Pet friendly, 5 bedrooms 3.5 bathroom charming house close to the top of the mountain. Huge open space on first level with exit to the porch. Wonderful mountain house, spacious & comfortable gathering place where everybody can find something unique for himself . Plenty of space for entertaining in the large living room with vaulted ceilings, stone fireplace or in the den & game room. We can fit up to 6 kids or 4 adults (6 possible) in Recreational room. A lot of outdoor space with front & rear decks overlooking the natural level lot. Free parking.
0.5 mile away from Golf Field, 1.6 miles away from ski slopes 2 miles away from Mountain Inn with restaurants, bar. Waterfall and Hiking trials.
Close to wineries and breweries! Four Seasons Resort in the middle of Mother Nature.

The house itself is spacious and in a great location. It can definitely use some updates throughout the house and an intense cleaning (dusting and lots of cobwebs). Owner was friendly and accessible.

Fun Getaway

We had a great time and the property is in a good location. A couple of chairs were broken when we arrived (but useable) and we needed a colander in the kitchen. Very minor things. We were very happy otherwise and enjoyed our stay. It’s a great home. Thank you!

One mile to the slopes!

Den's property was perfect for our group. We had 8 adults and two dogs and were quite comfortable. Any more than 8 adults and someone would have had to sleep on pull-outs. We didn't eat out while we were there and we had brought all our food with us, since we weren't sure what was open during Covid. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking and baking ware. A word of advice to make sure you bring refrigerated condiments (ketchup, mustard, etc) since the refrigerator was empty when we got there. Also, I was thankful I had brought extra toilet paper and paper towels because there wasn't much in the house. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The house was perfect for skiing since it was a quick drive to the slopes. We had groups coming and going if they didn't want to stay all day. We had 8" of snow overnight and the skiing and conditions were perfect! We loved Wintergreen and this house was great!

Such a comfortable home away for the holidays. .

The owner was really quick to respond with questions. Enjoyed the welcome basket with fresh eggs from their farm. Definitely would recommend this home for making lasting memories.

Great Place for a Family Getaway

We spent a week at The Nest this past week. The house is in a great location, close to the Mountain Resort, spa, gas station and market, and hiking trails. My son and I are cyclists and it was easy to get to the Blue Ridge Parkway from the house. The amenities were very good. The owner was very responsive and replied to our questions quickly. We would definitely stay here again.
