The layout of the house was perfect for our group. All the bunk beds, the two dining room tables, and the huge deck were super great. Cathy and Matt were quick to respond and guilty took near of our needs.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. We had 11 adults and 2 teens and one child. There were lots of beds so we weren't crowded, and so many bathrooms, no one had to wait for a bathroom or to take showers...very convenient. Two kitchens (but one stove) and lots of dining space made this the perfect place for our family vacation. And it's just a few minutes drive to the lake!
The house is located in a nook by itself which was very peaceful and nice. There was plenty of space for our party and the house could easy sleep 20+, and with two kitchen areas and three tables that seat 12 people you wouldn't run out of room. We enjoyed the fire pit outside nightly and sitting on the back patio was a great place to relax and hang out with a small view of the water. Check in was very simple and the check out list is very short. We did have a few small children in our group and the house was kid friendly! If we travel to the area again I would definitely look into renting this property again!
Pros-This is an amazing place for large groups. Lots of room to spread out in. Plenty of bathrooms and beds. Loved the out door space and the water near by.
Cons-the sofa pull out beds were not clean enough to sleep on.
Not a variety of cooking pans. Couldn’t make cookies because there were no cookie sheets.

Accommodates Large Groups but Dirty
Positive: House is large and easily accommodates large groups. Property is secluded and quiet.
Negative: - House was dirty with coffee and grinds left in both coffee pots. Floors and furniture were somewhat dusty. The exterior of the property needs to be power washed.
- There was someone staying in the attached apartment. This in itself was not a problem as they were friendly. The problem was that we were not told this ahead of time and only found out once I heard another car in the driveway.
- The dryer was full of lint which was causing long drying times until we cleaned it out. Both the internal filter and the exhaust.
- The outdoor kitchen is in poor condition and not usable.

Thank you for your comments, please note that the apartment attached to the property is now vacant at all times but can be added by guests at an additional costs.
The whole process of renting this space, finding it, checking in, and enjoying our stay was smooth and easy. The cabin was perfect for what we needed, and the area is gorgeous!
We had a great multi-generation reunion. Plenty of space and bathrooms for all!
This place has the basics covered and has an incredible back deck. The only negative for folks with little ones or if yoy have had any foot/knee/hip surgeries the stairs to the second floor have 9.5"tall wooden treads

WE had to clean the lower freezer compartment before we could put anything in it. Dirty
The beds we used some didn't have top sheets or pillow cases. lower part of the freezer was very dirty, we had to clean before we could use it.
We enjoyed the location. We enjoy having lost of room.
It was very nice! Plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms. Very nicely decorated. Well-stocked kitchen, etc. The only negative -: ants got into our Panera bagels & deli donuts so we lost quite a few of those. Had we known in advance we could have ziplocked those items to have prevented that loss. Thankfully we wiped counters down with some Young Living Thieves essential oil which seemed to curb the ant population.
We loved the place! When we arrived, the porch was decorated for fall. We loved that there were 3 large tables to accommodate meals for our large group. Even though we did not utilize the patio, was as a nice area. Each bedroom had a ton of space for us. My only suggestion would be to add another couch in the living space. Our girls sat on the floor, which is not a big deal, and there was plenty of room, but if you added another couch that would be awesome. The house well stocked, and if your forgot to bring something, I was able to find it. I would highly recommend this location to other groups.
Dad and Mom, two adult kids with their spouses, and four toddlers. Lots of room for everyone. Had to block off stairs for one of our new walkers as the stairs could be pretty treacherous for littles.
We didn’t realize we were going to be out of town to that extent, but it was not a problem at all - just a little surprised.
We had a very nice time.
This house has nice updates, was very clean and had many comfortable beds, and several bathrooms which was a plus. There are are two local, small beaches for swimming and fishing (Barren River Park and the dam near the peninsula- very pretty and shallow area for young ones) but you’ll have to drive 15 to 20 minutes. Be sure to bring your own beach chairs and umbrellas if you’d like shade because there are no rental places. But there are public bathrooms.
We took our small youth group from Indiana here for a summer getaway. Staying Thursday thru Sat morning. The house fit us well and made it easy to divide the boys and girls with plenty of room. We loved the dining room seating area.
The only suggestions we had was that the outdoor kitchen was rather ran-down with leaves and debris, we couldn’t get the burners lit and everything needed a good cleaning in that area. The grill worked and we were able to grill our pizzas our second night.
Inside, for a house that can sleep 27 and has 2 kitchens, we were surprised to only have one oven... it took a bit longer to cook our first dinner due to only having the one.
Overall, the trip was a great success and we spent our full day on the lake renting a boat with a bonfire that night.
Brenda, the property manager, has been very helpful during the entire process to ensure we understood everything we needed to about the property. Secluded location at end of lane. We wanted to go on run in area but there were no good roads nearby we could find to run. This was the first time to this area and we didn’t realize the roads have no shoulders to run or walk on out of traffic.
There were 17 of us getting together for a fun family weekend. We rented boats through the Barren River Lake Marina which is about a 25 minute drive. There was plenty of space for sleeping, eating and gathering. We cooked out on the grill and roasted marshmallows on a the campfire. A good time was had by all.
Big, secluded house with plenty of room for family
We enjoyed our stay! Brenda was very responsive. The space was huge! So many beds and bathrooms to accommodate everyone. The nice big dining room tables were perfect for us. The kitchen is still being worked on it seems, but we were able to find everything we needed and cooked some big meals. Thank you!
The house was great and super clean! The reason for our visit wasn’t great but the comfortable environment of the house made things a little more pleasant. The house would be a perfect place to stay with a group during the summer when the lake level is up. If there was ever a reason to need to be in the area again, this house would definitely be at the top of my list!
