Romantic Copper ROOM at historic 123 S Washington


A small unique urban “loft bedroom” that is close to Wild Mountain; Trollhaugen; Festival Theater; the Ice Age Trailhead; Interstate Park in WI and MN; the Gandy Dancer Trail; the Woolly Mountain Bike Trail; Cyclova Bike Shop; the St Croix River; Osceola; cafe, bars, and small grocery store within walking distance.. You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings, the uniqueness, the location, & the private cafe table outside.

The space:
This is a small studio bedroom w kitchenette, a private bathroom with toilet, vanity, and stand-up shower. The thermostat controls for the heat are in the bathroom. AC unit for the main room. There is a small kitchenette, dresser, hangers, TV, Wi-Fi, and access to a stone patio. Right off of main street in downtown St Croix Falls.

Guest access:
You will be given an electronic keycode and instructions to use this lock system the morning of check-in. You will use this keycode to lock and unlock the main door to the apartment. You may check-in without meeting us (which is why we are flexible on check-in time) but if you need anything, we are close by and can help you with anything.

Other things to note:
There are three apartments we rent out at 123 s Washington so if you are traveling with others and want to stay together, please also check out the listings for The Artist's Loft and The Peacock Loft. There are three patios that anyone can sit on and enjoy. Although we are off of Main Street, road noise is usually limited in the Copper Room but feel free to bring a fan or earplugs if very sensitive to noise - we want you to have a great sleep! This is a unique room and has exposed copper pipes (which is why it is decorated in a copper theme!) - please note that there may be small water-trickling sounds coming up the pipes (the room has 12 foot ceilings though so they are high-up) above. Do not be alarmed - this is normal. We just want you to be aware before booking so this doesn't upset you. Also, this apartment only has a small partial kitchen: Fridge, hot plate, air fryer microwave, sink, and cupboards. Plenty of room to store fresh/dry food for a weekened/week though.

Guest access:
Parking on the street is plentiful. Room is located down one flight of stairs.

One dog is welcome. 1 pet max under 20 pounds $75 per stay. Must not be left alone in the room

I commented to my travel partner more than once that this was such a charming place! The decor allows one to feel as if they are in a romantic, European apartment! The owner of this Vrbo did an excellent job of providing outdoor spaces for the guests!

Small but adorable!!

Had a great time! Highly recommend this cute little studio. The garden sitting are was great for coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening. Rhonda was great!

So perfect!

What a great location and this vacation rental had everything for a cozy weekend in Taylors Falls. We loved the little rolls waiting for us, the kitchenette had everything you need and more. The creativity gave this place a unique vibe. Recommend to anyone!

We were thrilled to find Rhonda's VRBO so close to the Sunflower Hill Wedding Venue for our best friend's wedding! Our stay was amazing. Pictures cannot fully capture how warm, cozy, and inviting the space was - especially with Fall only weeks away. Every room is beautifully curated, and there are wonderful details in every corner. Rhonda was very communicative - and even sent us a list of local recommendations and events that were taking place over the weekend! Could not have asked for better!

Beautiful and restorative

The Copper Room is quite small, but efficient and comfortable. Rhonda is a considerate and conscientious host. The location was perfect to enjoy St Croix Falls and Taylor's Falls.

I rented the Copper Room for a 3 night stay. What a magical experience. The hostess was very attentive, she even met me at curb to assist in checking into the room! The room was so peaceful and quiet. The patio was an amazing place to relax. I will definitely be back!

Copper fun

We had a great time in St Croix Falls. Our stay here was enjoyable. The room was keenly decorated. The bed was comfortable, which was a nice surprise. The one improvement would be in the bathroom. More shelves and hooks would be helpful. There was no place to put your toiletry bag when getting ready to go or ready for bed. The shower head was too powerful for the small shower, it almost blew me right out of the stall. Over all I recommed this for a short getaway.

Rhonda (Property owner) was not only helpful, but extremely accommodating. We were late arriving and she was there waiting. The room (more like a suite) was unique, and my wife fell in love with it. Rhonda is very talented and has an eye for what works and what doesn't.
