Such a nice, beautiful cabin in a great location. The hosts, Mark & Dawn, were so responsive and fantastic to communicate with. We will definitely be staying here again!
We have stayed at this property multiple times and already planning another visit. With the dog friendly backyard and cozy gas fireplace, not to mention unique stay with modern touches, it is ideal for us.
Cute and historic cabin, hostess was available for issues (there were no issues). Kitchen was well stocked and we ate many of our meals at the cabin. Hot tub was great. We spotted several grazing moose. Several great hikes right from the cabin. Would definitely recommend staying at this cabin.
Old cabin that is fully modernized. Exceptionally clean. Close to Frisco.(walking distance). Great hot tub in back. Fenced back yard for your dogs. Property is next to a stream. What more can I say. This place is a gem!
This was my second summer in a row visiting this lovely cabin. Great location within a short walk to Frisco main Street shopping and restaurants and most important to me, endless hiking within walking distance to Mt. Royal! A beautiful fenced backyard for my dog with a creek that runs by the property that my dog loves playing in. An original cabin (one of 5 first of Bill's Ranch) of the area with modern updates that don't take away from the original uniqueness. The hosts are amazing people, attentive to your needs, highly recommend this property!
The cabin was even better than in the pictures! It felt remote while being so close to everything. We were able to walk into town and loved being able to walk the Miners Trail to Rainbow lake. The hottub was clean and the fenced in yard was great for our pup. We will definitely be back!!
An absolute gem of a little cabin! We had such a wonderful time in Frisco and the cabin was a big part of it - it was spotlessly clean, so cozy, had a well-stocked kitchen and the bed was comfy. The back yard feels so private and we loved having coffee out there in the mornings with the sounds of the creek and hummingbirds visiting regularly. The hot tub was wonderful after a long hike. The location can’t be beat, so close to town and all the beautiful surrounding areas. We will for sure be back!
Loved the historic cabin! Can't beat the location. Only minutes away from the Reservoir, downtown Frisco, and a ton of trailheads. The hosts were super helpful and made the check in process a breeze. I don't have a single complaint. Will definitely be back!
Great place and hosts. We VRBO about every 1-2 months and this was one of the best properties we have rented. The cabin was warmed up for our arrival on a cold snowy day, and it was super welcoming. Kitchen was well equpped. Dog had a great time.
This was our second time at this cabin and like the first time, it was perfect! Can’t say enough about the hosts who are wonderful with everything.

Not What We Expected
There is no doubt, this cabin could be quite appealing. I think we caught it on a bad weekend. For starters, there was a major construction site right across the street from the cabin. They got to work at 7:30am and it was loud. On arrival we discovered someone had left a half drunk seltzer on our bathroom counter, there were coffee grounds in the coffeemaker and no bag in the trash can. With no closet, bureau or dresser for clothes, we spread our unpacked suitcases out on the granite flooring and went to bed. Not ideal. The sheets were old and scratchy the bed was super soft. After one night, we pulled up stakes and booked another location with a competing platform.
In text conversation with owner, was told our stay would be reimbursed. I said we'd pay for all but one night. No remuneration has been received.
Very special cabin in a great location! The neighborhood is quiet and yet close enough to walk to hiking trails as well as downtown. The hosts take care to make sure their guests are comfortable and the property is well maintained. This is a fabulous spot for mountain activities of all kinds.
If you look for a place that is just the Swedish "Lagom" - not too much and not too little, not too far and not too close, not too large and not too small, not too luxury and not too sparse, not too expensive and not too cheap, this is just the right place you want to be. In 5 min you reach the shore, in 5 min you will be on the trails, in 10 min you walk downtown, it is clean, cozy, comfortable, warm, exhilarating (hot tub under the stars) and calming (you will only hear the wind and the running creak at night). You will want to go back there again and dream of the place when you are back in your daily grinder.
Very easy check-in and excellent communication with property manager. We even saw a moose! Nice and clean rustic cabin that has been remodeled with an awesome hot tub. Perfect stay for us empty nesters with our pups.
This cabin was truly amazing. It was very clean and just as described on VRBO. The creek by the yard was so much fun for my dog and very relaxing to sit on the patio and listen to. The fenced back yard is big, my dog loved it! It's in a great location, you can walk to hiking trails, the marina and main street Frisco. The owners, Mark and Dawn, are very nice and near by if you need anything. The cabin itself is really cool, it's been updated just enough with all the modern conveniences but rustic enough to feel like an authentic cabin. The furniture is comfortable with touches of interesting decor. The bed in the loft is super comfortable. There is nothing I would change about this property, I'll be back again next year.
