The house has potential and is in a great location. We did have challenges with the stove not working and it was not repaired or replaced during our stay, With no grill provided or available thru the rental company, it created challenges for our large group that prepares dinners at home. Some of the beds were broken and although maintenance was responsive, was unable to fix them. There were also no lounge chairs near the pool area . If these issues are addressed our group would have happily been a repeat visitor.

I’m sorry the stove failed during your stay and couldn’t be repaired or replaced in time — and that some beds remained unusable despite our maintenance team’s prompt response. We’ll be working with the homeowner to replace or properly repair the stove and the affected beds, review options for providing a grill, and add lounge chairs near the pool so future groups don’t encounter the same issues. Summer Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at The Big Chill!! We had a group of 14 adults and we had plenty of room and the ocean view was spectacular. The only disappointment was we were told there was a 12x24 pool and the pictures we had were not the pool that was at the house.

House was large and comfortable with a beautiful view of the ocean. It needed a deep cleaning and maintenance before we arrived. Lacked conveniences such as barbecue grill, umbrellas and chairs. Customer service was poor. Had to text several times for a top sheet for master bed. Coffee pots did not work and it took 2 days to get a coffee pot so had to go and get coffee for 10 guests.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good vacation at The Big Chill. The beachfront location was perfect! The fresh paint on interior and abundance of fluffy towels was much appreciated. The kitchen offered everything we needed. However, we realized after allergy symptoms appeared with one of our party and we collected pet hairs when we swept hardwood floors, that this home had been occupied by a pet. Except for this, all was good.

Reviewer Comments: The big chill Just a few notations about the home :Arrived to towels on the deck and in closets Loose door handle, when we arrived was on a main door with lots of use ..which broke shortly after arrival and we replaced Dirty dishes in the cabinetsLeftover items left in the house A big bag of dirty linens left downstairs in the driveway Carpets were not cleaned/swept No bathmats for the bathrooms -with most of them being tile dangerous situationdirt /garbage underneath furniture We are OK with these things because we are from a big family and used to cleaning up I just wanted you to be aware of how the house was left so that maybe the crews can do a better job in the future We enjoy the house. This is our second time spending our vacation at this house Loved all the updates!We have been vacationing at Garden City Beach since 2005 And we come every three years, we enjoy the area immensely thank you so much for your time and hospitality. You were very gracious and helping us with anything we needed!

Perfect house

We had a group of 10 and never felt crowded. It was the perfect location, loved having the shower to rinse off and hop right into the pool. The kitchen was well stocked and the ac worked great!!!!

Couldn’t have been better

The Big Chill was a fantastic rental for our family group of 17. With just steps to the beach, an outdoor shower for rinsing, to a private pool, our family was more than satisfied. Six of the seven bedrooms had private bathrooms; 7th was on main floor with that bathroom accessible to all. Rental was clean with good kitchen with eat in bar and plenty of dishes. The dryer stopped working but maintenance quickly resolved the issue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
