About the host
Your host
My wife Inna is from Moscow and I am originally from the U.S. We are now New Zealand citizens and love the country. In 1996, New Zealand, but especially Golden Bay, pulled me in and I bought this very special property, and I have been now 30 years resident in this spectacular part of the world. As I have decided to semi-retire as a medical doctor and travel, we have just put our main house on the holiday market.

Golden Bay is an eclectic, free-spirited community tucked behind the Kahurangi Mountain National Park Range in magnificent isolation from the rest of the South Island. The community, with the iconic town of Takaka as the center, is populated by an international community representing over 40 countries.
What makes this property unique
Our property, Bayridge, has amazing bush walks, glow worms, and a panorama of the Bay. The night skies are alive with stars and the moon lights up the forest. The peace and quiet is priceless. All this and only 10 minutes to Takaka or Collingwood.
