THE SPACE
Our historic Grizzly Cabin is classic and clean with all of the amenities you need for a perfect stay, including cable and Wifi. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the covered porch or take a short walk to the patio area on the banks of the Roaring Fork River. Guests are welcome to fish our private portion of the river. There is a central fire pit and grilling area as well. Our cabin has one queen size bed, a futon bed, and a full kitchen. The cabin is great for solo adventurers, fishermen or couples looking for a mountain get-a-way.

Our guests love the convenient location of the cabin, right off of Highway 82. Because of the cabin’s proximity to the bus and main road, there is road noise.

Dogs are allowed for a fee of $35/night per dog. Limit 2 dogs. Dogs must be kenneled if left alone in the house. No aggressive dogs are pitbulls please.

This cabin is a part of Snowmass Cottages. If the Grizzly Cabin doesn't meet your needs, we also have 6 other cabins and a log house available for rent on the property with the same amenities and views. Please inquire about group bookings to receive special discounted rates.

GUEST ACCESS
Our natural setting, 20 minutes from world famous skiing and cultural events in Aspen/Snowmass and five minutes from the fabled fly-fishing on the Frying Pan River in Basalt, makes us the perfect year-round Rocky Mountain vacation destination.

Located on the river and adjacent to the Rio Grande bike and ski trail - fishing, rafting, kayaking, hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing are all just steps outside your cabin door.

There is plenty of parking for your car on-site. If you’d like to head to Aspen or Basalt for dinner and drinks, then the bus is a convenient option. The bus stop is a 3 minute walk from the cabins.

*WINTER WEATHER: Because we are located in the Rocky Mountains, weather cannot be used as reason for cancellation. From November to March you must be prepared for winter driving conditions. No refunds will be offered*

Well organized; treated well; great rustic property.
this is wonderful, rustic, small cabin. The star is the grounds - beautiful feel and a friendly group setting. We enjoyed our stay - and life on the river - very much. Dennis

Winter weekend
Working with Courtney was very smooth. The cabin was a bit cold for winter use. Floor and windows are not insulated well. The furnace had to run very regularly in order to keep the cabin warm. Aside from that the cabin was clean, well equipped, very comfortable to relax in after a day of snowshoeing. Only suggestion I would make is to provide a toaster to the kitchen. We had fun and would visit again in the fall.
