This was the our best stay. My husband and I visited this area in April and loved it, this time we brought our son. We saw a bear the first night and a mother bear with her cubs the next. It was an awesome experience. The cabin was nice and clean. The area was excellent, though you couldn’t see the mountain view from the porch. You could see it from the top floor while playing pool.
Quick getaway. Secluded yet close to everything. We had a great time.

Cozy, quiet cabin
Great getaway spot for a quiet vacation in nature. Loved being surrounded by trees. the view wasn't visible from the porch but was nice from the upstairs loft window. The cabin had everything we needed for our week stay. Bed was comfy, hot tub was nice, directions to the cabin were clear, communication with Josh was great.
The cabin was perfect and exactly what we were hoping for. There's quite a bit of privacy since there aren't other cabins right next to you like many other options we looked at. The kitchen was well stocked with some basic staples and equipment which helped for preparing meals. The owner was very polite and quick to respond with questions. Be comfortable with your driving capabilities as the cabin is up a steep winding road.

Wonderful Stay for Wife's Birthday
We had a wonderful stay at Josh’s cabin for my wife’s birthday! Josh was super responsive when we had any questions and was quick to get someone out to clear a fallen tree on a Sunday. The cabin was clean and just as described. The views were beautiful! We cannot wait to come back in the future.

Beautiful Cabin in the Smokies
We had a fantastic stay at Josh's Crimson Crest Cabin. Beautiful Cabin with a beautiful view. Spotless interior and thoughtful details including stacked wood in the fire pit ready to go, good quality towels and TP, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and pillows, pool table and family games, and a new washer/dryer on site. Will definitely stay at this or another of Josh's cabins again!!
House was very nice the driveway was a challenge with a trailer

Awesome!
This was our second time staying at the Crimson Crest cabin and it didn’t disappoint. The views are spectacular and after hiking during the day we relaxed in the hot tub. This cabin and it’s location are great! Josh is very responsive and we’ll probably come back in the future!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
The cabin was clean and cozy but the listing was a little misleading. The first picture showed a beautiful pool and said it was a communal pool, which wasn't a problem. It did list the address of the pool and we didn't realize it was 4.2 Mi away from the cabin. The Weeknd was above average temperatures and we were really looking forward to cooling off but when we did drive the 10 minutes, the pool was packed. The distance should have been listed or the pool really shouldn't have been included in the listing. The only other issue we had were the pool cues. If you decide you want to use the pool table you probably should bring your own cue sticks. The ones there are missing all the tips other than one in very poor shape
My husband and I loved how secluded but close the cabin was to everything. The hot tub is practically brand new and the view was incredible. The cabin is clean and well equipped. The host was very fast at responding to any questions we had. We will definitely be back!
From the breathtaking views, to the coziness of the cabin. This trip was truly a memorable one for the books. Josh was very quick and efficient at answering me and my husbands questions and overall an amazing host. The cabin was very clean, fully equipped and the beds were comfortable (coming from a very picky person haha). We will definitely be back and make sure to stay at one of Josh’s cabins!

Thank you for staying at our cabin! We appreciate the great review! Come visit again soon : )
Very nice experience with a Mountain View. Enjoy your evenings in the hot tub on the porch overlooking the mountainside and Wear Valley. The fire pit is perfect for roasting marshmallows and viewing the night sky. The valley offers quaint county stores, cozy coffee shops, and restaurants. Lots of opportunities to spend your time in the mountains. Josh was a great host. You will definitely enjoy your time here.
Crimson Crest was the perfect spot for our home base during our adventures in the Smokies! Very private, secluded location up in the mountains with a breathtaking view. We loved being away from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but close enough to enjoy some of the attractions. Pool table was a great bonus, as was the hot tub on the porch. Can’t say enough about the relaxation of sitting on the porch overlooking the Smokies. We also had an excellent view of the Wears Valley fireworks on the Fourth! Josh was an ideal host, answering some questions during our stay and even helping us get back some clothes we left behind. Highly recommend Crimson Cabin!

Thank you for staying with us Jon! It was a pleasure hosting y’all, I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your trip. Come back and see us again soon : )
Wife and I planned a weekend getaway, and decided a cabin in the mountains was a good option. Found Josh’s Cabins and were taken in with the photos and the views. Booked, and we were on our way. Josh was extremely responsive when we had to cut our stay a day short, and made it super easy to adjust the schedule.
Arrival was later than we expected, but seamless. The cabin was neat, clean, and just as expected. Bed was comfy, and we had no problem acclimating ourselves to the setting.
Overall a great experience, and I would highly recommend Josh’s cabins. If his other properties were a good as this one, we will definitely be back!

A Perfect Smoky Mountain Escape: Serenity, Comfort, and a Stellar Host!
I stayed here with my wife to celebrate our honeymoon, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a true gem. This cabin isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience. Nestled amongst the trees, the views were absolutely breathtaking.
The cabin itself was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated with that perfect rustic-meets-modern charm, and had everything we could possibly need. The hot tub under the stars was the ideal way to end a day. It was the perfect blend of feeling remote and peaceful, yet still close enough to enjoy everything the nearby towns have to offer.
But what truly elevated our stay was Josh. He was prompt, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure our trip was flawless. From detailed, easy-to-follow check-in instructions to local recommendations that were spot-on, his attention to detail was exceptional. It's clear he takes immense pride in providing a top-tier guest experience.
If you are looking for a 5-star stay in the Smokies, a place where you can truly relax, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of nature without sacrificing comfort, look no further.
We will absolutely be booking this cabin again, thanks Josh!

Great Experience
Everything was top notch at the Crimson Crest Cabin for our recent 3-day Great Smoky Mountains vacation. The cabin was immaculately clean, well appointed with wonderful pillows, bed linens and great towels. We didn’t cook during our stay, but if we had, there would have been plenty of dishes & utensils for our needs. It was more secluded than I had expected, which was a plus — it is at the top of an incline, but we didn’t find that to be a problem. Our second morning, we saw a young bear on the road as we were leaving to start our morning - but he wasn’t interested in us at all. We loved the cabin porch and spent two evenings having supper as we watched the sunset and each morning we loved listening to the sounds of the valley below. Our check-in was super easy and Josh provided everything we needed ahead of time. If you have a chance I would recommend booking this cabin.
