Marcella Suydam originally moved to Seldovia, Alaska, a town located across the bay from Homer, nearly four decades ago. In this small town, she and her husband Lowell raised their four children, with the whole family including their cat and dog traveling each summer to commercial salmon fish on their seiner in the Chignik area.
After deciding to change this lifestyle, Marcella moved across the bay and purchased what is now Cozy Cove Inn. While she used to live in the view (as her Seldovian friends would say) she now gets to enjoy that view along with the numerous activities Homer provides.
Marcella looks forward to providing guests with comfortable, family friendly vacation lodging, while they get to know this superb Alaskan town.

Why they chose this property
My favorite part is the location. Up above the the main hubs of Homer. The short drive both ways is beautiful. Cozy Cove Inn feels private even though it is in a neighborhood. The lot size is 4 acres. I love the ambiance Cozy Cove offers. The kitchen is so nice with everything you could need for cooking and entertainment right down the the crystal and china. Enjoying the open spacious feeling of the great room is a nice Alaskan feel. I supply many luxury items like soaps, lotions, nice linens, essential oils, candles, and laundry supplies for the 2 washer and dryers. It is important to me that my home helps create a wonderful trip with the best of memories.
