Welcome to The Sandlot A, a charming coastal retreat in Gulf Shores, AL. This beautifully designed home is one side of a duplex and is located less than a 5-minute walk from the sugar-white sand and emerald Gulf waters. Whether you're planning a relaxing getaway or a fun-filled trip with family and friends, this home offers the perfect setting.

One of the most unique features of Sandlot is its flexibility. Side A can be connected to Sandlot: Side B through an internal door, allowing both units to be rented together as one large home. Side B mirrors Side A with similar bedrooms, bathrooms, and living spaces, making it ideal for larger groups looking to stay together while still enjoying their own space. When combined, the property offers a total of 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.

Inside, this multilevel 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home features a bright and inviting open floor plan that seamlessly connects the living area and kitchen. Stylish furnishings, coastal décor, and updated electronics create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, and all the tools you need to prepare meals, and the private balcony, complete with cozy cabana-style seating, is perfect for relaxing and enjoying time with loved ones.

The primary bedroom is located on the first floor and features a king-size bed along with a private en-suite bathroom with a tub and shower combination. Upstairs, you'll find two additional bedrooms. One offers a queen-size bed, while the other is furnished with two twin beds with trundles, accommodating up to four guests. Each upstairs bedroom includes its own en-suite bathroom with a tub and shower combo.

We really enjoyed our stay! Clean, comfy beds, and fantastic location. Right in the heart of Gulf Shores and only a 3-5 min walk to the beach. Don’t stay and not go to DeSotas, which is also a 3-5 min walk. By the best food we had in Gulf Shores.

You can walk to everything! Directly across from the beach (the nicest part of the beach too, with the children’s playground) Can’t beat the location. The property itself is just ok. Drawers falling off, could be a lot cleaner. Beds were comfy though! But again, location!

The location was not the best. Located behind a restaurant that was busy and noisy. The part that got to me was the smell of the trash being dragged across the parking lot by the restaurant staff. The vents were not clean nor had the air conditioner filter been replaced with a new one was a bit of a problem for us. The drain in the bathroom was very slow and did not drain properly so therefore you was standing in dirty water while showering. I will not be visiting this particular location again.

Overall the house if perfect. The location is great for walking to pretty much everywhere in town to eat and shop. The only issues we had were small the vacuum didn’t work and the street lights shine in the master bedroom all night long so blackout shades would be nice but I understand why they don’t have them. Great house. We’ll book again.

Nice Place and location

We really enjoyed the house during our recent vacation. The location was right across the street from the beach, so we didn't have to get in the car to drive anywhere. It also was in walking distance of restaurants, the Hangout and lots of shopping. There was a small view of the ocean from the balcony, which was also nice. The accommodations were very nice. However, we were not able to sleep 4 kids in the room with the trundles, because once one trundle was pulled out, you couldn't access the other one. They would have made better use of space with bunks. Other then that the rooms were great with all having their own bathroom. The kitchens was a little sparse on some necessities. The fry pan they provide is big enough to fry one egg. Not exactly what I expected for a place that sleeps 8. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved that it was so close to the beach. There was a street light outside the master bedroom window that was extremely bright and the curtains are not thick enough to block the light. Maybe put some thicker curtains in the bedroom to block the annoying light. One of the windows in the master bedroom was off track and basically the window is open. Several of the cabinet doors and fascia were broken. The TV in one of the rooms upstairs was missing the box so it didn't work. The TV in the other kids room didn't work either. It doesn't seem like the remotes work for the TV's. The master bedroom worked.

Our stay here was decent. The location was good if you don’t mind crossing the road to get to the beach & the restaurant next door was good. The appliances worked, the tub downstairs was awesome, each bedroom having its own bathroom was great. There were a few things, however, that annoyed us.. - feet stayed dirty after walking around the inside of the house barefoot only 2hrs after showering - Back door hardware needs replacing - does not lock even if the main knob is locked - needs to be locked on top to secure correctly. It’s loose on the door & on the door frame. - Rails that hold bottom twin beds need replacing & some hardware is missing. Actual twin bed frames are overly squeaky. - 2nd button to lock front door gets stuck (won’t beep) & takes quite a few tries to actually work. - Washer is getting moldy - Dummy drawer in kitchen is loose and lopsided - There was a previously used soap bar in toothbrush cup in the upstairs bathroom - There was no dish washing soap or paper towels yet there was dishwasher detergent & laundry detergent.. just seems inconsistent - It seems as if the cleaners cut any corners they have been able to for a while. - Trash was full & stinky with flies - Had to ask people cleaning next door for paper towels, they were nice enough to help.
