The bedroom features a plush king bed in the bedroom, a well appointed bathroom, and a Serta premium queen sleeper sofa in the large living room. Luxe linens, organic bath products, including upscale rustic furnishings and artwork make this home as inspiring as the outdoor experience that comes with this rental. Dripping Springs is the first "International Dark Sky Community" in Texas, prepare to enjoy the best star gazing from unlimited vantage points. When the rains are plentiful, you'll enjoy fishing in Flat Creek, swim, or kayak, take the canoe out, sit in the garden, whatever your heart desires.

We welcome your well behaved pet indoors!

The creek offers swimming, fishing (poles provided), and canoeing (provided), laying on rafts or hiking. You may or may not encounter anyone else your entire stay. Minutes from countless attractions this property affords an exceptional experience to rest and refresh.

You will love the modern kitchen, it has everything for your cooking pleasure (spices, etc) The dining table has a beautiful views including playful birds and fox. If there is anything you'll need I am available and live in the neighborhood. Few hosts are as responsive. Enjoy a few snacks, provided drinking water, organic local roasted coffee and a grinder, too. Bath products are organic, many special touches to make this property second to none.

BONUS! Included in the rental is the "Luckenbach cabin" a rustic game room with a pool table, ping pong, darts, game tables, and more. Open the windows, turn on the fans in the summer or heater in the winter. This is another great part of this "Texas Style" rental.

The entire property, including the garden, home and guest cabin is serviced via rain water collection. Because of our limited rain, we ask each guest be conservative. Please limit your footprint as you explore this Eco sensitive part of our Hill Country.

Absolutely perfect romantic nature getaway

The property was exactly as listed. We have stayed in a lot of different rentals and this by far felt the most like home. The attention to details like spices, yeti cups to use, condiments in the fridge all really added up. The real show stopper is the property. Overlooking a gorgeous creek with cliff swallows aplenty and crystal clear water with all sorts of activities provided like kayaks, floats and a canoe. The view of the dark sky is also note worthy. Even with it being 2 days til a full moon

What a wonderful retreat!

We loved staying at Fiddlers Creek! Enjoyed relaxing, watching the hummingbirds, walking down to the creek and swimming. Brought our dog and he loved it too! Perfect getaway for a couple and their dog.

Pure Bliss!

This was my second stay at Fiddler’s Creek and it did not disappoint. This place is absolutely breathtaking, from the clear water to the privacy. We had a rain storm come through in the middle of our trip. That made the water murky so we decided to take a drive to WImberly for some shopping. Fiddler’s Creek is one of my favorite vacations spots I’ve visited.

Clean and Peaceful

Harriett was always so quick to reply to my messages. The cabin was tucked away in a gated community and it was very peaceful and very clean. The cabin had everything we needed. I brought extra cooking supplies but didn't even need it. However, we felt like the game room had been a little neglected and could use a little updating. Our two golden doodles loved the creek and the canoe rides. We went mainly to do the wine trail and we were about 45 minutes from all the wineries. We were far enough from the busyness but close enough to enjoy the wineries. Thank you Harriett!

Very peaceful

The wife and I had a great trip. Everything was great. Nice and peaceful, water was beautiful, swimming and fishing was great. Long Family Weekend

We enjoyed our stay at Fiddler’s Creekside. It is very secluded and quiet. Cool porch and nice outdoor grill with view of valley and creek. Liked the canoe to go up and down the dammed up area of the creek. Simple shack/game room with pool table, darts and sort of ping pong. Owners were responsive and had most everything you would need. Note there are fees for having more than 2 guests.

Great time! Beautiful Property!

We stayed here when we went to visit Hamilton pool and it was great! The property is pristine with stunning views and easy access to the water; peaceful and quite. Everything about the reservation and check in process was flawless and easy. The special touches…like the snack left and the access to spices and such just made this stay perfect. I do apologize for using water bottles though! We carry them with us everyday we go and needed them like crazy at the Hamilton Pool in the triple digit weather. I highly recommend this property.

Quiet and secluded.

This house is super clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with extra touches such as spices and snacks. There are great views of Flat Creek which we enjoyed walking even though it was mostly dry. We hope to use the provided water sport equipment on our next visit. We enjoyed watching wildlife, the sunsets and the stars all from the porch. The nearby State Park was fun to hike and we appreciated recommendations for meals by the owners. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy the property. We look forward to a return stay to enjoy this quiet property in a great setting.

Magical location

Such a beautiful little spot. We felt like we were in a cabin in the wilderness looking over a pristine creek. There are neighbors but you can’t see them. A fireplace, a kitchen that was easy to cook in and a very comfortable bed. Very clean with a lot of extra little touches everywhere. Sitting on the front porch and listening to the birds was wonderful. This cabin is close to many things to do, great restaurants, wineries and wonderful hikes at Pedernales State Park. Also just beautiful country side to take a drive through. We would come back in a heartbeat. It is a great little escape. Communication with the owner was easy and our stay was without incident or issues of any kind. Just a word of caution, you will need a car that can get around deep potholes in the driveway. We had a pick-up so not a problem. I also understand the drive will be fixed in the near future.

Nice for a short stay!

While we did enjoy our stay there were several things that we did not enjoy but it really wasn't anything that the owners could have corrected. First the things that we loved: the gated access, the house was really nice and the a/c worked well, the king size bed was marvelous (did my back wonders), the game room was enjoyable for the older kiddos, and the show that the hummingbirds put on every day was priceless. Now the things that were not just perfect for us. There wasn't enough comfortable seats in the house. While there were two couches they were not back friendly to sit on for extended periods of time. We are used to staying at homes in Missouri, Arkansas, and Tennessee so we were quite disappointed with the creek itself. The water had a terrible smell once the kids got in there stirring it up. However, it did not leave a bad odor on us, our animals, or our clothing. We were told that it would be highly unlikely if we saw anyone when in fact we saw people every single day of our visit. There is a house that sits almost right on the walking path to the creek. There were people across the creek up on the ridge and one time we even had some girls show up from somewhere that swam in the creek for a bit. Like I mentioned above, the game room was great for the older kids but man was it hot. There was one fan over the pool table but it did not do anything to help with the heat, only circulate the hot air. A window unit would be great for this building or some of those portable a/c units. While using a rain water collection system is a great thing it might not be a selling point when you're trying to rent a house. There were warnings all over the house about low flow on the H2O, letters about them having to buy water, etc. I felt guilty every time I turned the water on to wash my hands yet when I went and took a shower the flow of water was like a hard rain storm. It felt marvelous but I can only imagine the amount of wasted water. Overall we enjoyed our stay, it let us decompress and forget about our work schedules for a while. The front porch had a breeze every night and we did not have a problem with mosquitoes until the last day and they really weren't too bad. The guest house on the hill that the Greenlee's are working on is so cute! It will be an asset to the property for sure. We also loved the rock garden and the handiwork of the carpenters that used wooden dowels on their projects.

4th of July

We were thoroughly pleased with the well maintained property and our stay! Perfect size for 2 people. Secluded. Lots of bird activity. There were 2 bird food feeders and we brought our own hummingbird feeder. The cabana area down by the creek is awesome! There are even a couple of walking sticks hanging by the door which were handy to have. Harriet was quick to respond to any questions we had and her directions to the cabin were spot on! The propane grill was nice and great not to have to mess w/ charcoal or wood! We hope to get back in the autumn for a different set of birds!

Our family has lived in the hill country since 1984, Midwest transplants and tired of the winters. I am a nature enthusiast, Animal rehabilitator, environmentalist, to name a few. We transformed an overgrazed cattle ranch to a wildlife sanctuary, Fiddlers Green Ranch. We bought Fiddlers Creekside in June 2016 from a close neighbor and transformed it to what it is today. We toast our friend, Clovis Tanner, for the opportunity to carry on his dream of this property, preserving and enhancing its natural beauty.

Why they chose this property

We loved this property and the previous owner, Clovis, for over 20 years. We always told Clovis when he was ready to sell, we'd love first right of refusal. He first approached us in spring of 2015 and as excited as I was, it was not in the budget. In March of 2016 things came together and we were able to take this pristine piece of property and bring it back to its beautiful stature. Now, you have an opportunity to also experience it. Many of the items in the home are truly vintage and belonged to Clovis and will remain there to honor the beautiful spaces he created. Clovis passed about 2 months after we closed on the property. Toast our friend while there, he would have loved the opportunity to meet you! You'll enjoy flipping through a few of his things while there!

Countless views from this property will take your breath away! BBQ or lounge on the deck overlooking the creek. Enjoy the stunning garden below the home. Stargaze in one of the best places on earth! This is total privacy and just upstream from Pedernales Falls State Park, 3 miles to the entrance or hike from the property to the park! Vineyards within minutes, or just do NOTHING and float and canoe the creek, or yoga on the decks. Bring your guitar, too. In the cold months enjoy the spectacular fireplace.
