The house was clean and well located and came as advertised. If the house had two bathrooms or 1 1/2 baths we would rate our stay as excellent rather than excellent. The house is rated for 6 adults but with only one bathroom it is only marginally suitable for 6 adults.

Hello, I am glad you had a good stay overall. I do agree with you about having another bathroom would be a great add on. These old salt box houses were unfortunately built this way back in the day. Having said that we have been contemplating adding a second bathroom when possible as we intend to use this as our retirement home. Take care, Roxanne

Perfect lication

I would recommend staying here, hands down! It’s a lovely outport home, amazing views from the upper story living room and very comfortable and well equipped overall. In addition, it’s an easy trip into St. John’s and through surrounding area to take in all the attractions on offer.

Charming home away from home

Our stay in this Pouch Cove home was wonderful. We had everything we needed to prepare for all of our adventures. It's close enough to St. John's to travel back and forth daily yet far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again if we are fortunate enough to make it back to beautiful Newfoundland and Labrador!

Very cozy. A good fit for our needs. Full kitchen and laundry. Quiet but close enough to St. John’s to be able to visit all the sites. Great hiking out the door. We hope to be back.

Inconveniences

We were made aware of road construction after it was too late to get a refund to look for another spot. The town was on a boil order and 2 cases of drinking water was provided but the water was shut off for a day. After the water was turned back on they flushed the pipes which caused the toilet to back up several times and we had to clean up the mess. The floors hadn’t been cleaned and was crawling with carpenter bugs.

Hi, I am sorry to hear your stay was not a pleasant, relaxing one. It is unfortunate the city upgrading infrastructure occurred at this time and progressed slower than they anticipated. This is the first time I am hearing about carpenter bugs, we will look into what we can do to eliminate them. In light of this I am willing to reimburse you a days stay for the day you did not have water. Let me know how you want to proceed, I can do etransfer. Roxanne

Stay in Pouch Cove

The home in Pouch Cove was a lovely, comfortable home that served us very well for our month long vacation in Newfoundland. It was half hour from St. John's, and close to so many stunningly beautiful places to visit in the area. Loved our stay, very memorable.
