About this property
Family Friendly sleeps 14 comfortably
Castlemagner II is the perfect vacation getaway for a larger family or group to relax and enjoy the Northwoods. With a spacious updated kitchen, 7 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, library, and front porch this home accommodates 14 people. This Executive Lake Home is situated on a prime Location on the Three Lakes Chain of Lakes. You'll enjoy boating, kayaking, swimming over a sandy bottom or just relaxing on the pier. Plus, have the convenience of an on-site EV charging system.
Castlemagner II is a great gathering place, as our father used to say; “to enjoy each other’s company.” For this reason, he called our special place Castlemagner II after a castle in Ireland that belonged to our Magner ancestors many centuries ago. When I bring my friends up to visit, they all think our living room is right out of the 1981 movie On Golden Pond. And yes, this has been the setting where multi-generations gather and grow together. The original structure was built in 1920, and has been doubled in size and been modernized several times. Comfort has not been sacrificed for style. With a spacious updated kitchen, 7 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, everyone is your group of 14 will be comfortable
There is a large family dining room which seats 12. This has been the site of many delicious meals followed by interesting family discussions. There is room for every perspective at the table. If your group is larger, we also have a table on the front porch that can seat 4 more. The front porch is also a peaceful place where we gather together before and after dinner to watch the sun set or read quietly. There is a library with a wall full of books to choose from.
Water activities are the main attraction in the summer, as we are part of the famous Three Lakes Chain of Lakes. Lots to explore by motorboat, kayak, or paddle board. We love checking out the eagles’ nest two bays over or heading to breakfast in the boat at Sunset Grill. Then we go the opposite direction in the boat to Pine Isle for lunch or dinner. After eating we play a little volleyball at Pine Isle. The area has much more to offer (golfing, hiking, biking, fishing, tennis or pickle ball). On rainy days we play bridge, spoons & charades. The “cottage” is located on two lots and has water on three sides. It is on the Three Lakes Chain of Lakes and there are two marinas reasonably close (Three Lakes Marina/Big Stone Lake and Watercraft Sales/Island Lake), so boat rental should not be a problem.
There are 2 swimming areas, one on the bay and one off the channel, so you can catch the morning sun or the afternoon sun. If swimming is not your thing, the 2 wooded lots offer lots of places to play. The kids build forts out of downed branches or “fairy forts” with pools next to the water. And then there is always fishing off the front pier in the early morning or around sunset. I can’t even begin to tell you what the stargazing is like!!!! That comes after the evening campfire and s’mores. Then it’s off to bed to dream about another day in the north woods.
Property Management of Castlemagner II is provided by Northern Lakes Vacation Homes LLC of Three Lakes WI. We look forward to hosting your Northwoods Summer Vacation

Very comfortable for our family. Our grandson and granddaughter had the BEST time in the water until the weather turned! Deer, ducks, and geese to enjoy every day! Plenty of space to spread out. Elliot the property manager was excellent and very knowledgeable!!!

Castlmanger ll is a large 7-bedroom home, fully furnished with all your vacation needs. 400 feet of lake frontage with two piers. Gas and charcoals grills, fire pit with wood on site. All you have to do is park the car and start you vacation.!
This house is meant for families. Plenty of bed rooms and lounging areas, large kitchen and table that seats around 12. This is the first place I've rented that had enough towel racks to cover bath and beach towels for the group - kind of a silly thing but it made our week so much easier. Lots of lake front, two docks and swimming areas with sandy beaches. The water was shallow past the end of the dock which gave the kids more room to play and explore. Rich, the property manager was friendly and easy to work with. 100% would book again.

Castlemagner ll is made for large groups of vacationers. Sleeps 14 comfortably. Fire pit, two piers, additional refrigerator for large groups. Three levels of comfort. Reading library, great room, enclosed front porch, and dinner seating for 12. 400 feet of lake frontage allows for room to explore. Great western exposure with lots of sun and sandy swimming area.
Castlemanger ll is an older home which accommodated our group of 10 very well. It has 3 "living rooms", 2 with TVs, giving everyone a little extra space on rainy days. All the amenities worked well (water, sewer, WiFi), the kitchen is well stocked and the property includes 3 docks for your use.
We are renting this house again next year.
The only thing we found as a down side is that Laurel Lake is a fairly busy lake, sort of a thoroughfare between the larger lakes. So lots of boat traffic on weekends.
Overall an excellant property, well managed by Mark and Rich.
We are a group of two families with kids that have vacationed together Up North for the last 18 years with most of those years being in Eagle River. My son's fiancee has a vacation home in Three Lakes and he convinced us to give Three Lakes a try. The home is on a very lovely, private piece of property and definitely would accommodate the 14 as listed. We cook all of our meals so a well appointed kitchen is a must for us. This was the best kitchen we have had in 18 years. No need to bring anything-if you need it, they will have it. The front porch is a fantastic place to start the day and there are two firepits with lots of wood. We always bring a bin of board games to play, but you don't need to because all of the classics are there. We even gathered on a rainy day and watched Mrs. Doubtfire on VHS. There is a wonderful library to choose a book for the week and the full bathrooms are a plus with a bigger group. There are 2 piers, but one was difficult to have a boat at. The other one worked well and it has permanent boat fenders which is nice. It is located on a channel and it is not a "slow no wake zone" so it was pretty busy and wavy over the 4th, but the rest of the week was better. It is the perfect combination of old Northwoods charm and modern amenities. Speaking of which, there is a very large office space downstairs that quite a fee people utilized because we had a few "kids" that were in a college summer class. And there is a bonus extra fridge in the basement which is nice to have for extra food and ice so we can keep grocery shopping to a minimum. It's nice to have a washer and dryer and we never really missed having A/C because it cools down at night and there are plenty of fans provided.
The cabin and the *location* are classic northwoods. Lake views from basically every window, towering pines, and the cabin is beautiful inside and out, and in excellent, clean condition. The communication and check-in and check-out were great. Would stay again! The property served our group of families perfectly!
Group of friends stayed for a week. Nice location on the chain of lakes. Property was clean, WI FI speed great, everything you needed included in the kitchen. No air conditioning but plenty of box fans to keep air flowing. We had multiple cars and boat trailers and could fit everything on the property. Would recommend to anyone who needs a nice place on the lake with many bedrooms. Listing is 7 but the "library" off the kitchen has a futon so it's really 8 bedrooms.
Castlemanger exceeded our high expectations. It was clean and comfortable. Check in was easy and Mark (property manager) was excellent. We had absolutely no issues and had a great stay.

Thank you! Castlemanger ll is one of our premier property on the Three Lakes Chain of Lakes. With two piers and 400 feet of lake frontage space is not an issue. The home has two levels, library, and a spacious sun porch. 6 bedrooms, large dining area, and fireplace add to an enjoyable stay. Sit outside around the fire pit, grilling and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Castlemanger ll has it all!!!
Our trip couldn’t have been better. The home is beautiful — the pictures don’t even do it justice! The kitchen was perfect for cooking dinners as a family. The dining table was large enough for us all to gather around. In cooler nights we even cuddled up on the couch in the stunning living room and enjoyed a fire in the fireplace. Mark was wonderful to work with and very responsive. The home is in a wonderful location and docking our boat for the week was very easy! We hope to be back and absolutely recommend this home!
