About this property

Windham Family Getaway

This three bedroom, two bath home with many new amenities and a wood burning stove sleeps up to 9 people (max 8 adults) with the pull out sofa. Less than one mile from the base lodge of Ski Windham and a half mile north of Main St., this home provides scenic views and the perfect place to stay for your getaway any season of the year. Ideal for a quiet vacation with your family. The spacious 12'x20' elevated deck faces The Ski Windham slopes. Home is accessable for the mobility challenged, with a wheel chair lift, a ramp for the front door and a low step shower stall with a seat.

In the winter season, we are minutes from the slopes and the wood burning stove makes for cozy evenings after a day of skiing or snowboarding. In warmer weather, go hiking at many nearby trails, or swim in scenic lakes. Back at the house, bbq in the picnic area and enjoy dinner on the deck, followed by roasting marshmallows for s'mores in the fire pit. Be sure to download the star map tracker app to show the kids the constellations in the night sky!

Located on 3 acres, there is plenty of room to explore behind the home. However, since there are neighbors nearby, we do not allow large gatherings or excessive outdoor music/noise. We are not interested in renting to young adults looking to party. The exterior of the house is monitored with a security camera system for both our protection and yours. Fines for non-compliance will be assessed.

Great weekend getaway

We all enjoyed our 2 night stay. The house was well equipped and was very clean. Perfect for kids as well as adults. The location was perfect easy to get around. Would totally stay again!

Mountain getaway

Another great weekend at this home

Our second time renting here was just as great as the first. Very clean, cozy, easy communication with owners, and a fully stocked house with everything we needed. Great house plus only a 3 minute drive to Windham mountain!

Great house

We got to the house late at night but it was easy to find. The house is clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed staying there and it is very close to Windham ski mountain and also not far from Hunter. Will book this place again if we come back.

Great space, great view!

Visited for a ski weekend with friends and couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. Short drive to the mountain, and an even shorter drive to the main drag of town. The house was well stocked with every cooking utensil you could ever need, and the place was warm and cozy after a day on the slopes.

Great house and great location

Nine of us (3 adults and 6 kids) stayed at the house for a long ski weekend and loved it. The house and all appliances are brand new, with a great layout and plenty of space. The location can't be beat. It's literally around the block from Windham Mountain. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Ski Weekend Rental

We've stayed in this home twice. It is clean and comfortable, has a beautifully appointed kitchen and everything a family with children might need. Great location close to town and five minutes from the mountain. A++

Perfect skiing getaway

We rent from VRBO 3+ times a year and this property is one of the best that we hav stayed at. It is very clean, very comfortable, instant hot water, centrally located for skiing, and has updated appliances and kitchen accessories. For our group of four it was beyond perfect. The Owner was very prompt with responses to questions and we could not have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely stay at this property again in a heartbeat.

Would recommend to anyone going to the Windham aerea

This is my second time renting this property! Both times the house was spotless and had everything you could need. Would definitely rent again when going to Windham. Owners are extremely kind and answer any questions promptly!!!

Quick Getaway

Took our teens for a quick trip for skiing and relaxation. Everything was true to the listing, well supplied kitchen, extra sheets and towels were available if needed. Everything was clean and detailed instructions and household tips were given. There were helpful labels and signs throughout. Hosts had great communication. We enjoyed our time!

We were very satisfied with the outreach and check-in process. The home is clean and inviting. We were very comfortable as a family of 3 (although we initially had planned for another small family to join us). The communication with owners was excellent!

Clean and comfortable home very close to Windham mountain

For our family of 4 this house was wonderful and could very comfortably accomodate more people. We loved that the house felt new, was very clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen was very well stocked. The drive to Windham mountain is less than 5 minutes away, restaurants are 2 minutes away so this is a great house to stay at for a ski weekend. We enjoyed it so much that we booked another weekend for this season.

Wonderful, relaxing vacation

The house is beautiful, modern, impeccably decorated. The pictures do not do it justice. Janet, the owner, was wonderful to communicate with and terribly accommodating. The house is quiet yet close to the main street in Windham, which is also close to many outdoor activities like hiking and biking. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks for making it so easy Janet and Steve!

Family reunion.

Perfect for ski getaway

This house was perfect for our family and friends. It’s literally 5 min from Windham. The owners had nice touches and truly felt like a home away from home. Beds were super comfortable. My husband and I had the queen bed room. Our friends had the king room. Bc house was so close when our son got hurt skiing he was able to rest at the house with my husband and was way to drop the rest of off and pick up.

A Perfect Getaway!

We had the most wonderful stay at Steven and Janet's home in Windham. From the time of booking through checkout, communication with our hosts was easy and pleasant. The place was even better than described. Although we were attracted to the pictures on VRBO, the place was in fact much nicer in person. It's very clean, comfortable and was fully stocked with everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. The location couldn't be beat either - less than 5 minute drive to Windham Path, the stores and restaurants on Rt 23, and only about a 20 minute drive to Hunter and Tannersville. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again someday!
