtfully placed into every inch.The screened in porch was our favorite spot, the beds and linens were so comfy, and the home had all the little details to make our stay including lots of games and books.
