Welcome to our little bit of heaven, Hammond Hillton on the Oregon Coast. It's our pleasure to have been welcoming guests to our home since 2012, with the intention to provide comfortable and safe lodging in the heart of beautiful Hammond / Astoria.

Our 2-story home is situated at the mouth of the Columbia River, with historic Astoria to the east and Ft Stevens State Park just to the west. This is our family's happy escape, well suited to maximize comfort, relaxation, and rejuvenation while having easy access to the scenic beauties of the North Coast, truly Pacific Wonderland!

The cathedral ceiling living room has full views of the Columbia River estuary which spans four miles across to Washington's Long Beach Peninsula. The Columbia River's narrow shipping channel is situated immediately in front of the house offering an ongoing parade of maritime traffic; enjoyable from the front yard Adirondack chairs, or from the cozy comfort of our living room sofa.

A 2-story living room opens up to kitchen and dining areas with panoramic views of the Columbia River. A 75” SONY Bravia smart TV sits above a gas fireplace and flanked by 2 large living room windows. Entertainment options include YouTube TV with HBO, and multiple streaming platforms like MAX, Disney+, Apple+, Netflix, Hulu etc.

A well stocked kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and cooking implements, makes staying in and cooking a pleasure. A powder room is conveniently situated off the main living room area.

Upstairs are three tastefully decorated bedrooms each with a comfortable queen bed and smart TV. Master bedroom en suite has a walk in closet, comfortable lounge chair and commanding views.

This home is not for people unable to climb stairs. It has many steps. This home is not childproof.

Great property

This is a great property. We would stay again. Only suggestion would be to put a screen door on the front door so you can leave it open at all times and smell the wonderful air.

Amazing property and location!

This property was perfect for our family vacation this year! It is the perfect location between Astoria and Cannon Beach for us, and there is so much in Warrenton/Hammond as well. The property is private and has the most amazing view of the river. The property included all the perfect amenities to make it feel like a home away from home. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to a friend! The property accommodated our two dogs perfect as well. We had a wonderful experience!

Great place!

This house was just as advertised and was a very comfortable and pleasant Christmas stay for me and my family. There was a lot of attention to detail, and they provided everything you could ask for and more. I'd like to come back in the summer, because the weather was too cold and wet to enjoy all the ample amenities they have outside. Thank you!

Family Bonding

This was a trip for myself and my adult kids. It was the perfect location and house for us to explore the surrounding area. It has wonderful view of the Colombia River and we enjoyed watching the boats go by every day. Everything and more was provided from a well stocked kitchen to comfy blankets to relax in living room. The location was great and the house extremely comfortable and well equipped.

Fabulous escape from everything! So quiet and peaceful setting with lovely water views. So well equipped all details addressed. The only problem we had was the tv in the living room. We followed instructions but could not get it to work. Great for family or friends.

Fantastic View

The home was very clean, but previous tenants left a great deal of trash outside. The owners were aware of the trash situation and comped us with an extended checkout time at the end of our stay. They were very responsive. The home was very well equipped to make our stay very enjoyable. Couldn't be happier with our time spent there and would definitely book a stay at their home in the future.

Ahhhhh!

Our party of five had just put in a grueling four-day conference and we were ready for some down time. We were so pleasantly surprised as the house far exceeded the photos! Every detail from the very comfortable beds to the wonderful décor and finishes made our trip wonderful. The view couldn't be better and the location is quiet and private. The house is so clean, well stocked and maintained that we immediately felt right at home. We all agreed at the end that it was one of the best vacations we'd ever spent? Thank you so much to our wonderful hosts! We hope to come back very soon!

Paradise

This is the best house we have rented in Oregon. Location is superb and the view ever changing as boats and ships ply the river right out your front door. The house and kitchen are very well equipped, TVs is every room although we never turned one on except to watch the local news for the weather. The owners were very accommodating, allowing us to add additional days to our reservation and their "house book" is very well done and explains every feature. This house is located very near paved bike paths going out to Ft. Stevens and the south jetty and one going to Warrenton along the river. We made several 10+ mile rides along different trails in the park. Astoria is loaded with fun things to do; Sunday farmers market, High Life adventures zip line tours, guided sturgeon fishing, Lewis and Clark interpretive sites abound, downtown Astoria river trolley. After a full day, it is wonderful to come home to a glass of wine on the front lawn in comfortable Adirondack chairs. This house, the location and owners are winners.

My family stayed here and absolutely loved it. The pictures just really don't do it justice. The house was so clean and well maintained. It is pet friendly however we left our fur babies at home for the mini vacation, but they had everything you could need for them. The hosts were amazing! If we ever plan to go back we'll definitely book this place again in a heart beat.

Cozy with ALL the amenities

3 generations - grandparents, parents and grandson - stayed 3 nights in this lovely, comfortable and beautiful home right on the Columbia River. This house is so well equipped with anything you might need....TV's that are great, pool table, bikes, games, great kitchen...it has it all. Very well located in Hammond. Close enough to Astoria and would rather be in Hammond. It was a wonderful 3 night stay and the owners are very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay at this great home !

Great Getaway

Very conveniently located between Seaside and Astoria. Perfect view and comfortable home. By far the best stocked VRBO that we have stayed in for kitchen and bathroom supplies/spices/cookware. Log in for almost all Apps on the TV's was convenient and very nice set up for watching a moving in the living room. The garage also had a nice pool and foosball table for the kids. Double washer and dryer so no need to over pack. One evening we had about 15 Elk bed down in the open lot. Great stay and would do it again.

Coastal winter

This turned out to the ideal place to comfortably enjoy freezing temperatures, high winds, and snow. And a blue sky day at the start! The accommodations were as complete as any VRBO we’ve ever experienced. Ships, Bald-eagles, a pair of Bluebirds, six spectacular bull elk at Ft. Steven’s made for great wildlife viewing.

Great stay with awesome view

Family get together from several states enjoyed this super nice home for 4 days. We loved the ever changing views, played pool in the well supplied game room, sat out at the firepit at night, and ate several meals at the house. Kitchen is well stocked as are the bed and bath line s. Loved the fluffy bath towels. Main bed was very comfy and had a great view of the Columbia. Beautiful home, would stay again!

Great water view home near Astoria!

This is a great property a few miles from Astoria with expansive views of the Columbia River. We enjoyed the home for a late Thanksgiving getaway with our family the first weekend in December. The hosts were easy to communicate with before and throughout our stay and were kind enough to allow an early checkin and late checkout. Their home was immaculate with comfortable beds, high quality linens, bath towels and bathrobes, and an extremely well stocked kitchen with basic pantry supplies and every appliance and kitchenware item you would need for any meal. Rainy weather limited our use of the outside areas (fenced back yard with patio and gas grill and both gas and wood fire pits in the front yard with open views of the Columbia), but we enjoyed the garage game-room and the comfortable living room. While there we visited the nearby Ft Stevens State Park and the Astoria Maritime Museum and enjoyed a great dinner, take-in, from The FishMongers right down the street. Would love to visit this great property again!

Son's 60th birthday.

This place is amazing if you like river watching. The men all went salmon fishing and we stayed at the house. This is the best equipped house we've ever stayed Clean, comfortable and anything you forgot is here. Loved watching the fishing boats and huge ships and barges going up the river. Decided I'd love to live here year round.
