Our stay at the cabin was great! The location and the cabin description are accurate. The cabin was clean, well-maintained, and well-stocked with all your needs e.g., dishes, kitchenware, towels, flashlight, etc. The host was very communicative and friendly throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to others.
Even with the creek dry we had a lovely relaxing stay. Loved the porch with the view of woods, creek & up the hill. Beds are comfortable, WiFi is good & kitchen has everything you need. Looking forward to staying again after the drought. BBQ grill & fire pit w/wood on property. Would like to mention there is an Italian restaurant only on 20 minutes away with great pizza!
Nice house and very private. But we got flooded in the weekend we went, so it’s not ideal if you’re wanting to stay indoors. The TV was so high on wall it was not enjoyable to watch. Space was very limited and would suggest less than 4 people for this house.
Everything was nice and clean at the property. Our only complaint was the water hole is dried up. That was the main reason we chose the place. With no pool or hot tub, we felt it was a bit expensive. But the sounds of nature!! You can sit there and all you will hear is a gentle wind blow, birds, crickets, and all mother nature has to offer! Suck an amazing experience!
This is a terrific little cabin in a beautiful, quiet location. Everything was clean and well stocked. Owner was very nice and responded right away to a question we had. Would definitely stay here again!
We loved this house and property that it was on. Peaceful and just what we needed for a relaxing stay . We came in from Boston and could’ve have be more happy when we got to this house. The house is so well kept and left spotless for us upon arrival . Thank you Robin for being a great hostess and property owner !
This is the perfect spot to go relax. No one around to bother you. This is our third time to visit and we love it. Only wish we had more time. Definitely go to Reimers Ranch 5 mins away and go hiking down to the Pedernales River.
We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO rental! The property was immaculately clean, and the host was nearby and very helpful, even though we didn’t need much assistance. The location is peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. It’s conveniently located just down the street from Hamilton Pool and Reimer Ranch, making it easy to explore these beautiful spots.
Our kids had a blast building a fire and enjoying the great outdoors. The grotto in the front was a unique feature; although the water level was low during our visit, it was still a wonderful place to explore. Overall, we had a memorable and enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a serene and family-friendly retreat.
Beautiful cabin that was cozy and comfortable for three adults. Loved sitting by the grotto and on the porch listening to water trickling peacefully. Owner kindly invited us to use their pool and hot tub one day which was a fun treat! Appreciated her restaurant recs as well, especially Carmela’s, an Italian restaurant just 14 mins away. Highly recommend for a quiet and calm, almost-off-grid, retreat!
Beautiful property! Although a little ways off the beaten path, it was worth the little extra drive time. Owners were super with communication but allowed us our privacy as well. Only downfall was that the water feature on the property wasn’t flowing due to low rain fall. We thoroughly enjoyed the quietness of the area, outdoor shower, and covered porch where we enjoyed the birds and a cup of joe each morning. If we ever get a chance to slip away to TX again for a weekend getaway, we would come back!!
We had a short but amazing time here at the cabin. What an incredible piece of property with the perfect cabin for the stay. Felt like we had our own little corner of the world. It is close enough to stores and other places to explore but feels like you are miles from the world when you’re there. Robin was an incredible hostess! She’s kind, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Overall it exceeded our expectations and we will be returning for a longer stay! Beautiful cabin, beautiful property , the groto out the front door is amazing and the private shower is the perfect end to a perfect day!!! The pictures are true to the property but it’s actually even more beautiful than it looks…
Our stay at this property was for a much-needed vacation. The cabin is super clean, comfortable, and offered too many amenities to count.
My little girl ate breakfast every morning at the small table nestled next to the windows. She (and we) loved spotting birds of all kinds, deer, squirrels, and even a fox.
Swimming in the grotto was just a neat experience! The water was cool and the water trickling from the waterfall was the best sound… it was also nice to hear at night while relaxing on the oversized porch. The outside shower was also nice after a swim!
For more than a weekend stay, it was awesome to have a washer and dryer as well.
The property is tucked away enough to enjoy peace and nature, but not too far of a drive to see some hill country sights and find a good restaurant.
Thank you for having us! We hope to come back soon!

Ant infestation
The home was infested with ants. The entire time we were these (3 nights), there was a trail of ants on the kitchen counter coming from the outside wall. The last morning we were there, I I woke up, put on a tee shirt that I had next to the bed and suddenly felt bugs biting me all over. There were ants all over me and I rushed to the shower to wash them off while they were biting me. I got out of the shows, went back to the bedroom and there was a trail of ants coming from the outer bedroom wall, across the floor and onto the bed sheet and pillows. I had welts ALL OVER my body that still haven't totally healed. I texted the owner a video of the trail of ants from the outer bedroom wall onto the bed. She apologized, told me it had never happened before and refunded me $100. I felt I should have been refunded a lot more, but wasn't up for arguing about it.
HIDDEN GEM!!! We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is perfect and has a great warm and inviting feel. With so many options, you really have no choice but to relax, either on the porch, in the grotto, the seating area, hammock or by the fire. You are very secluded and unplugged, but there's still a lot to do within a 10 to 15 minute drive. We visited Hamilton pool preserve, swam in the collaped grotto and hiked to the river. On another day, we went to Reimer's park and hiked the Canyon trail (A MUST!), River trail and the Back door trail(also a must). The River trail has NO SHADE, I would do that one in the early or late part of the day. The sun is brutal from 11am-3pm. There's a cool food truck park not far and another gathering area with what looked like a few stores, a coffe spot and food trucks, we just didn't have time to go. Definitely check out the Texas Gadget Store on your way in or out. The host were amazing and very accommodating. We will definitely be back to this cabin.
Our family really enjoyed staying at this home! It was small but allowed us to be more intentional with our down time - snuggling in for the evening to watch a movie, watching hummingbirds fly in throughout the day while sitting on the porch, and enjoying the hammock! Appreciated several special touches in the home - coffee pot with coffee and filters in the home, condiments and seasonings to use for cooking, and plenty of towels for bathing or using for pool use etc. The home was lovely to stay in for our little family. Enjoyed the artwork throughout the house also! Would certainly come back again in the future and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway.

The best place to spend time with your family, the owner is very friendly and attentive to everything. I loved the entire place, everything was very clean and pleasant. 100% recommended.
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It is a very peaceful property. A great location outside of Austin. Owner was quick to communicate. But we were disappointed that the water hole was dry as that was one of the main reasons we booked this cabin. If you want to experience the water hole, be sure to check in with the owner to ensure there is water.
Located in a remote, quiet area, this cabin was a perfect getaway for our family. It was well stocked with all the essentials we needed, and very clean. The creek wasn’t running due to the drought but that didn’t take away from the comfort of our stay. I recommend this place to all!
Property was a perfect place for our long weekend over Valentines/Presidents Day weekend. Close enough to explore Austin (we even drove down to San Antonio one day although a bit further drive) but rural enough to have some privacy. Robin is a perfect host ensuring that everything was ready for our stay. Home is well equipped with any and all items needed. Was able to cook with proper tools and bed was comfortable. We were able to enjoy the fire pit on a cold non-windy day. I am sure when the weather is nice, being so close to Hamilton Pool would be a welcome treat. Thoroughly recommended host and property for relaxing.
The property was just as described. Robin was very helpful from answering questions before I booked to pointing out helpful information in the guestbook when we arrived. I doubted we'd use the outdoor shower, but it turned out to be quite the experience. If you're looking for a clean cabin away from the hustle and bustle of the city with all the comforts of home, here is where you want to stay!

What makes this property unique
The cabin is located on 5 wooded acres, quiet, and private. When the creek is running, it’s a great place to sit on the porch or lay in the hammock and relax to the sound of running water.
