There is a conservatory with a dining table so you can eat dinner with a view of the pretty garden or on a warm day sit in the garden. There is a table and chair in the garden to allow you to dine in the fresh air or just to sit in the sun.

Check in after 4pm (1600) on your day of arrival and check out before 10am on your day of departure (1000).
The village of Galmpton has a steam train running just on the edge of the village and a local station for the steam train in Churston which is just a short walk away, a vintage bus runs through the village and takes visitors to Agatha Christies house and gardens. The cottage has a lovely quiet secluded outside seating area and a long drive for parking. The River Dart is not far from the cottage and you can get a ferry across to the lovely village of Dittisham or to Dartmouth. There are some lovely walks in the area and also green lanes and footpaths. I have put some books of local walks in the property and some local maps.
Throughout the bay there are pretty beaches, the nearest is Broadsands which is about a mile and has a pay and display car park. Dogs are not allowed on this beach May to Oct but a short walk from Broadsands beach across the pitch and putt is Elberry Cove which dogs are allowed on all year around. Elberry Cove is a lovely secluded beach with the remains of Lord Churston's Bath House on the edge of this beach. These ruins always used to fascinate me as a child. There are rock pools to the sides of both Elberry Cove and Broadsands Beach as the tide goes out. I used to spend hours as a child looking in the rock pools at the tiny crabs and little fishes. Broadsands is a sandy beach a great for making sandcastles.
There is also a lovely coastal walk from Brixham to Paignton and on to Torquay.
A few miles from Galmpton is a water slide park which is great fun. It is next to Goodrington Beach and has a nice pub there called the Inn on the Quay and it does nice food and is family friendly.

Lovely family holiday near the sea
Very comfy home which was ideal for our young family - lots of helpful toys, books and a great bedroom for the boys to enjoy too. Really cosy and we had a lovely time.
The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped. We also really liked the area, with lots of good walks available nearby. The communication from Amanda was great, which was really important as we booked at short notice.
Great location for exploring the bay area
The property has everything you could ask for and more including an air fryer
Wanted for nothing
The welcome gift included a bottle of prosecco and beer which was a wonderful surprise and a great touch
Will definitely return
Thanks for a great stay
We really enjoyed our stay. Great communication from Amanda.
The accommodation was comfy & well equipped.
In a quiet location but amenities are a short drive away.
Visiting family in Brixham & will definitely book to stay again in the future
Lovely property, very well equipped and comfortable. Great position for visiting Torbay, Dartmouth and Dartmoor. Good dog walking at Elberry Bay. Nice local pub. Galmpton is a quiet village, yet so handy for the tourist attractions.
Our third visit & we'll be coming back again next year.
A lovely cosy, relaxing cottage within easy reach of everywhere. A good local pub (Manor) within a few minutes walk, had a couple of meals there.
Very near to both Brixham & Goodrington Beach and we went to Bigbury-on-Sea (Burgh Island) and Kingsbridge, which were just over an hour away.
Dartmouth is also a very easy commute as is Dartmoor & Tavistock.
Property in excellent position for visiting Greenway.
Lovely pub in the village , very friendly and serves excellent food.
Property is just too full of nik-naks, no surface was left unadorned.
A lovely cosy cottage in a very nice village location
This is our second stay at this cosy cottage which contains everything you need for a relaxing & enjoyable holiday.
The weather was kind this year so following our return from a busy day out, we were able to sit & sunbathe in the back garden most days.
A central location, we visited Tavistock, Teignmouth, Dartmouth, Brixham, Goodrington Sands, Paignton & Torquay to name but a few!
We'll be returning.
Peaceful setting within a friendly village. Secure garden was a huge advantage with a dog. Everything we needed was supplied. Huge amount of crockery etc, and good appliances. Good to have off road parking, although turning the car in the drive, or reversing in or out was not easy. No hesitation in recommending.
The location of the property is in a small village. Quiet and very relaxing.
The property is very well equipped with everything one would need for a trouble-free stay.
There is a pub in the village and Brixham, Totnes and Dartmouth are a short drive away.
Highly recommended.
We had a lovely stay at Mandy and Martin’s beautiful cottage. Communication was brilliant with lots of great advice on local outings (which was well received - thank you). Cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival and had everything we needed and more. My 3 year old also loved all of the soft toys, books and games. The garden was beautiful too - so private and pretty with all of the ornaments and lights! We also loved the local pub - the food there was amazing and so family friendly. We loved the location, such a pretty, peaceful and friendly village and so close to Brixham, Goodrington and Broadsands. Also a lovely little walk to Galmpton Creek. We will definitely be returning. This place is a real gem and would highly recommend. Thank you very much Mandy and Martin :)
Property as listed, walks from the door- 30min walk to nearest beach (broadsands) or short drive. Easy access to local shops - Sainsbury's short drive. Local pub within walking distance

I am in the RAF but love to return to Torbay when I get the opportunity. I enjoy boating, diving and other water sports and I are happiest when I am by the sea.
Why they chose this property
My family have lived in Galmpton for 3 generations now and whilst I do not work in the area I love to return to the village where I spent my childhood summers. We love the steam train and collecting shells on Broadsands Beach. My Grandpa used to be the bank manager of the Brixham branch of Lloyds Bank and he was bank manager to Agatha Christie.
What makes this property unique
The village of Galmpton has a steam train running by, a vintage bus that takes visitors to Agatha Christie's house and gardens. The cottage has a lovely quiet secluded out side seating area and a drive for parking. the River Dart is not far from the cottage and you can get a ferry across to the lovely village of Dittisham. There are some lovely walks in the area and green lanes and footpaths.
