We stayed here to visit Carlsbad caverns. It was sufficient but there was an ant problem in the kitchen. We slept cozy. It was a comfortable place. We cooked in but the dishes were dirty and there were crumbs in all the drawers. We cleaned up before we left. Overall it was a good stay.
The property is located in a great neighborhood and is very clean. We were surprised at how large it was and it was very cute. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the location as it was easy to get to our day trip locations. I highly recommend staying here!
Great couple days- quiet house, 30 min drive from Carlsbad caverns.

Desert Rose
The host was very accommodating. We appreciated that she allowed us to use a different unit the first night when the power went out so we could finish preparing our dinner. However, we were a little disappointed in the actual unit we stayed in. The pictures indicated it was newer and in better shape. We had to remove the pneumatic door closure on back door due to noise. It wasn't as clean as we expected, and the fresh wax on the artificial wood floors was a slip hazard until we wiped much of it off. We still had a great time; just wish the bats had arrived at the Carlsbad Cavern so we could have viewed their nightly flight out of the cave.
Just the 4 of us–Grandparents and 2 grandkids on a Carlsbad adventure. This listing was perfect for us. Plenty of room, safe feeling neighborhood, very accommodating. Thanks!
The home was everything needed for an extremely comfortable stay. The neighbor is quite & nice. We ended up staying a month and we felt like we were home.
My family and I had a wonderful stay in Carlsbad. it was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The host was incredibly helpful and thoughtful with the amenities. We will recommend this home to everyone we know.
This a was great house to come back to after exploring the national parks. Very clean, had everything we needed. It was a great idea to put mini split ACs in each bedroom. We were very comfortable even in the 111 degree heat!
The location was in a cute, little, and quiet neighborhood. Our family had plenty of space to spread out. We enjoyed some of the games the host provided. The home was clean and well stocked with everything our family could need.
Older home, but clean and maintained. I was pleased that the main bathroom had handicapped accessible shower. My only concern was that the room sized rug in the living room could be a trip hazard as the corners were not adhered to the floor well. Overall it was a good place to stay
The property was clean and adequate for our stay. I noticed a few damaged items upon our arrival (front door and a couple lamps) when i notified the mngr i got no real response. The smart TV antenna didnf work properly and i had to unplug and replug the tv each day to get jt to connect.
On the surface things looked okay… just don’t look at the floors or under the couch or beds. The same issues from an earlier review from August still stand. Trip hazard as soon as you open the front door. I would look elsewhere for my next trip.

Needs proper cleaning.
Overall the vibes of the house was nice and it was cute. However, the place needs a deep and thorough cleaning. The rug in the entry way needs to be tacked down as several of my friends and myself almost tripped several times. The condensation from the air conditioner units in one bedroom caused the bed to become wet and my friend had to sleep on the sofa. The other beds were comfortable to sleep on. We did not cook but there is not sufficient cookware to prepare much of a meal.

Very cute and cozy, but had some issues
Overall, the home was very cute and cozy, but we had a few things that are worth noting.#1 and most concerning: 3 smoke detectors are missing in the two back bedrooms and the hallway. The other bedroom, kitchen, and living room smoke detectors are intact. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until the morning when I saw the base of the detector on the wall with the rest missing. If an electrical fire had started in one of the rooms while we were sleeping, it could have gone really badly, especially in the room that my young children slept in.#2 There were very sticky stripes around the rug in the living room. I assume it was some sort of adhesive to keep the previous rug that was bigger in size than the current one. If we stepped on it, it stayed stuck to shoes or socks and then transferred to anywhere else we walked.#3 There was dirt in the shower and the nightstand in the kids' room. I assume it came through the windows from the dust storm. Not sure if there's a way to fix windows so that doesn't happen if dust storms happen frequently.
This was essentially glamping in somebody else's filth. All of the dishes, kitchen pans were filthy. The bathrooms were disgusting. Shower curtains and showers were covered with mold, mildew, rust, and soap scum. The ceilings had mold. There was no soap in the second bathroom. Blankets and towels were dirty. There were flies everywhere. The trash was left from the previous rental. The couches were dirty. The kitchen chairs were dirty. They was thick dust on the fans and blinds. This place should be removed from Vrbo based on the mold alone. We would like a full refund and only got $75 back for the cleaning fee.
My kids wanted to visit National Parks between Texas and California; Carlsbad was the first stop. This house was in a convenient location, quite clean, and a perfect accommodation for 4 adults and one child. Great spot!
Super comfortable stay.
Nice & peaceful neighborhood.
The house has everything you will need
Communication with property manager was easy & convenient.
