New paint, new bathrooms, new floors throughout. Exceptional townhouse condominium in the Colony Villas at Waikoloa Beach Resort, a gated community on the perimeter of the Kings golf course in the sunny crescent of the Big Island with sunshine 350 days a year. Two pools and tennis courts on the property, as well as two golf courses. Shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores are close by--everything you might need you'll be able to find within the resort's many shops and stores or at the nearby Waikoloa Hilton Resort.

Lots of sun. Upstairs and downstairs lanai. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms (renovated 10/22), laundry room, washer/dryer, and full kitchen. High ceilings and island design. Excellent home base for seeing and exploring the island. All carpet and flooring has been replaced in stages since 2018. Entire interior repainted 09/2023. Volcanoe view from upstairs bedroom. Totally quiet. You won't hear a thing.

A-Bay is the nearest beach, located within the resort, a 20 minute walk. Lava Lava is a fantastic open air restaurant right on the beach. Hapuna, Mauna Kea, and Puako beaches are nearby.

Barbecues are located on the property poolside. Excellent grocery store in the resort or nearby in Waikoloa town.

Big Island is full of things to see and do and our condominium is so comfortable to come home to after a day out.

Big Island is rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. From the beaches to the volcanoes, the botanical gardens, and the wonderful farmers' market in Hilo.

We welcome you to the Big Island to enjoy our island home.

Placed used bathroom towels on the bathroom floor
DO NOT TURN OFF AIRCONDITIONER.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
*Fireworks, smoking, candles or pets are prohibited. No glassware is allowed in the pool areas. BBQ grills are not allowed on any of the lanais.
Unit is inspected for damages, misssing items , or need for extensive cleaning at extra charge after each visit.
There is an additional charge for any lost or misplaced fitness room key.

We recommend this condo. Kitchen well equipped, washer/dryer. Hair dryer in the bathroom. Comfortable beds. We have stayed at this location on other Big Island vacations, first time in a 2b/2b. Would stay again if traveling back to the island. Only complaint, and this is definitely personal preference, is the pillows were too hard for our liking but this is only personal preference. Owner was great with communication. We had a lovely trip with our granddaughter, her first time to Hawaii. Thanks!!

The really nice beaches are several miles away

The property is clean and very roomy. It was well stocked with towels, food storage containers and detergents. We like the beach but found that the really nice beaches are about 10 miles drive north. The Waikaloa area is loaed with condos and time shares but is lacking is restaurants. That was a disappointment.

We enjoyed our stay. Really nice option with great location. Convenient parking in front and really comfortable place to stay. Couldn’t ask for a better place for the value. Highly recommend.

We thought this was a great location. This area is very beautiful with lots of walking trails. We liked that it was so close to A-bay, Hapuna and Mauna Kei beaches. The condo had lots of beach stuff including boogey boards, umbrella, cooler and chairs so that was very helpful. We liked also being close to island gourmet to pick up groceries and some fast meals. The condo was well equipped for us to do some cooking and was right around the corner from the pool and the BBQs which was very nice. Paul was quick to respond when we contacted him about questions.

Beautiful well appointed condo

Everything we may have needed was there for us. Thank you! Condo is beautiful, both bathrooms remodeled with fantastic showers. Thanks for the beach chairs and beach towels.we didn’t need the beach toys, but they would be a very nice addition for a family. We hope to return soon and would happily rent this condo again.

Perfect location

This place is close enough to get to all the nice beaches and Kona but just far enough away for piece and quiet as well. Shops and restaurants are near by with easy access to the road to Hilo. Has everything you need inside for eating at home and beach play. Would definitely stay again. you need you

A luxurious home away from home

Great Waikoloa Stay

We looked for properties in Waikoloa, most required at least 5 nights. We were staying 4 nights in Hilo and needed only 3 nights in Waikoloa. So grateful that we were able to rent this clean, well stocked, condo. The host was attentive and responded to us when we asked that the A/C be turned down a little more. We will return!

This is a very nice place to stay. I was a bit concerned about the check-in ahead of time, but it worked out perfectly. The unit is beautiful and very upscale. There was an abundance of beach towels which was very much appreciated. The grounds and facilities available in this complex are very well kept up. It was too bad that the back entrance gate was not working as this unit is located very near that back gate. Hopefully the complex can get it up to speed in the near future. I would definitely recommend this unit and hopefully we can stay here when return to the Big Island.

Beautiful property and location

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waikaloa Colony Villas! The property itself is updated, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. There was plenty of space for our family of four (kids, ages 15 and 10). There are beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, boogie boards, a cooler, etc. as well. The two pools, hot tub, and workout center in the gated community was a nice touch. The unit could be a little cooler; it was difficult to sleep at night. We messaged Paul around day 4 and he was prompt to knock the temp down a bit for us to make it more comfortable which was wonderful. The directions on the listing takes you to the back entrance which is coned/blocked off and cannot be accessed, so make sure you enter through the opposite gate. Overall, it was an amazing trip. Our family would absolutely stay here again!

AVOID AT ANY COST!

We were visiting Waikoloa for the last 15 years, once or twice a year and unfortunately it was the worst experience that we ever had with our stay. We stayed at this condo for three weeks. The condo itself in a desperate need of renovation: very noisy plumbing (toilets making sounds, showers doesn't functioning properly); carpet is very old, dirty with the stains all over; air conditioner is very noisy (it's very hard to fell asleep at night because of the noise); from the all light bulbs in the kitchen and eating area only 2 are in working condition; very old beds (bedding, pillows; very hard, uncomfortable and squeaky matrasses); condo has a three TVs, all are really small, just like a computer monitors and on top of it is only one TV on the main floor that is connected to the cable; Cable on that TV is a joke, it has only local Hawaiian channels with no access to Netflix or any decent tv stations or movies on demand; all the utensils in the kitchen were burned and scratched, it was absolutely impossible to cook (owner replaced all the utensils after we have contacted VRBO directly. Prior to that we were trying to contact the owner, but owner ignored our emails, so we had no choice but to contact VRBO in regards to this matter. After VRBO contacted the owner, instead of an apology owner sent to us an extremely rude and unprofessional email calling us the names because we have contacted VRBO and he also wrote to us that he is not expecting any future calls from VRBO during our stay. We have contacted VRBO security department and forwarded to them a copy of that email and all the pictures. The owner of this condo is an extremely rude, obnoxious person who treats guests like annoying flies. There are so many nice condos in Waikoloa that managed by very nice people, so do yourself a favor - book a condo that is in a good condition with somebody else who will treat you as a valuable guest with dignity and respect and appreciate your business.

Over the years we made several vacation trips to Hawai'i and came to love the beauty and tranquility of the Big Island. We liked it so much we decided we wanted a more substantial connection here, so we bought our townhouse condominium at Waikoloa Colony Villas.

Why they chose this property

We were impressed by the landscaping of the grounds and the design of the villas. The property is spread out over many manicured acres, adjacent to a magnificent golf course, with two pools, tennis courts and proximity to all services and retail one might need. The best thing is that these villas are not crammed together and they are all two level townhomes so there is no one above you.

What makes this property unique

We enjoy preparing our own meals. Our condominium has a completely stocked, full-size kitchen which we use every day when on the island. We like to barbeque so we use the grills frequently. We like to have ample space and with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a garage, our home here in Hawai'i is larger than our condominium in Washington, D.C. Much more comfortable than any hotel, there are never any crowds to contend with, no lines, no tips, no taxis, no add-ons. Just simple living in a lovely place. The pool is 100 ft right around the corner, and Hapuna Beach is just up the road. Can't get much better than that.
