Escape from it all to this newly renovated ski chalet for 10 guests in Vernon Township located inside the Crystal Springs resort. This private mountainside house has 5 unique themed bedrooms and 2 decks and is super cozy.

The area offers skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, basketball, family-friendly activities, pool, hot tub, hiking, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, lakes, the Appalachian trail and more! We are next door to Mountain creek, ideal for a family or group of friends.

The space
Welcome to a brand new ski chalet in the mountains around Vernon Township offering stunning views of the creeks and ski slopes.

Newly available to rent from February 2020, this is a home that’s been completely renovated to create a modern getaway for a group of friends or a family who are looking to enjoy time together away from city life.

Your owners and hosts have really turned up the cozy factor to the max in a home with a fireplace and plenty of opportunities for everyone to snuggle-up and hug mugs of hot chocolate in front of the fire. It’s a chance to treat yourselves to some luxury in a home in which you can be yourselves and make yours.

The home is set within the grounds of the Minerals hotel in the Crystal Springs resort and yet is separate from that establishment, offering up more seclusion than you’ll get from most ski chalets in the area. Let’s take a look around:

OPEN PLAN LIVING ROOM AND DINING ROOM
This bright and inviting space is a great place for everyone to gather after skiing to discuss the day’s events, plan what’s happening tomorrow and enjoy good food. A unique moose chandelier lights-up a space that has a fireplace, snug couches with plenty of space and a wall-mounted flat screen television. So kick-off your shoes, grab the remote and make yourselves at home. There’s room for ten at the dining table, so you can all gather for a formal meal, snacks, games, whatever.

KITCHEN
This is where all the culinary magic happens, and the quality of the appliances in here will really help you create stunning snacks and magnificent meals. The countertops are of the highest quality, and the hosts ensure all the essentials are here. So, yes, that means there’s a dishwasher so no one needs to do any washing-up, a hot water kettle and a Keurig coffee machine, so you can start each day of your stay the tasty way.

5 BEDROOMS
Each of the 5 bedrooms offers a distinctive theme and snug place for guests to sleep. Choosing who sleeps where is something you’ll have to decide when you get here - four of the bedrooms have queen beds, the fifth two singles. All mattresses, pillows and bedding is of the highest quality and between them the rooms have plenty of storage space for everyone’s belongings.

ENTERTAINMENT / MOVIE ROOM
Your hosts are delighted to give guests access to a movie room with a massive 65 inch smart Cable TV through which you can hook-up to Netflix, Amazon or any other app you enjoy watching.

OUTSIDE SPACE
This mountainside ski chalet offers up some pretty spectacular views of the local landscape. And there are two decks—one on each floor— that really give you the opportunity to take in those views of the mountains. You can get a BBQ going on either floor so you can eat while enjoying the amazing vista.

Check-in and Check-out is flexible depending on availability and house keeping.

Guests will have full access to the Chalet. You have a full kitchen with all kitchen amenities including a Keurig coffee machine, hot water kettle, dishwasher. Guest have five bedrooms. We have a dens with living rooms (movie room setup) and the dining area seats 10 at the table. The dining is made for up to 10 people with a moose chandelier hovering right over the table…the coolest dining space ever :) We have the strongest wifi in the area, so you can stream, download and even game live with 70MBPS download and 7up. We also have a 65 inch smart TV in our entertainment room for watching Netflix, Amazon or any other app you enjoy.

We're super excited to share that we are a a smart home! Keyless entry for extra easy check-in and check-out and a nest thermostat for eco-friendly temperature control. Additionally to ensure the security of the property and our guests, we have installed two exterior cameras (a doorbell camera and a patio camera on the ground level), please make sure all guests are registered in advance in your booking. Both cameras record video and audio when motion is detected outside the door, neither camera shows the interior of the property.


Other things to note
It's important to be know that this unit does not come with free pool or amenity passes . To use the resort amenities (pool/gym/basketball/etc) you will have to contact Minerals as changes have been made to comply with COVID-19 laws. We are located in the same resort as Minerals which is walking distance to the entrance of the activities. We are not responsible for any changes they make.

The house was so comfortable and had everything we needed to catch up over our girl's weekend. The porches and the living room were both excellent gathering spaces and we loved being so close to the spa. You can't beat the location and the house was lovely! This house is so cozy, 10 friends an i stayed the weekend an there was plenty of room for all of us. Its conveniently located near crystal springs so we did day passes an went to the spa and used the pool, it was very family friendly. Sitting on the deck with a drink at night was wonderfully and we all really enjoyed the house. Definitely recommend

Nice location for families

We went to Mountain Creek Waterpark with three families…5 adults and 4 kids ages 4-6. We found this place last minute and decided to make it an overnight. Glad we did the house was perfect, table large enough for all of us to enjoy pizza and dessert before putting on a movie for the kids downstairs while the adults enjoyed hanging out on the deck. We enjoyed the wildlife and scenery. Downside is that Crystal Springs no longer allows day passes unless you book a spa treatment so we couldn’t use their facilities. Mountain Creek is about 7 mins away and we enjoyed our time there.

Had a wonderful stay. Great home. Beautiful location!!!! Only drawback is the floorboards are so loud if anyone is up early, the whole home is aware. Could benefit from some carpeting? Nice mountain get-away for family and friends

We scheduled our stay at this NJ ski chalet off-season to celebrate a special family occasion in nearby Sussex. It was perfect for our party of 10 family members including four children. The bathroom sinks were a little high for the children to reach but there was a small step ladder that helped our kiddos brush their teeth. Everyone was able to have a private sleeping area along with a nice kitchen/living space to be together. Our only regret is that we did not have time to explore and utilize the resort property and amenities because of our family activities in Sussex. All of us in this party would recommend this property.

Beds were comfortable. Couch umcomfortable. Cannot use Minerals hotel pool unless you book a spa treatment. Pics for this property suggest you can use the pool. Landlord takes about two weeks to respond to messages. My sister rented the other Chic2 house amd had the same problem.

Communication was difficult. Always seems to get canned responses. Went through a lot of work to send copies of all occupants ids and no one ever asked for them. There was no key rig as stated that they had replaced and no toaster as stated. Also a fairly large ant problem inside.

Our 6 member family arrived at the rental location after a long day skiing. We were unable to enter the unit due to an incorrect door code given to us. It took almost an hour to get the correct code. The whole family was in desperate need of the bathroom facilities. Upon entering we found that the downstairs toilet was unusable due to a stopped toilet. With 6 family members and one working toilet this was disappointing. The rental outside of these issues was fine. therefore the Three star rating.

Awesome House, Amazing Property

I stayed at the house with 9 of my friends for a weekend at Mountain Creek. The house, from the outside is deceiving on size, but it is big and so good. Five good size bedrooms, each with closet space and air conditioners. Two full bathrooms with the rain type shower heads. Full kitchen and living room with a huge HD TV on the wall and seating for 6 at the kitchen table. There are plenty of plates, bowls, cups and silverware for your stay and there is a dishwasher if you need it. Everything in the kitchen is updated, including smoke detectors (we found those out). There is a nice balcony/deck to hang out on. The place is a good place and I real nice place to stay at. It is secluded, no noise and it's quiet. The parking lot can easily fit 5 cars, so no worries there. Charlie's communication was great. He was on top of everything and super accommodating to me and my friends. I recommend this place without hesitation and I will be using it again!

Excellent vrbo for families

This vrbo was incredible!! Cleaned to perfection, with crisp clean white towels on each of our beds. Worked out great for our family for Thanksgiving including the twin bedroom for the teenagers with their own big screen tv!!!It was a little cold for the deck but I can imagine sitting out there at sunset with the mountains in the background on the comfy sectional couch with a glass of wine in my hand. Kites Restaurant in the complex was open to the public and a nice little night out with the family. They have a bar and tables for dinner. They even had a Santa for pictures with the little ones (and even me LOL) and a booth to stuff your own Christmas animal. Acme supermarket is only about 8 minutes away for a big grocery shop and there is a liquor store right next door to Acme. There are also a few restaurants nearby. Perfect for families and weekend golf outings. The host was friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. Hope to see you again Charlie!!

What makes our property unique is that it is one of the few true chalet style homes in the area and it sits right on a mountaintop. While we are located within a resort community, our home is one of only a small handful of private residences, so it feels much more secluded and personal than a typical resort stay.

You get the best of both worlds here. The peaceful, elevated setting and mountain views create a true getaway feeling, while still having options to the amenities and conveniences nearby. The chalet design adds to that cozy, retreat-like atmosphere and makes the home feel special the moment you walk in.
