This was a perfect choice for a group of friends over the weekend to enjoy the gorgeous beach and also hangout inside during the rain. It's not too far from groceries and other interesting locations like Cannon Beach and Fort Stevens
Exceptional relaxation & comfort. All modernized appliances
Family reunion time in this spacious, modern, exceptionally well-stocked kitchen, comfortable furnishings, plenty of room to dine, stretch out, assemble puzzles, play board games, bicycle the quiet neighborhood, walk the beach, dig razor clams in nearby beach, watch birds, deer, coyotes, waves, sunsets, read, and breathe!.
This is our 4th time staying here. This house fits perfect for our needs. We are ready to schedule our next stay. Sheri is an awesome host. She answers quickly and very helpful. The house is well equipped and roomy. The area is beautiful. Quick access to stores for anything you need.
This house was larger than I expected. Often listing say "sleeps x" but it is a tight squeeze. Not here. It is quite lux, also. You can see the ocean, but it is a bit of a trek to get there (several minutes). Deer everyday in the front yard. Plenty of parking. It was definitely worth the cost, which I thought quite decent considering the size and quality.

Not the best experience
The area is nice and wildlife was fun to look at. However description of the property itself did not match our experience. It took a few minutes to unlock the main door due to a loose lock. This house is older and smell inside is not the freshest. What you see in the pictures is not what you actually get. It looks like it has not been remodeled nor repaired for years. The sliders are very hard to open. The deck is dirty. The fridge wouldn't make ice, it's door is loose. Be prepared to catch kitchen cabinet's door when you open it as it falls off. There is leak from the ceiling in the ping-pong area. The main window was dirty (mold?), not what you expect to see while looking at the ocean. It is a further walk to the beach than the pictures seem to show.
P.S. This review is based on the actual experience and not driven by the extra charge.
Pros: We were very pleased with the large spaces set up with lots of seating. The bed situation is the best we've found in 20+ years of holding a girls family vacation. The kitchen easily accommodated several women preparing food at the same time. The kitchen was also stocked with everything you can think of including spices and condiments. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded in a gated community. The waves aren't really visible but you can see the ocean from the front side of the house upstairs. The parking is decent for a coastal property and can fit 5-6 cars and still allow them to get down the driveway. We requested early check in and were able to get inside a few hours early. We called about some problems and were able to get ahold of the property manager right away. Almost all the beds were reasonably comfotable. The walls are pretty sound proof too. Cons: The biggest problem was some cleanliness issues. The kitchen table was covered in crumbs, the downstairs toilet had poop on the seat, there was a lot of dust on decorations, blinds etc. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the beach access down the street and another 5 minutes minumum through the dunes. There were more rules than we've ever seen before including not wearing shoes in the house. It's an older home with random spots updated and very eclectic decor. Overall these weren't deal breakers for us and we are booking again because it gives us most of what we want. We had a large group of sisters, moms, daughters, aunts, and nieces and we had a great time!
I had to contact the owner the day before we were leaving on our trip to find out codes, etc., so I'm docking a star for that. The house was pretty clean when we got there and the bedrooms were pretty close to advertised. The master bedroom has a comfortable bed, but the others were not so comfy as reported by other family members. There is a lot wrong with this house that could be easily fixed. If you are renting this house during the summer when the weather is warm be prepared because the air conditioning is broken and no windows can be opened for circulation. There were two screen doors, but we could only open one and that one seemed to be hanging on by a thread. My son-in-law (who is an HVAC tech) tried to work with the air conditioning by replacing the batteries in the thermostat but could never get it running and didn't want to mess with it more than that. Unfortunately, the wall that faces west has all set in windows with no blinds so no way to block the sun, so it got unbearably hot indoors. The main oven in the kitchen doesn't work and my son-in-law who has a degree in culinary arts couldn't figure out the wall oven very easily. Eventually he figured it out, but not until one meal was two hours baking because it was still in preheat mode. The dishwasher seemed to be hanging on by a thread and should be replaced, but the kitchen was pretty well stocked with pots, pans and plates, which was good, but the dishwasher is small so we were doing two loads a day. As mentioned in other reviews, the wifi is terrible so my grandkids were very disappointed that they couldn't be on their devices at the same time. My husband had a medical situation and everyone had to get off the wifi so that we could skype with a doctor. The DVD player was broken so no movies. Apparently, we had too much garbage because we lived a two day drive away and didn't want to haul garbage home with us, so we got docked for having excessive garbage...maybe the owners could invest in a third garbage can? The wildlife was fun to look at and literally walk across the front of the yard, but two of my grandkids were chased by the bull elk because they happened to walk between him and his cows, so be careful during rutting season. It is a further walk to the beach than the pictures seem to show, but there is a way to drive to get onto the beach a couple of miles up the north. We love the Oregon coast, but we won't stay in this house again until it's repaired.
Our group of 9 had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. One of the most well stocked kitchens in a rental house that we've had. The house was very clean with plenty of towels. Most of our time was spent admiring the view while listening to music and having great conversation. We would rent this house again.
Access was simple and straightforward. Wi-Fi worked on all our devices. Kitchen was large with duplicates of numerous duplicates of needed utensils. Lots of rooms and spaces to play, relax, or get away from the big group.
We loved it! The pictures in the website did little to give someone the accurate view of how nice the home actually is. It was very well stocked and every room was comfortable and beautifully styled. There wasn’t a great view of the ocean really, and it was a couple of blocks to reach the beach. But these things were not a problem.
So many sleeping opportunities beyond the number of bedrooms. Love all the windows. The big blue chair in the living room is amazing! Lots of things available in the kitchen including 2-3 types of coffee machines. Local dear snacking through the yard each morning and evening. It was a lovely time.
Grateful for a large enough house to accommodate all the couples and our family member who has to use a motorized wheelchair. Host was very prompt with responses and very helpful. Kitchen is very well stocked with pans to accommodate big meals. Nice view of a field and the ocean on the horizon. We missed the elk but hope to catch them next time. The brief walk to the beach was fun between storms.
Huge house with more than enough room for our party of 8. Well appointed with everything we needed for cooking and entertaining our family. The only downside was it is rather deceptively far from the beach. You can see it over a large bern across the street, and it is probably a 1/4 mile walk to the beach.
There are eight of us that are mid 70’s and graduated from high school together. We get together every year. The house was huge and really very well done. Some minor issues but nothing that bothered our stay. Sheri was one of the most helpful people I have dealt with in the VRBO system. Thanks Sheri!
