Great stay

Nice apartment, in a quiet area. It’s just a short walk to Fatima tram station. There are grocery stores and a few good restaurants very close.

Had a great stay!

The apt was perfect for the five of us - my wife and three young adult sons. The location was excellent for using Dublin as your base. The extras such as the food baskets, stocked fridge, and printed activities info exceeded expectations. Cathy and Victor do a great job.

Dublin City Center Access.

Excellent location. Great living space. Convenient to everything you’ll want to do in Dublin. Transportation options abound., with taxis and buses everywhere you look. The extra effort of the host puts this over the top. The Irish breakfast and basket of essential groceries were a great welcome to us. There is a convenience store across the street and a grocery store down the block. It couldn’t be more convenient. To criticize here is to nitpick, such as, the bathrooms could use a few hooks to hang up stuff. The hot water system takes a bit of study to figure out. Minor suggestions. This place was perfect for our weekend in Dublin. We can’t wait to come back.

Nice apartment, not great location

Nice spacious apartment and well equipped. Management was very responsive. We did have a problem with the tv cable service which management is addressing. The apartment is about a 25 minute walk to the Temple Bar area where the restaurants and bars are. There is a bus stop outside the apartment but we had no information on how to use it. For check-in, we were met by an individual who did not know anything about the apartment. It would have been nice to have been given a complete walk though of the apartment, as some information in the welcome folder was not correct. It was nice that due to some miscommunication the owner provided us with a gift certificate for lunch.

Not what we expected

This property had a very kind and accommodating property manager who provided us with some items lacking in the kitchen but many things that were problematic in the apartment were beyond his control. This apartment is in a depressing, tired building with minimal outside maintenance. The neighborhood is very sparse with a strange coffee shop downstairs. It does have a Lidl grocery store that is very close but nothing much else. It is a 25 minute walk to downtown, down a busy and boring street with very few shops. The water heater in the apartment is old and barely functioned, even after 2 visits from the plumber who explained that the only real solution was a replacement. A brief warm shower is possible but a hot bath or using hot water in the kitchen is not. The apartment is very cluttered with useless stuff in the kitchen which makes this very small space extremely difficult to use. I had to stow these items above the cabinets to make space. The closet in the bedroom and hall were stuffed with so many extra linens, duvets, and cleaning stuff that there was no space for our things. The apartment faces Cork Street, which is busy and noisy day and night, so you will never use the balcony, except for drying clothes and will avoid opening the door. My bed did not have a mattress cover, just a sheet, which grossed me out. We are retired and have lived in similar rental properties for the past 5 years. This was a disappointing and substandard property for the price.

Home away from home

Lovely apartment and perfect check in. Nicely stocked with both food and toiletry essentials. The location was a touch farther off the main area than I thought it was based on the description. We took a lot of taxi rides.

Great place to unwind after a long day in Dublin.

My husband and I and our friends were very pleased to stay at this property. I am a vacation owner in Florida, so I know how important it is to make guests happy. Upon our arrival we were met by a very friendly agent who showed us all about the condo. There was an enormous basket of cookies, crackers, and all sorts of food. There was also a wonderful supply of sausages, eggs, bacon cheese, and breads including jam for breakfast and snacks. The accommodations themselves were very good. The rooms were large enough and full of light. There were extra touches like fans and plenty of linens for our use. We loved being able to relax in the evenings and plan out our next day's adventures. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean quiet cozy and well stocked.

This is a bit out of the city but easy to get a bus or taxi. It is also walkable to all main sites. Great to have food and a washer and drier. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable apartment. Good location. Friendly and helpful staff.

2 bedroom and 2 bathroom with a separated living area for the early riser not to disturb everyone. This was a great apartment and location, especially for the price. Close to stores made shopping for groceries super easy.

Exceptional! Lovely, comfortable flat. An excellent welcome!

We were enthusiastically greeted by the kind owner who had done a first shopping of essentials for us. So kind! The flat was quite centrally located for everything in Dublin. Easy access to transport and shopping. A roomy and comfortable home base for our travels! I must also mention the ease of booking, clarity of agreements and helpful flat instructions. The entire process was a breeze. Thanks so much!

Very cozy & clean

The apartment was located very close to buses that took you to downtown Dublin in minutes. A lovely welcome basket with fruit, bread, eggs, sausages & more were provided so that we didn't have to rush out to get groceries right away. Would definitely stay here again.

Great apartment-Great location!

This is the second time we have rented from this owner, and we have been very happy with both properties. This apartment in Dublin is in a great location for seeing the sites. We took a short cab ride to the City Center, and cabs were easy to find right outside the apartment complex. Bus service is also available right outside the complex. This apartment is spacious with 2 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We liked the sitting room with its large window overlooking a small park. The apartment is inside a secured complex, so we felt very safe during our stay. Both Lidl and Centra have stores right outside the complex which were very convenient for our needs. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very nice young man who showed us around the property and provided us with keys and information about the apartment. The owner provides everything you will need; truly a home away from home. A large basket of groceries including fruit, bread, milk and butter were in the apartment upon our arrival; a very nice touch after our long flight. This is a great home base for touring the city of Dublin.

We enjoyed the property very much.

Overall everything went as planned and expected. The apartment was neat and clean, well maintained and conveniently located. Our only issue was after returning late from our 12 hour tours and evening music shows, there was no hot water for a shower. There was always hot water in the mornings but forget taking a shower if you have been away all day and return after 11 pm. The local grocery store is handy and we appreciated the food that was purchased for our use. The basket and fruit tray were a helpful addition and a much enjoyed plus. We recommend you visit the new Cafe du Jour Cork St, exactly below the apartment on street level. Say hello to Jamal, Zak and Ali for us, the coffee, mocha and bakery items are tasty! And I really enjoyed the Chicken Curry and rice dish they served for lunch. If I return to Dublin, I would want to stay at Cork Street Apsrtments once again.

Absolute Perfection

My friends and I stayed here while in Dublin for St. Patrick's Day last week(2016). Liz was extremely nice and friendly. Never ran out of things to do. If you needed to take a break the apartment was fantastic to recuperate for your next adventure. I will for sure go back to Dublin and hopefully this place will be available. You can see St. Patrick's Cathedral from the balcony! A beautiful apartment for a beautiful city.

Perfect spot!

It's hard to communicate what a wonderful stay we had the Cork St apartment. We were visiting Dublin find a place to live for our daughter who is starting her studies at Trinity College Dublin. As stressful as the room and house hunt was, it was so wonderful to come back to our apartment to unwind, eat and rest. From the start Liz was so helpful to get us started in all of her recommendations of places to check out and things to do. We knew we had someone we could call at anytime if we had any trouble during our stay in Dublin. It was clean and spacious plus close to groceries and public transportation. Although we did rent a car for some out of the city sightseeing it really wasn't necessary for getting around in Dublin. It was also nice to know the car was safe in underground parking. I would not hesitate to stay here again nor would I hesitate to give my full recommendation.

Why they chose this property

Dublin is a Wonderful Town to visit - and Cork Street is the clever option.
Minutes away from the bustling international city intersected by the long River Liffey and sweeping bay from Howth (old fishing village) on the north side to Dun Laoghaire Pier on the south stretch. We're just minutes by simple bus-ride to Downtown, with Temple Bar, Dame Street / Wicklow Street / George's Street the natural go-to places for catching the mood - theatres, cafes, curio shops & restaurants all busy with action and a buzzing atmosphere amongst local workers on a dash to meet up and international visitors discovering their favorite places. With a wonderful and unique array of traditional Irish pubs to hide out in where a hot fire, fresh Guinness, live music and a chat can revive the spirits. Cork Street is the clever option!
