This updated mountain gem has endless views for a relaxing getaway for the whole family. This spacious home has plenty of charm with its vaulted ceilings and wooden floors. The large deck boasts spectacular views and comfortable outdoor furnishings for daytime or nighttime relaxation and reminiscing. Prepare a meal, simple or gourmet, in the fully equipped kitchen and bring it out to the dining space out on the deck in the mountain air. As the sun dips below the hills, immerse yourself in the bubbling hot tub while admiring the view below. After a day of shopping or hiking, gather around the fire table and sink into the cozy couch with your beverage of choice.

The Village in Idyllwild is a great place to spend the day, with numerous shops, restaurants, and nightlife, just under two miles away. Just over four miles away is Humber Park. With its many nature trails, you can hike all day while taking in nature and observing breathtaking views. Head to Idyllwild Nature Center, just under three miles away, for more hiking trails or picnicking and learn about the Cahuilla Native Culture!

THINGS TO KNOW
Riverside County regulations prohibit any "party" lighting (outdoor luminaires shall not blink, flash, or rotate) and will hold guests/Vacasa liable for any "light trespass" on surrounding properties.
Please note the 3rd bedroom is a detached ensuite located on the first floor of the home. There is no direct access from inside the main home.
The toddler bed and kitchenette are no longer in the home

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Beautifil hidden gem

Beautiful home with amazing balcony overlooking the serene mountains. Perfect for families and couples. I would love to come back. The outdoor jacuzzi and firepit were amazing!! I highly recommend this Beautiful home.

Cozy getaway with a view unlike any other

This cabin getaway was exactly what my family needed. It was tucked away right on the southern Idyllwild, and the view couldn’t have been more stunning. I would love to stay here again.

Mountain escape

Perfect location (very private). We enjoyed the quiet and cozy atmosphere. The hot tub was warm spoon arrival. Such a perfect spot to relax.

Jaw dropping view!

The place has been nicely updated with an open feel and beautiful views from main living area. Large deck with stunning views and nice hot tub to enjoy. 3rd bedroom is detached under main level is large and has been beautifully remodeled. Great location. Small issue was very low quality and quantity of kitchen items.

Beautiful views!

This Idyllwild house was a perfect getaway with friends. The location was so relaxing and quiet. The wrap around deck had ample seating, a nice fire pit lounge area, and below ground hot tub. The hot tub was awesome but the temp didn’t get too hot. The entire house was clean, cozy, and the kitchen was stocked with the right tools and appliances. Luckily we went on a weekend when the weather was getting cooler (around 73-77) so we didn’t rely on the AC that much. But if it was in the 90s+, the AC might not be enough. We didn’t see any vents in the bedrooms. They had fans available. Overall great spot. We definitely want to go back.

The house, bedrooms and kitchen were all great size for 4 people. It was clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen was minimally stocked but we managed. Should've bought another cutting board but at least we brought a kettle for our tea. Nice to sit on deck with a cup in the early morning. Quite a few wasps tho.

Beautiful views

This cozy stay is quiet with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee as you watch the clouds below you… yes because you are above the clouds… is amazing. Deer also visit the area. There is one bedroom below the main floor with a gorgeous bathroom however one must know that if you stay in this bedroom you are separated from the main part of the house and must go outside up the stairs to be with the rest of your group. If you want privacy, it’s perfect.

Comfortable Home with Amazing Views!!!

My spouse and I went up to Idyllwild (from LA) for the some peace and quiet and this home was perfect!! For 4 days, we sat on the deck and watched the hummingbirds, hawks, and the occasional coyote! The house was clean and well appointed. My only suggestion would be to have 2 umbrellas on the deck for the summer sun. There were only 2 of us so we were able to be in the shade, but if more than 2 people were on the deck someone would have to be in the sun. It was just so, so peaceful.

Cozy place with a gorgeous view

Enjoyed the view from the deck's hot tub and comfy deck furniture/fire pit, and enjoyed the view from inside the cozy family room. Kitchen had the basics for cooking basics. The pix do it justice if slightly biased towards it looking bigger than it is. The upstairs and the lower stairs have separate entrances. Vacasa manages this place, and they were very helpful as we faced a coming large snowstorm. If we were to come back some day, we would look up this property again.

Beautiful View

Beautiful view and the hot tub is nice. Definitely needs a little attention. The AC didn’t blow cold at all and of course it was 90 degree while we were there. Also, the place needs to be sprayed for ants. There’s ants everywhere inside the house. Other than that it’s a pretty great property. I would definitely consider going again if they fix the AC.

Amazing is an understatement!

Thank you so much for having us! Just as everyone has mentioned this place was amazing! The view was spectacular! Checking in was super easy! Only interacted with staff because I didn't read my email/messages clearly and asked for the code to the bottom section when it had already provided. 😅 Otherwise the home was clean, stocked accordingly, we weren't missing anything. I will say if you stay at the bottom you will hear all the footsteps coming from upstairs. I wish the master room was connected to the rest of the upstairs someway but its manageable. Will definitely keep this on my list for any future reference and highly recommend staying here!

Great location. Clean and well decorated. Couple suggestions that would make it a little less obviously a rental-only property: towel racks for bathrooms, toilet paper roll holder, clothes hangers in closets, more utensils. Simple and cheap additions. Also tip for those staying in master bedroom on ground floor: if anticipate cold in the pm, make sure the heater is active and on in the unit above. That might mean opening some of the windows in the unit above to cool it off and activate the heater in the early evening.

Perfect getaway

This might be a lengthy review. The home was just as pictured. On a mountain said with no homes to the back of the house as far as the eye can see. The neighborhood was very quiet and the house was a little tricky to get to at night. We arrived a little later in the evening when it was dark out already and had trouble finding the place. The deck with jacuzzi and comfy seating and fireplace are why I chose this home. It was perfect. You can't ask for a better view and more peace and quiet. Truly a perfect getaway. I love the fact that the master bed and bath are separate from the rest of the house. Did not love the fact that there's an unlocked door to the underside of the house, especially if you've seen the movie Barbarian, but we survived without anyone or anything coming through that door in the middle of the night. The hot tub was already hot by the time we arrived, I appreciate that. The kitchen has a huge countertop, great for all of the food that we brought. The only complaint I have is that the shower would not get hot in the morning. I waited and waited and it got warmer than ice cold but not suitable for an enjoyable shower. Other than the creepy space beneath the house and the cold shower in the morning the house and stay was flawless. I've already talked to my friend about it and we will start planning another stay here soon!

Renters Beware - Don't book this property

The photos of the unit were beautiful, but when we arrived it wasn't as pictured. There were holes and stains on the couch cushion outside. Most of the chairs outside had bird poop on them. The key for the downstairs unit was located in a lockbox that was unlocked (very unsafe). The fencing surrounding the deck was broken and most importantly the AC didn't work the entire time we were there. I was willing to overlook most of these things (we were on vacation and wanted to unwind, not get stressed out), we could not overlook the AC. It was over 80 degrees each day we were there and there was only 1 small tower fan inside. We reached out to the local manager Bob and he came out the next day to look at the unit and thought changing a filter would resolve the issue. When it didn't and we let him know...he basically was like well we can't send someone out to look at it until after you leave. At that point I asked for a credit of 20% off the stay, which I thought was more than fair. But they said they could only do $150 per day ($50 per night). Seeing as I spent over $1400 on the reservation, that was totally unacceptable to me. I reached out to Bob and the CS team multiple times over the past week to see if I could speak to the supervisor to see if they would be able to reconsider, and they refused. Stay far away from Vacasa!
