Cute Mountain Cabin Close to Lake w/Neighborhood Beach Across the Street - 4 ppl
This cute cabin is nestled in one of the oldest Tahoe neighborhoods. Boasting filtered lake views, this cabin has plenty of Old Tahoe charm with lots of pine accents. Located across the street from the Lake it is a very short walk to two neighborhood beaches.
It is perfect for a 2 people or a small family (kids love the loft). There is a private community beach across the street and boat launching facilities very close at the Cave Rock State Park. The spacious deck with patio furniture (late spring through fall) is great for outdoor entertainment and relaxing. For indoor entertainment, there is a flat screen TV with Firestick, DVD player, books, and gas fireplace.
You are just 2 miles from the Zephyr Cove Resort, library, park, and Frisbee Golf course. Spooner Summit is just a 10 minute drive away with hiking (summer) and cross country skiing (winter). The casinos and Heavenly Gondola at Stateline are only a 15 minute drive away. We are pet friendly with prior approval required.
SNOW REMOVAL NOTE: Whether you came to Lake Tahoe to hit the slopes, build a snowman, or simply to relax by the fire, staying at a private home there are a few added responsibilities in regards to snow removal during your stay. I provide snow shovels and pet friendly ice melt which are located next to the front door. If there is a snow storm during your stay of more than 5 inches someone will come by to clear snow in the parking area. I will also come by to help clear the stairs and deck usually within 12 hours. You may have to dig your way out if you need to leave before the snow can be cleared. The neighborhood roads are plowed by the County and also usually cleared at least once a day during a storm. Highway 50 is cleared on a regular basis during storms.
During storm periods I make sure to stay in contact with guests regarding local conditions to make sure they have any vital information regarding the weather and road conditions. I want you to be safe and enjoy our winter wonderland!
Please not the "Property Fee" is a nightly surcharge required by Douglas County.

All cars must be in the designated parking areas, and failure to park in the designated parking areas and/or display the parking placards may result in a citation and fine of $500 from Douglas County.

We had a wonderful week up in Tahoe
We saw some snow while here and the cabin is so cozy and close to everything it’s our second time here and will be back next year!!!
The perfect spot every time I need some downtime or just some peace and quiet house is absolutely amazing and always make sure we have everything we need
The cabin was perfect! Great location with easy access to all of the resorts in the Tahoe Basin. This place exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for hosting us!
We loved our stay. The property was fantastic and the trip to the beach was shorter than expected. I am so grateful it was pet friendly. I only wish it had air conditioning.
We loved this cabin. Great location, very comfortable, generously stocked, very dog-friendly, one of our all-time favorite VRBO rentals. The owner, Kylie, I believe, cares for the property and cares that the renters are happy and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
We loved the location and coziness of the cabin. It was very well equipped, and we made good use of the laundry room. The beach access was nice, and we sunned on the porch. Kylie was a very responsive host.
This home is perfectly located, just outside South Lake Tahoe. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals at home. It is the perfect set up for our little family!

Thanks Nicky, I'm glad your family made some nice memories!
Very comfortable, great location. Loved having a beach so close. Dog friendly environment. We walked to Cave Rock hike every evening. Having dinner on the deck was such a treat. Owner Kylie was very helpful and communicative. Would definitely stay there again.
We had a wonderful time at the cabin in Tahoe, it was a close walk to a sandy beach, where we kayaked and paddled-board. The cabin was cozy, clean and had all the amenities you need. We will be back in October for another relaxing trip during the Fall time of Tahoe!!

Thanks Judy! It was a pleasure hosting you again in October.
Our stay was very nice, the place was very clean and cozy, some of the negative are very tight parking, tiny bathroom with difficult shower to use, house slopes you almost feel like your on a boat. Location right on the lake was so beautiful and relaxing.

I'm glad these guests enjoyed their stay. Feedback is always appreciated. To give more context to this review for future guests I would like to reply to some of the things mentioned. There is parking for a maximum of 2 cars. Parking would be tight if there are two large SUV's/trucks. Please be sure to ask if you have any concerns about the parking.
The shower is in an old fashioned bath tub so you do need to step over the side to get in.
The cabin itself does not slope (floors are plumb). The cabin is located above street level with granite steps up to the deck. I'm not sure why it would feel like being on a boat.
The location is not "right on the lake" although the lake is located across the street from the lakes shore.
I want all my guests to enjoy their stay so be sure to ask me if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks! Kylie
Extremely comfortable cabin with great location and beach access. The cabin has very nice deck. Cabin has everything you might need. Enjoyed cooking but several restaurants close by. Lots to do. Very close to Cave Rock and Spooner Lake.
This was a perfect little cabin for my family and I. Had everything we needed and was close to the water and town. The large deck was fun to play family games on and to catch up on our summer reading. We will be back!
Cute, clean and cozy little cabin. The iwner was sweet as sugar and check in/out was effortless! Would love to stay here again! Too bad the lake is so full; thete was virtually no beach but thats a good thing for Lake Tahoe! We had a beautiful day at Roundhill beach.
This cabin is a gem! Close to everything but feels secluded. Cute and quiet neighborhood .The kitchen is well equipped and there are great books upstairs. Bed is comfortable which was a huge plus!
