3 bedroom Directly faces the ocean for flawless view Summerhouse 252

Recently updated! This is our direct ocean front three bedroom / two bath flat. You enter on the first floor and won't need to worry about climbing stairs. This makes your stay more convenient without the need to carry beach equipment up and down stairs. The unit has enough to sleep seven. It is furnished with a king in the master suite, king in second room, Twin bunkbeds with single twin in our third bedroom (additional chairs in closet). Does not accept reservations for less than a week. Tile floors throughout which makes it cool for summer and easy clean up from sand. At Summerhouse we have 4 temperature regulated pools to choose from on property making it comfortable to swim all year round! There are also four tennis courts, two racquetball courts and one pickleball court. We have two grilling areas and two playgrounds for the kids conveniently located at either end of the property. Our common area around the pools are covered with luscious well-maintained grass with a short walk to the beach. Our rental unit has a friendly front office staff and maintenance on site to help resolve any problem quickly if they should arise. We have a small library and a gym available during normal business hours for your convenience.

Enjoyed another year at Summerhouse

Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed another year at this same condo but the guest bathroom needs to be updated and the mattress in the first bedroom is like sleeping on a board. The upside is that the pool is right out front and the pier is next to the condo.

Stone vacation

Reviewer Comments: We had a good experience other than finding a snake in my husbands shoe after he took it off and left them in the bedroom for about an hour and our two year old grandson went to put his foot in them and said “ewe”. Yep, there was the snake sitting there looking out at us!!! Needless to say, I did not sleep that night waiting for his siblings and mom to show up next. The home itself was good except the bed in first bedroom is SO hard that it felt the same as sleeping on the floor. The keys that we were given were very hard to unlock the door with and we learned that you had to continually wiggle it until it would finally open. (It took about 7 to 10 wiggles) We did like the convenience of the end unit of course. I’m not sure that we would rent that unit again though.

Can't see the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Summerhouse but we are having trouble with not being able to see the beach from our beach front condo. I had the same problem but got it resolved but this year no one would listen even though I spoke with the EPA and the county. I also gave them information of who to contact with the EPA to resolve this for the future. The reason we pay more to have a beach front condo is so we can see the beach but the vegetation keeps that from happening. This has been give to the manager so that all the condos on the beach will have a clear view. Hopefully they will do something about it because there is no reason not to according to the EPA. It is a shame that they don't just handle this instead of the customer having to do this and follow up themselves.

The only thing good about this property was the location. The bathrooms are awful. They need updating. The shower and tub are rusted, the sink drips and the drain doesn’t work. The first time someone took a bath, the water leaked through a hole in the drain, through the wall and into the front bedroom. Summerhouse sent a maintenance man to caulk it which was a temporary fix. We spent the week having to limit use of that bathroom. We NEVER heard from the owners. Not an apology, not to check on us, NOTHING. The dishwasher is rusting out as well. The refrigerator didn’t keep our food cold. We had to throw away a package of chicken breasts and a package of hamburger meat as well as a gallon of milk. This is actually the first time I have ever left a review, but I felt I needed to warn people. The Summerhouse people did what they could for us, but they never got a response from the owners either.

Can’t beat the location and view..this year we had some nice updates like new paint and some new furniture. However, the bathrooms and kitchen are dated. Maybe that’s coming in the future?

Disappointing Accomodations

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this same condo for several years and its condition continues to decline! (While its rental fee increases!) The furnishings are old, drawers of dressers are broken, there is mold visible on walls in bathroom and ceilings, water leaks near front door and back door, it desperately needs paint, rug in living room is filthy (we had a 9 month old crawling around ) and the overall condition is very poor for an expensive oceanfront rental.

The master bathroom has a strong odor of urine! Bathroom faucets spray all over the place. Beds need new pillows. The sliding glass door is extremely difficult to open. My 8 and 9 year old grandchildren were unable to open. I feel this is a fire hazard! The screen door also needs replaced or at least new rollers.The electric grill doesn’t work. I have rented this unit for 3 years now and these are the same issues I have put on my survey, with no improvements.

Great location, Condo needs some work

The location of the condo is perfect for getting to the beach. The condo could use some improvements. The bathrooms are old and dingy. Neither bathroom had a working lock, which I've seen in other reviews and am surprised such an easy fix has not been made. The sliding back door is very difficult to open. On our last morning we went for a walk on the beach and came back to find that our code to get back in the gate was turned off. We were locked out. This is unacceptable. If you pay to have the unit until 10am then your beach code should work until then.
