The host was communicative, and friendly. The house is older but we'll maintained, the three beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was large and well lit. All bed rooms are upstairs. Large kitchen, dining area, living room, small back porch and a decent fenced in yard. The lighting was a bit fun to figure out some switches some remotes, but all worked. Kitchen was well stocked with items, and utensils, good instructions in the kitchen along with area suggestions. Over all I'd stay again. Neighborhood was quiet, parking for 2 cars off street.
The host went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen was ready for cooking,, just needed some hand towels and pot holders. The walkability to parks and dt was great. The beds were comfy and the rooms were good sizes, especially the primary. Loved the front porch. Sadly it was too wet to enjoy the backyard area for hanging out and letting the kids run. We'd love to stay there again.
The property is within walking distance to the center of town, restaurants and shops. The house is spacious and colorfully decorated. The owner was accessible by phone, very personable and helpful.
We were visiting family in Norwich. We were able to have a nice family gathering in the back yard, which is completely fenced in, so very safe for little ones. Kitchen was well equipped so we could cook for everyone.[only one note: could use a new can opener] Owner was nice enough to let us check in a bit early. Bedrooms were comfortable. Had everything we needed. Will likely return. Definitely recommend!
Family reuoon after 26 years apart
Everyone had a great time. Could have used extra towels being 6 of us a couple nights but we managed. Nice to have had local snacks and drinks waiting
This property was clean and fully prepared for our stay. We love the house.
Could use some updates for Handicapped persons.
Overall we give it 5 starts!
We encountered some issues as a result of a fluke storm that was not foreseeable- Mikey was super helpful, responsive, and easily contacted. The house is beautiful and the dogs loved the fenced in yard area to stretch their legs. we will rent from Mikey on our next trip to Norwich :).
We had a nice time. Older home is well maintained with lots of charm. Easy to find with the cute porch lights. House was just as portrayed online. Home owner was very receptive and answered a few questions quickly.
We loved our stay in Norwich which allowed us to see local family during the holidays. We arrived the week before Christmas to find that the place was well shoveled following a storm and also had holiday greenery, a wreath and lights on the front porch which was so festive. We had everything we needed (and more!) to make festive meals and there were welcoming touches everywhere including bottled water, some local drinks, and extra linens. Easy walk to Walgreens or Dollar General plus nice café Bohemian Moon.

Casa Roja
Enjoyable stay. Very steep stairs for an older couple and the bath/shower was very slippery. TV was difficult to use. But we were very comfortable and slept well. Grateful for the air conditioning upstairs as it was a hot week . We did feel safe here. Thanks Mikey!
Very roomy liked artsy decor and private back yard
Very pleased, However , I feel I should mention that this is an older house, so not all rooms have wall light switches. However, there are plenty of fixtures & lamps for lighting .
Loved the back yard has a privacy fence, relaxing atmosphere with wind chimes.
The home was clean and had artsy decor . I was a bit challenged with figuring out programs for the TV ,but hubby figured it out no cable, but plenty of programs to choose from such as netflix, hulu, amazon prime, disneyplus. would stay again .
This property was convenient for our purposes. We had some difficulty finding and turning on lights inside and the living room lights did not give us enough light to read. Many bulbs were burned out both on the porch string and in the kitchen. We like old houses, but for safety we felt the loose newel post on the stairway could be tightened and a grab bar in the bath/shower could be added.
The amenities provided were great in the kitchen and bath, except for a the lack of some type of a bath/shower soap.
Very spacious old brick home. Really cute relaxing back yard. Backyard was also completely fenced in so if traveling with pets they have a little freedom as if they were home. Decorated with so many cute treasures. Close to all amenities.
Checkin process was simple everything for access was given 3 days in advance.
Host communication was great.
Really loved the fact the host had left some beverages in the fridge for you when you arrived, especially after a few hour trip.
Home has everything to cook there, so no need for take out. Especially if you are one to cook.
Loved everything with the exception, I am a residential house cleaner with my own business, home does need a deep clean, highs and lows pictures are work very dusty cobwebs all over. Overall cleanliness was good as in counters bathroom linens smelled great.
Would definitely rent again to go see my family or sightseeing. Thanks
Comfortable and attractive furnishings. Pretty, updated vintage home with original features. Well appointed kitchen with pots, serving ware, dishes and flatware. 1/2 bath downstairs is actually a toilet in a small closet w/o a sink, connected to the kitchen. Authentic for a house of it's vintage but not comfortable for an adult. Full bath upstairs is large and well stocked with supplies. The blind in the primary bedroom doesn't cover the window. We needed to use a towel to make up for it. The other rooms had curtains instead of blinds. Useless when there is an air conditioner in the window. Inconvenient for privacy and being able to sleep after sunrise.
We enjoyed our stay at Mikey's place, even though the place could use a good deep clean and some long term maintenance. The house is beautifully decorated and Mikey was a generous host both in his response times and little welcome items he provided. Our main issue was with the cleanliness of the property, though not in the main areas (bathrooms, kitchen sink, tables). All the 'secondary'/ background surfaces (ie the many framed images and elaborate moldings) were covered in a thick layer of dust, all the fabric floor coverings (rugs, mats) were a shade of beige, and every utensil and cooking vessel in the kitchen needed to be cleaned before use. Another area of improvement would be with the curtains in the office/ orange bedroom: this is the room with the most windows, one of which faces directly east, and yet its only window covering are sheers. Our 2 kids who slept in there were up at sunrise every morning! All in all, this is quirky old house that provides a lot of space for a traveling family and we were not unhappy with our stay. With some tweaks and a working ice maker/ provided bag of ice, I'd bring my family here again.
