About this property
Hale Aikane: Gorgeous Oceanview Home w/Private Pool & Relaxing Garden Lanai
Welcome to Hale Aikane ("House of Hospitality") an elegant single-level home in a private subdivision featuring a solar heated pool and Tommy Bahama decor. The spectacular elevation of this home allows for miles of ocean and coastline views.
You'll be in vacation mode the moment you enter Hale Aikane, which features spacious open-air living areas and elegant Hawaiian decor. Large pocket doors in the living room open up to the lanai and lush wrap-around yard, where you'll experience tropical living and beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean.
Prepare your favorite meal in Hale Aikane's gourmet chef's kitchen, which features fine wood cabinetry and ambient lighting throughout. Furnished with all large stainless steel appliances as well as a variety of culinary essentials, you'll have everything you need to create an amazing meal. The kitchen's large island with additional seating as well as a layout that flows seamlessly with the living areas makes an ideal space to enjoy food and drinks while enjoying time with friends and family.
When you're ready for a peaceful night of rest, Hale Aikane offers a tranquil place to unwind as you drift off to sleep. Hale Aikane features a primary suite and two guest rooms, each one comfortably appointed with queen-size beds, soft linens and pillows, and ceiling fans. Lanai access in all rooms provides the perfect opportunity to sip your morning coffee amidst tropical foliage while taking in ocean vistas. You'll love the primary en suite bathroom which features dual vanities, elegant tile, a soaking tub and an abundance of fluffy cotton towels. One of the guest rooms features an en suite bathroom, while a third bathroom is located just across the hallway from the third guest room.
Additional amenities at Hale Aikane include free Wifi, Cable / Satellite TV, DVD player, and a washing machine and dryer.
Outdoors you'll be enchanted by the solar-heated oceanview pool. Set within the lush landscaping of Hale AIkane's expansive yard, relaxation and inspiration await you. Lounge poolside while watching the sunset, enjoy a barbecue and al fresco dining on the lanai. Every minute spent at this tranquil island residence will create an experience you'll remember long after your vacation is over.
Conveniently located near downtown Kailua-Kona, you'll love exploring the area and its many significant Hawaiian cultural landmarks. Both the Hulihee Palace and the Mokuaikaua Church are located on Ali'i Drive. King Kamehameha I spent his last years living near the current site of what is now the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel, until his passing in 1819. The Ahu'ena Heiau, located on the grounds of the hotel, is a reconstructed temple rebuilt by the late king and is on the register of National Historic Landmarks.
People-watch—and cruise ship-watch—from the Kailua-Kona Pier, where you'll have access to Hawaii's best scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, and dolphin and whale watching. Visit the famous farmers market. Enjoy a shave ice or a cup of Kona coffee. Dine on a light snack or a gourmet meal, buy an inexpensive souvenir or a piece of fine art, book an activity, go for a swim or hang out at the beach. The pier is the official starting and finishing point of the Ironman World Championship (held annually in October), and a great place to watch the sunset. Everything you want and need is readily available in the heart of Kailua-Kona town. Hale Aikane is the perfect home base to explore a variety of Big Island sites and activities, such as Volcanoes National Park, Mauna Kea Observatory and so much more.
***Please note that this property is not equipped with air conditioning. It does however feature excellent ventilation with ceiling fans throughout.***
This property is a licensed short term vacation rental.
