We very much enjoyed our relaxing stay on Sebec Lake. It was what we were looking for and likely a bit better than we were expecting as we knew we were headed to a rural part of Maine. I guess we were expecting a little rustic, and it really wasn’t. Super fancy? No. But well-maintained and it had the features we needed. We appreciated that the host provided drinking water. That was a nice touch. The bedrooms and shower were a bit small but served there purposes well. Everything was clean and worked for us. The main living spaces of the cabin were very comfortable, quite spacious, functional, updated, and aesthetically appealing. If you’re looking for a relaxing place to be, or if the rural outdoors is what you’re seeking, this would be an ideal vacation spot. And the screened porch was the star of the show for us. We spent many hours there, reading, and enjoying the sounds and views of Seymour Cove on Sebec Lake. In fact, the two of us ate all our meals on the porch and commented how we loved the ambiance of our dining experience!
We are very familiar with Sebec Lake and chose this lovely camp for a few days to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The peaceful lake, beautiful sunsets, perfect accommodations, friendly phoebes, bullfrogs singing in the evening, and the ever-present pair of loons that frequented the cove, all enjoyed from the wonderful screened porch made this a getaway to remember!!
We had a fantastic 4 days at the cabin on Sebec Lake! The cabin itself was adorable, and stocked with everything you need. The small touches throughout, were appreciated. We spent mornings, and evenings on the screen porch listening to the loons, and water lapping at the dock. We brought our own boat, and tied it up at the dock, so every day we were out on the lake, just beautiful. We also tried paddle boarding using the hosts paddle boards. Lots of fun! The roads around the cottage were great for taking early morning walks, and one day we hiked nearby Borestone Mountain, which was a challenge, but had great views! Thank you for sharing this amazing spot!
