This place was everything you could ever want! Plenty of room, the kitchen was fantastic to work in and even the walk in closets were put to use, they worked perfect to put the pack n play in for a quiet place for the little ones in our group!!😊would definitely remind staying here!
Access to the beautiful Oregon Coastline was extraordinary. Windswept dunes, waves, driftwood & wildlife & peaceful solitude were amazing. The house was welcoming with all amenities for almost anyone. Clean, well organized and great for families. Cheryl, owner, was responsive and accommodating! Thank you!!
The beach is right out your back door in this house built on the sand dunes at the tip of Bayshore. Lovely house with very well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, sauna, games, gas fireplaces. Close to recreational opportunities along the coast and the Alsea River
We had an amazing time at this beachfront house. It had enough space for everyone, the game room was fantastic, and we enjoyed being able to spend the holiday together. When we left, we also accidentally forgot my husband's work computer. The hosts were so helpful and responded quickly. We hope to be able to stay here again!
This house has everything one needs. Great cooking equipment, comfortable beds, and an incredible view. Wonderful walks. It is very sandy so you need to be careful not to track too much inside. My entire family loved it.
All we can say is wow! Property was even better than advertised and worth every penny! Gorgeous setting, can walk right out the back door and your on the beach. Such a comfortable, relaxing place. Cheryl the owner is a wonderful soul, such a kind a gracious host. We can’t wait to be back!
We had a great time at this beautiful home. While on the beach, it was a short 5 minute walk to the ocean. The beach is huge and very quiet. It felt like our very own private beach. The home was comfortable and well stocked with kitchen utensils and appliances. Amazing views of the ocean from most rooms, and a bonus view of the Waldport bridge from the front of the home. The owners were prompt in communicating with us and available whenever we had questions. Would stay there again!
The house was perfect for my midwest family and my family to meet up. We just made meals there and the kids and adults all just roamed the wide expansive beach. Sauna was great. Kids loved the pool table. House was clean and tidy. Kitchen with big island was the main gathering spot.
The sand dunes wisping onto the streets over night was wild to see but not a problem.
We’d definitely stay there again!
Our stay at this property was overall amazing. The house was very nice; clean, well stocked, and aesthetically pleasing! No shortage of seal sightings and once past the trek through the sand, it seems like you can walk forever along the beach! The 3rd of July fireworks show did not disappoint either! The only “complaints” are issues out of the owner’s control. To say this is a sandcastle is accurate (there is no shortage of sand). If you happen to be staying on windy days, there’s really no escaping getting covered in it. Location makes a quick trip of exploring many other beautiful spots near by and the views on the drive are breathtaking!
We stayed here as a group of 4 adults and 4 children and had a wonderful stay. The property is in a perfect position at the end of the spit on a very quiet street. The home has an unobstructed view of the water whereas several homes on the same street have their views obstructed by sand dunes. Checking in was easy, and Cheryl was even kind enough to let us check in over an hour early.
The home is lovely, and Cheryl was an exceptional hostess. She had provided a few welcome gifts like wine and a cake mix and frosting which was enjoyed by the adults and the kids respectively. The living room was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed for some pretty extensive family meals. The gas grill was in perfect working order. The linens in the bedrooms and baths were also soft and clean. All of the bedrooms were spacious and airy. There were lots of beach towels for our use which was much appreciated.
The kids loved the game room and spent countless hours in the evenings playing pool, poker, And watching movies.
The adults enjoyed long walks on the beach and got to enjoy a lot of wildlife like sea lions, seals, crabs and starfish.
We would highly recommend a a quiet getaway- perfect for social distancing as the beach is very secluded.
In spite of a record rain, wind, and sand storm we had a fabulous time. Home is clean and spacious; the game room was great, lots of activities. The sand was unbelievable, but the "sand man" got us dug out as soon as the storm allowed him too. Cheryl was attentive to our needs during the storm and was pleasant to work with.
Really enjoyed our stay. I would say the grandkids loved it, a lot for them to do. On the beach what more could you ask for. Great sunsets with great people. Thanks for letting us rent your place it was amazing.
Other than the listing saying that there were 2 cribs, but really there was only 1 port-a-crib, which really wasn't a problem. Cheryl was very helpful with all of my questions (believe me, I had plenty of questions). She got back to me promptly which is not very common. The house was very nice, decorated with very nice and very beautiful pieces. The beds were comfortable too. It's on a section of the beach that doesn't require hiking up and over high dunes. Basically a straight downhill walk from the backdoor. Plus, God even gave us perfect weather for our large family (staying in another rental) a place to spend the days on the beach and enjoy a night time campfire while watching the sunset.
This was a very nice and clean property with really spectacular views. One note for those staying with older folks: the bed in the ground floor bedroom is higher than usual — not great for my short 96-yo mother (though if my tall 95-yo father-in-law had been with us, he’d have been grateful for the height!) We were very happy to be here for the week.
This was an awesome place to stay although the wind and sand can be rascally, both inside and out. Learn how to use the heavier glass doors properly or you could get locked out.
So many amenities provided made our stay very memorable.
Thank you!
I can’t say enough about how well equipped, comfortable, the baskets of goodies, wine, cider left as a welcome, and just lovely and accommodating Cheryl is as a host. The house was as advertised and better. The kitchen was so much fun to prepare meals and everyone was part of it. It was the most stocked kitchen I’ve ever experienced at a rental home. We stayed a whole week and I have gone back to that view and zen feeling many times since returning to Chicagoland. This was the first time seeing our youngest daughter in 2 years due to Covid and it was glorious. We felt very safe there and we had 2-5 people on any of 7 nights. We are a very careful family. We had a pool tourney one night, used the sauna, checked out some games, watched movies(on our streaming account.)We went crabbing, to a few tiny farmers markets, drove to a few sites, found 2 lovely galleries w/artists work in Yachats. But truly, you could hang out on the deck, watch the sunsets, walk to beach(it is 1/4 mile to water). It’s challenging for some to navigate back and forth on the dunes but the beach is so nice to walk, run, play on. And one night I saw the most incredible night sky ever. The Milky Way was readily visible along with many constellations. My husband saw a few shooting stars too.
All this being said, renters should understand this great house is on the beach. The wind is strong at times. Even being careful, sand enters house sometimes. I also think renting at the end of summer showed some, but it wasn’t a game changer. We are considering a couple, 3 weeks in future there.
Oh, I almost forgot...the bedrooms have these fluffy, warm robes which we loved. This getaway was just what we all needed. The Oregon coast may be my favorite beach experience.
