Great location!

Casita G was perfect for a long weekend. It had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch in and was an easy walk to historic old town and canyon road. Communication from Mary Ann was great. We would stay here again.

Cozy stay at super convenient location!

We cannot say enough great things about staying at the casita! We were so comfortable, and the location allowed us to never need to use our car for anything because downtown and the railyard are both walking distance. Our dog was happy and comfortable, and this is in a super walkable area for pets. Hosts were friendly and available if we needed anything. Everything was super clean and comfortable. Will absolutely stay here again!

cute place great location

We had a great time, but the furniture is very uncomfortable and the tile stairs are really a lot, the description is accurate so are fault for choosing this place. I think it's perfect for younger people.

Wonderful.

Wonderful property. Walking distance to the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum and many restaurants. Be aware that property has numerous stairs. Go down stairs after enteting property, up stairs for bathroom and bedroom. Property is light due to skylights, but really has only one window.

Little cubby hole in heart of the city

Tiny but had everything we needed. Clean, nicely decorated, fun art/antiques. Occupants must take the stairs everytime they switch rooms, so not the place for bad knees. Upstairs sleeping quarters got a little warm and stuffy, but there were two fans and with some open windows, cooled down. Wouldn’t want to have to cook a big meal in the kitchen, but was fine for beverages and simple breakfast.

Coronavirus getaway

We booked our reservation prior to the coronavirus pandemic. Fortunately, not everything was shut down yet in Santa Fe, but pleasantly there were no crowds. This was a nice little casita for my husband & I. It was so close to everything. We walked everywhere in town & enjoyed the plaza. Unfortunately, the museums weren’t open. The food was excellent & great shopping close to the casita. We spent 1 day at Bandelier National Monument about an hour away (worth the drive). As mentioned in the property description, the place is 3 levels, so not good for those with knee or balance issues. It can sleep 3, but I would not recommend that due to the small size & privacy issues. The place was nicely stocked & there was plenty of toilet paper (which was very important at the time we stayed there). Mary Ann was great to deal with & readily available.

About the host

Hi! My name is Mary Ann and I'm the property manager for Casas de Guadalupe. I began working in the hospitality industry after graduating with a Finance degree from UNM. After 20 years in the industry, my brother in law, Doug and two of his friends had purchased these properties. Doug was living on site and asked me to come and take a look at them. When I came out to Santa Fe to take a look at these casitas, I fell in love with them. 10 darling vacation rentals, all within the same complex, just off the plaza...what sales person could resist!! Come and experience the friendly people, the fantastic restaurants, museums and shops, and best of all the outdoor activities in and around Santa Fe!

Why they chose this property

Casita G is a loft style casita. Comfy and cozy it has three level. Lots of stairs, lots of places to hide away! The kitchen is small, but has everything needed to prepare a meal, (or warm up your delicious left overs from your favorite restaurant on the plaza!) The kitchen and den spill into one another making it easy to visit with your guests. Enjoy the kiva fireplace located in the corner in front of a large window. The outdoor patio is enclosed with a coyote fence, perfect for an early morning cup of coffee, or a glass of wine in the evenings.

Parking is easy and steps away from the front door. Walk to the plaza and enjoy all our shops, restaurants, museums and much, much more!

What makes this property unique

This property is located just off of Guadalupe which is one of the main streets that borders the Plaza. Once you cross Guadalupe, you will see lots of shops, restaurants and museums. Park is a very quiet street just off the beaten path. You can enjoy a day at the plaza, walk back to the casita and enjoy a quiet night on the patio. Or take a little walk to any of the nearby restaurants in the area. If you don’t feel like eating out, there are several grocery stores in the area. The kitchen is fully equipped making it easy to whip up a delicious meal of your very own!
