The perfect home away from home. Enjoy the "Ritz Carlton of Carlsbad" in this newer 3 bedroom / 2 bath home on your next trip to Carlsbad, NM. This home easily supports sleeping for 10 guests comfortably. You won't find a nicer home decorated so brilliantly and fun! We got arcade and retro games for the little and big kids too! 65" Flat screen with Youtube TV cable, 55" in the Master and 34" in the Bunk Room. This how features 2 King beds with duvet covers that get washed after each guest (most blankets don't get washed for 6 months of more). Also our Bunk room sleeps 4 and includes a SNES GAME CONSOLE with 500+ games. Stay in this newer house and enjoy the best place in Carlsbad.

Great stay

Visited Carlsbad caverns for my daughter’s birthday. We had a great time and absolutely loved this house! Clean, great communication with the host, everything we needed was in close proximity. We would definitely recommend.

Needs attention

Unfortunately I believe the owner does not live in the area. At the front door there was a half inch of dirt covering the floor and the mat. I understand it is Spring but this did not happen overnight. We spent over an hour cleaning the outside furniture in the backyard which as filled with 12 inch weeds. Not the condition I would leave for guests.

Carlsbad getaway

Great get away place for the family to enjoy the Caverns. Three really nice bedrooms and the couch has a pull out as well. We loved the outside dining area and used the grill for both lunch & dinner. The large dining area inside was great for playing games late at night while the younger kids had a great time playing on the arcade game.

Great place

Brought my family here to go to the Carlsbad Caverns. We didn’t expect it to be such a great place to stay. My kids loved the arcade and the bunk beds. My wife and I were very impressed with how clean the property was and how comfortable the beds were. We didn’t have a use for the backyard but it does have a nice gazebo and is well shaded. One thing I will say is it’s next to a busy road and some of the cars were very loud. Other than that this was a beautiful house and a comfortable stay.

Cavern rest

Well appointed, clean, and organized property close to a lot of fun! Stayed with my family of five over Father’s Day. The house was spacious and perfectly comfortable for us. Kids and adults alike enjoyed competing on the mini arcade game. A short pretty drive to explore the Caverns, lots of delicious restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive, and a great brewery worth a visit. We skipped the Living Zoo due to the heat that day, but that would be a wonderful stop when the weather is cooler. We also made an hour drive up the highway to Roswell, enjoying the museum and other fun alien-themed attractions. The hosts were very communicative, checking in and out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again if we come back for a longer Ranger-guided tour of the Caverns or to check out boating and bass fishing at the lake.

Spotless home, nice location to parks

This Carlsbad home is very spotless and spacious. The pictures are very accurate and we were very comfotable staying in this home. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need and the beds are very comfortable. All appliances and washer/dryer are new; everything is in great condition.....the owners really take care of the home. The kids loved the arcade game! The location is very convenient for visiting the Caverns and Guadelupe National Park. The owners are responsive and provide a very useful manual. It is on a busy street, but we didn't really go outside after long days at the parks, so it wasn't an issue. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this home!

Amazing Property

Wow! This VRBO was fantastic with all the extra touches. It was nicer than my home! It was the perfect location for hiking Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains. It was also very close to town with good restaurants (Rosy’s) and grocery stores. We were traveling with our two adult children and had plenty of room to spread out inside and outside. We ate breakfast each morning on the patio (as the temperatures were so warm compared to NY!). My husband and son enjoyed the arcade game. The property was spotless, modern, and very well-appointed. Brett was easy to reach and very helpful. I highly recommend this property. It’s probably one of the nicest VRBOs we’ve ever stayed in. Thanks for a great trip, Brett!

One of the best VRBO sites ever!

This property could not have been more perfect!! The home is absolutely beautiful and very well appointed. Beautiful decor. Everything has a space and the kitchen drawers and cabinets are even labeled with their contents. I loved the patio. I enjoyed coffee and wine on the patio. Quiet neighborhood. Home is great for visiting Carlsbad Caverns and Roswell. Loved the local restaurants. The Trinity Hotel was really cute and has great foid and local wine. The home was very clean. Everything sparkled upon our arrival. Plenty of towels and paper products for our stay. Property owners were very quick to respond to messages. I highly recommend this property. These owners truly understand what it takes to host a rental property. If we are ever in this area again, we will be booking this property!

Could be nice, but it wasn't

We ended up arriving at the house at 10:30 PM, only to find it a mess. Had it been earlier and had we not been so tired from traveling, we would have left immediately and found a local hotel. From the overly full trash can out front, I suspect that the previous guests really trashed the place and the cleaning crew did the best they could in the time they had. But the place was filthy when we arrived. There were two dirty, used sponges at the kitchen sink. There was what appeared to be cat kibble on the kitchen floor. The kitchen pantry bi-fold doors were gross: the one on the right had bloody fingerprints and the one on the left had a brown goo on it. There was a dried smear on the wall next to the fridge which had tomato seeds sticking in it. There was dried snot (I hope it was snot) on the primary bathroom door knob. The primary bathroom toilet had fecal stains in it. The second bathroom has what appears to be mold on the wall above the shower tile. We took photos and submitted them to VRBO. The place could be nice. But the whole place needs a fresh coat of paint. The walls are dirty. The doors are dirty. There are no encasements on the mattresses or pillows. Bedbugs anyone? We left after one night. Owner gave $100 refund of "the cleaning fee." This place has amazing ratings previously, so we were shocked by the condition and (lack of) cleanliness.

The home was used a place to relax after of long day of visiting attractions in the area: Carlsbad Cave (which is amazing), Guadalupe Mts and several others. It contained everything we needed, was clean and in a fairly quiet area of town. Everything from reservations to check in and check out was communicated in a timely manner. Our only issue was the door going to garage needs a new seal - it was quite noisy with whistling air, and we had to keep to partial open - other than that we would highly recommend the property to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

The property was ok for our trip. However, if we had been traveling with children it would not have been. The lights in the bunk room would not come on. (possibly dead batteries in the remote) The code we were given to get in the front door did not work, and the owner seemed to think we were just entering it wrong. It was never corrected. Also, there is a cool old gaming system in the living room, which we also couldn't get to work. Again, we didn't have any children with us, so it was not that big a deal for us. When you rent a home on VRBO, you expect it to be as advertised and everything in working order. This home was a little disappointing, and we have rented from VRBO over 20 different times. One thing that would be beneficial is a binder with information about the home instead of an online book. Seeing it in print is better than trying to download something to a phone.

The property was well maintained and exactly as the pictures show. We really didnt use the kitchen but it was fully equipped for making a basic meal. Full size laundry, garage use, pretty sure a TV in every room. We were so busy with the national park and other planned activities we weren't around much. It was comfortable and met all our needs.

Wonderful house in Carlsbad

The house was great. Very clean. Everything was labeled (light switches, kitchen cabinets, etc.) Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and eating. Lots of towels, extra pillows, blankets. We would definitely stay there again if we returned to Carlsbad.

Perfect for our needs!

This is a lovely property and perfect for our needs. The place was exactly as described, clean and ready for our arrival. The kitchen was well appointed and we ate in often. Comfortable and convenient

This home was very convenient for us - easy to get onto roads leading to the Caverns and Guadalupe. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms spacious. The Living Desert was a highlight in Carlsbad and the hike. We ate twice at El Jimador. The Cavern was amazing of course as were hikes in Guadalupe. Only issue some of us had that is not under the owners’ control was the three or four barking dogs in the neighborhood - they were quiet after dark tho. Pat

Comfy Clean Close

We spent three nights. Home is spacious and worked well for two couples to enjoy with fairly separated bedrooms and nice central open living area. Home was comfortable and clean and was a nice base location to enjoy the local national parks. Kitchen ha needed cooking utensils and serving wear and lots of various appliances. There is a grocery near by to pick up any basics like coffee etc, as the kitchen is kept clean of old food stuff. We would stay again. We didn't take advantage of small backyard covered patio with grill, but it looked like a nice place to sit on a cool evening. Communication with host was all good, very clear and organized. Enjoy!

Carlsbad VRBO

The check in process was easy as was the check out process. The instructions for the stay were easy to follow. There was plenty of room for our group and there were 8 of us. This home is located on a very busy street so probably not the best fit for parents with small children. The rug in the living room had a turned up corner which made it a trip hazard. It was not as clean as we hoped it would. The sheets smelled slightly spoiled and one of the comforts was dusty. There was no fire extinguisher. We noticed this when we were learning where everything was located. Not enough towels. We hope all of this can be corrected for the next guests.
