The Mas de Saint-Roman is located in the heart of the Petite Camargue, within the protected and designated Pointe de l'Espiguette site, nestled among pine forests, vineyards, salt marshes, and a backwater of the Rhône. Close to the town of Le Grau-du-Roi, it is a place that’s perfect for relaxation, where you can enjoy the Camargue’s flora and fauna, but also an ideal starting point for visiting the charming cities of Nîmes and Montpellier, Aigues-Mortes, or for swimming in the Mediterranean and exploring the region.<br><br>You’ll be charmed by this fully equipped home, set in a historic farmhouse, part of which has been converted into several units to allow the family to gather together. Two of these units are permanently occupied by the owners and one of their children and their family. The other units are occasionally occupied by the owners’ other children and their families, who live abroad. The renovation of the farmhouse is the result of a contemporary architectural project that respects the distinctive character of traditional local architecture. The shared walls were designed so that each unit retains its privacy and there are no intrusive views between the apartments. The apartments are spacious, bright, and well-ventilated. <br><br>Estelle’s apartment has an interior area of approximately 150 m² and is laid out as a duplex. It includes:<br>- on the ground floor, which is largely open-concept: an entryway, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, and a living room with a fireplace; a bathroom with a toilet, shower, sink, and washing machine. The living room is equipped with a television and a DVD player. ADSL internet connection with Wi-Fi;<br>- Upstairs: three bedrooms, a bathroom with a bathtub and sink, and a separate toilet with a sink.<br><br>Outside: Courtyard on the entrance side. On the garden side, a terrace with a garden table under a pergola and lounge chairs. The garden and barbecue are shared with the other apartments. <br><br>A ping-pong table, foosball table, darts set, pétanque set, croquet set, giant chess set, and basketball hoop are available in the garden or in the shed.<br><br>The farmhouse is located near Montpellier International Airport (25') and Nîmes Airport, as well as the TGV stations in Montpellier (30') and Nîmes (45').It is accessible via a private road shared by several country estates, closed off by an automatic gate. Parking (uncovered) is available on the property. <br><br>A wide range of activities is available from the country estate: swimming (at Espiguette Beach or the various beaches in Le Grau-du-Roi or Port-Camargue, as well as at the municipal pool in Le Grau-du-Roi), horseback riding in the Camargue, surfing and kitesurfing, kayaking, the casino, tours of the Midi salt flats, tennis, golf, mini-golf, fishing, thalassotherapy, beauty treatments, sailing, wine tastings (Costières de Nîmes and Pic Saint-Loup nearby), and tours of the Languedoc-Roussillon region.<br><br>The maximum occupancy is six people (including children). Families are welcome. Baby equipment (changing table and baby bathtub, high chair, playpen, cot, and potty) can be provided upon request. <br><br>Pets are not allowed, to avoid any conflicts with the farm’s animals (dogs, chickens, peacocks) and those in the surrounding fields (Camargue bulls and horses, donkeys, depending on the season).<br><br>Linens (sheets and pillowcases, bath towels—excluding beach towels—and kitchen towels) are provided and included in the end-of-stay cleaning fee, which is itself included in the rental price. <br><br>Rentals are generally for a minimum of 7 days. It is also possible to rent for shorter stays or extended weekends (minimum 4 or 5 nights) depending on the dates outside of the high season.
