ENJOYING OUTDOORS:

Enjoy 360 degree views. Asheville celebrates all four seasons but the temperatures are unpredictable. It can snow today and you will be sunbathing tomorrow. You might enjoy snow in the winter, flowers in the spring/summer, and amazing colors in the fall. Watch for wildlife like turkeys, foxes, horses, bears, deer and definitely lots of birds and squirrels.

Asheville has around 60 breweries such as French Broad, Wicked Weed, New Belgium, Highland, Hillman, Burial, and Asheville Brewing Company. Get outside for some great hiking, biking, kayaking. Check out the Biltmore House, Grove Park, River Arts District, NC Arboretum. The home is 10-15 min to almost everything in Asheville.

If you love wine, take the short trip to Hendersonville for some of the best award winning wines like Burnt Shirt, Point Lookout, Stone Ashe, St Paul and more. In the late summer don’t forget to pick apples at the local apple orchards.

Head to Mills River for Sierra Nevada, Burning Blush, Bold Rock Cider and Mills River Brewing, then continue onto Brevard for great hiking and waterfalls like Looking Glass, Triple Falls, Bridal Veil and on a hot summer day brave the Sliding Rock. Of course, Brevard is home of Ecusta Brewing and Oscar Blues.

Or go the other direction to climb to the top of Chimney Rock, hike the Hickory Nut Falls Trail and have dinner at Burntshirt. PS My favorite wine there is Sunset Sippin.

Great place/Great location
The house is just a short drive out of Asheville and so very convenient for going back and forth. It sits in a lovely valley and has wonderful views of the mountains from the screen porch. We sat there morning and later in the evening enjoying the view and lovely breezes. The house is perfectly appointed with all you will need, even bagels and cream cheese in the fridge and snacks and a bottle of wine to welcome you. Great find!

Quiet but close to Asheville
We were looking for a place to stay with our dogs. I was nervous that a place that took pets would be a compromise in quality. I was pleasantly surprised that it was very clean and nicely decorated. It was so convenient for our pets with the fenced in yard. It worked well with our family too due to all the bedrooms. The hostess was very detail oriented and thoughtful. It has a beautiful view of mountains and the neighborhood is surrounded in trees. The short dead-end street had very few houses and was only a 10 minute drive to downtown Asheville. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
