The kitchen is well equipped including a waffle iron and hand mixer!! The home is near so many fun and varied places to visit!! We were 2 adults, two teenagers and 2 grandparents had a wonderful time!! We stayed 4 nights!

The historic Officer’s Quarters is a lovely place—three spacious bedrooms upstairs and large dining room, living room and fully equipped kitchen on the main floor. The tinned ceilings and chandeliers are beautiful. Wonderful covered front porch to sit on.

We had such a wonderful time in this charming old house. It is perfectly located to enjoy Fort Stevens and surrounding coastal areas, and just a short drive to Astoria. Thanks to our hosts for making our stay easy and enjoyable!

Historically Awesome

My family loved this old house. It takes you back in time and is still laid back and comfortable. Very nicely restored! The location is great. Fort Stevens is a must see and take a quick trip to Sunset Beach.

Beautiful historic home with everything you need. Lots of games, books, puzzles for all ages. Located in Fort Stevens State Park. About 1-1/2 block walk to Fort Stevens property and 4 block walk to Fort Stevens National Cemetary. Watch the deer and Elk graze in the park across the street or in your front yard’s

Great location

We had an amazing time at your vacation rental! It was roomy and we loved the historic nature of the rental and surrounding area. Perfect History

My family and I feel very fortunate with having spent time in this residence. It was very clean, nicely furnished, wonderfully restored, and the loving attention to details was apparent. We, four adults, felt very comfortable in this home and everything was set up to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Historic house by the beach

This was our second visit to this property because we enjoyed it so much the first time. It is a great location for those who love to be outdoors, close to the beach, and right next to Fort Stevens for lots of walking, biking and other outdoor activities. The house is beautiful and quiet. We'd go back a third time!

Great Place for Family!

We loved this house -- exactly as described and the only bike friendly (actual paths) area on the Oregon coast that I know of. Having a playground out the front window was great for the kids. The only thing I might add is curtains or black out shades for the windows. Super friendly hosts -- and this is a great house without a rental company go-between.

Family fun at Fort Stevens

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property! We were lucky to have a chance to meet Andrew the owner and get advice on ways to enjoy the area. While I dont recall the playground described in the post, my 2 and 5 year old grandkids were thrilled that this was so close. Seaside and Astoria were very accessible but this was also a perfect spot to relax! Thanks for the attention to detail!

Lovely old home

Clean and fresh, well appointed. Fun to be in an historic building. Well equipped kitchen. Somewhat inconvenient that the three bedrooms were upstairs with one bathroom while the other bathroom was downstairs.
