Lovely House but needs a lot of repairs
The villa is in a good location, just a short drive to shops and beaches. When we arrived it was very clean, it's a lovely big house with an open kitchen living area upstairs, nice rooms and a separate studio down stairs. We liked the views out to the mountains on one side and over to the sea on the other, it was fun to watch the thunder and lightening over the mountain tops. The wifi upstairs was good (none downstairs) and the TV upstairs was modern with all the apps.
I don't like to write negative reviews but unfortunately there were many many issues with the property that could not be resolved. The property manager came round to help, but it was clear that these things were not going to be fixed by the owner.
The freezer wasn't cold enough to freeze anything and couldn't be adjusted - ice creams melted.
The oven in the kitchens did not work, so we wasted food that we had bought and could not be cooked. There was however a good BBQ.
No aircon in the bedrooms, and not enough fans for each room, the weather was nearly 40 degrees so it was very hot at night.
Shower in one of the bedrooms upstairs did not work.
Locks on the sliding doors on ground floor and one upstairs were broken so we could not secure the property, we used some brooms to help keep them locked.
One bedroom could not be closed as it was hanging off the hinge.
The TV in the Studio did not work as the subscription had not been paid.
The studio is on the ground floor and has a very musty damp smell.
The washing machine and dishwasher were not connected in the studio so could not be used.
The studio kitchen was dark because many bulbs were out.
The ceiling light in the bedroom with the broken door (studio) had wires hanging down.
The awning outside the studio was broken and hanging down so could not be used in the intense heat. And is dangerous if it falls.
There was obviously an electrical fault in the studio as the electricity was going off at least 4 times a day. Fortunately, there was a key to the garage where the fuse box was so it could be turned back on.
The water level of the pool was low, we were told how to fill it, but the mechanism was broken and we had to balance it with a stick to stop it from over filling into the garden.
These problems were reported during our stay, and none were fixed. The upstairs is great - but if you rent it you will need to check that there is a working oven, freezer and secure locks on the doors, and a repaired shower at least.
