Amazing Views welcome you to your little Piece of Paradise!  Your best vacation awaits you….This fully appointed, one of a kind, townhouse style condominium, is situated in quiet Mauna Loa Village, Keahou  but just minutes from our thriving little town of Kona with restaurants, shops and music!   A three minute walk from the condo will take you to Keauhou Bay, the historic home of Hawaiian royal families.  It offers a safe beach for volleyball, kayaking, whale watching in season, and recreational boat rentals with paddle boarding, scuba diving lessons, fishing and snorkeling tours on Kona's calm, iridescent blue waters.  It's right next door to the Outrigger Resort and Spa and an amazing farmer's market that is held every week where you can shop for all your locally grown vegetables, fruits, and local crafts in an Aloha atmosphere.    Our open and serene two-story condo gives you 1686 sqft of peaceful space for relaxing and taking in all the panaramic views of the golf course and to the ocean beyond.  It is located in a series of low-rise uniquely shaped condos that are interspersed with lush gardens and fountains in Mauna Loa Village.  Each pod has its own swimming pool and hot tub for guests to use and it's almost like having your own private backyard pool/hot tub!   With two master suites downstairs, it is perfect for two couples to share.  Upstairs you'll find the "Great Room" with its vaulted ceiling, kitchen, dining area, half-bath, relaxing lanai, all of which take in the wonderful views, day or night!  Fully equipped kitchen allows meals to be prepared and enjoyed on the lanai morning, noon or as the sun sets. The condo was a great place to stay as my husband and I were visiting the Big Island to celebrate our anniversary! It was a great location in South Kona, beautiful views of the ocean (and beautiful sunsets from the lanai!), easy parking and the grounds around the resort were lovely. The condo itself was clean, nicely decorated and a good setup. The owners were very responsive as well. We would definitely recommend staying here to our friends and family!

Beautiful Sunset

We watched the most beautiful sunset from the Lanai of this condo! The condo is spacious with fun decor. We enjoyed the pools and the beautifully landscaped grounds. You can walk to the harbor to catch a tour. Parking is a breeze if you have a vehicle. Stay here if you play Pickleball the open play sessions were fantastic. We hope to return. The owners are friendly, we hope to return!

Nice and relaxing time with family

Brought my family with 2 younger girls here for a week. We like the quietness of this place. The rest of the complex is under reno but it did not bother us at all. Good location and close to the beaches and restaurants. Wide open space with awesome views. We especially like the pool and the hot tub. I would stay here again if we are back on the island again.

The condo and location are very good. There has to be a better way to charge for the A/C. One does not know what to expect,so I rented the a/c for ten days ( $ 260 ) and used it for 2 hours in 10 days. Also it would be nice to have some beach towels for that price. I would stay there again.

Nice area.

Have stayed in this same complex multiple times before. This unit is different with living quarters upstairs and bedrooms downstairs, which felt a bit strange initially, but it was clean and well equipped. Our daughter lives on the island and spent a few days with us. Everything was fine. There were some stains on the master bedroom carpet when we arrived so I took some dated photos to show they were there prior to our arrival.

Christmas on the Big Island

The location was great as it was not in town but only a short drive to grocery store and restaurants. The upper lanai had an awesome view of the golf course and sunset on the ocean. Property worked well for two couples and was very comfortable. Upstairs lights were limited and took a few days to figure out. Although most of the time is spent on the lanai. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Bring or buy your own pillows and mattress pad.

Couldn’t be happier

This was the best family vacation condo and location that we could of ever hoped for. The hosts are very responsive, kind and courteous as well as the staff on site. The condo was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay of 5 days. Including some beach chairs(4) an umbrella, boogie board and two sizes of coolers for the beach. The pool, spa and BBQ were all really close by to the condo. You can get pickle ball equipment from the tennis pro shop at no extra cost to try your hand at that as well. The views are amazing from the living room and kitchen area. My wife and I enjoyed getting up with the sun to have our coffee to watch and listen all the wildlife around the golf course and property. I would recommend this condo to anyone considering visiting the Kona coast. You will not be disappointed.

Spacious condo w view—but check the details

This was probably the best overall accommodation I have stayed in on any of the islands. LOTS of room, quiet, convenient location, good communication and an extremely well stocked kitchen. The one issue was the AC. The listing has AC as an amenity, but the owner expected us to somehow pay for an additional fee for that before giving us access. This was not indicated anywhere in the VRBO listing, nor was it an option. Given AC is listed as an amenity, it should just be included in the price without any issue upon arrival. It was 90 degrees in the unit when we arrived and the owner required me to send photo proof of the listing on VRBO before she relented and had someone come help us. It’s a wonderful place to stay otherwise—just check to make sure you will have AC if that’s what you expect.

To much noise

We recently stayed in this townhouse and found it very comfortable and pleasant. It was well stocked and everything worked except a set of blinds that we couldn’t close and would of helped with the sun in the afternoon and privacy in the evenings. The unit advertised it had two umbrellas, but could not be found so we purchased one and left it for other guests to enjoy. The reason for the poor rating is the resort owners chose to completely demolish four of the five units in our building. We had construction on both sides of us 14 of the 16 days we stayed. From 8am to 5:30 every day. It’s very hard to enjoy an afternoon drink on the lanai when you have a saw going 20 ft away from you. We have been coming to Hawaii for over 20 years and have experienced renovations in the past but this was hell. After confronting the resort with the noise they seemed to show very little sympathy to our situation and said that the owners are told of future renovations and when they are to start renovations by there unit. I can’t say with great certainty if the owners were aware, but if they did it would of helped knowing what we were getting into before we arrived. Worst experience in Hawaii by far, and will never stay at this resort again.

This condo is is the most beautiful and quiet spot that you can imagine. You can watch golfers, Black Crowned Night Herons and many other beautiful birds right from the second story lanai while drinking coffee, beer or a mai tai (BYO)! Plus the sunset is gorgeous from here as well. It is close to shopping and good restaurants too! It’s really comfortable with many amenities and the resort grounds and pools are lovely. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful home in quiet space

We love Mauna Loa units because the units comprise both the upstairs and downstairs. The location is ideal if you are looking for quiet surroundings. Easy walk to the harbor, the Outrigger, and the grocery store. This unit has a wonderful view from the upstairs lanai. We had an excellent time.

Great condo!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at this condo and consider ourselves super-lucky for this condo to be available for our stay! We enjoyed picture-perfect view of the ocean and golf course from the lanai every morning. Condo had all the amenities we needed, including beach gear. Very spacious rooms, especially living room. Super clean and well-maintained. Communication with Pattie and Bill was timely and simple. We really recommend this condo, one of the best experiences we've had with renting from a private host.

Spacious condo!

Three of us had a lovely stay in this huge condo. 2 large bedrooms with 2&1/2 baths. The living room opens up to a lanai with views of the golf course & ocean. Lovely place to watch the sunset. Conveniently located just south of the downtown area & walking distance to the Manta ray excursions.

Beautiful Setting & Unit

We have stayed at several VRBO properties when traveling and this unit was by far the most beautiful. Sitting on the lanai, you can hear birds singing everywhere and watch the ocean waves crash on shore in the distance. The condo is beautifully decorated with ocean themed decorations & silk flowers, although the pure white carpeting throughout is a bit inhibiting for vacationing. When we arrived we had to call the maintenance man because the key box wouldn't open properly. "Richard" used a screwdriver to open it & said he would have the owners replace it. The west facing verticle blinds in the livingroom were also broken, which made for some warm afternoons. You are encouraged not to use the a.c. if possible, but we were surprised to be charged up front an additional "air conditioner use fee" anyway - which was a first. We were disappointed that the mattresses & pillows are hard & flat & really needed updating. The shower/tubs were also old & very slippery & needed some sort of a mat for safety. Our last morning there, as I was cleaning I discovered the garbage disposal was also broken. Although very beautiful, we felt the unit should be updated and better maintained for the money charged to rent it.

Although we often walked by this resort for many years, this was our first stay.We certainly felt very fortunate with our choice of this unit; it is clean, bright and cheerful, island-flavoured in decor, and everything in running order. We stayed pretty close to "home" for much of our 5 week stay, and enjoyed the lanai, to the maximum - ate every at home meal out there, enjoying golf, sunsets, whales, and luau music from the Outrigger Hotel. Communication with the owners was easy, prompt and accommodating. We highly recommend this unit.
