About this property
Rocky Vista - 3 bedroom cabin with unblocked views!
Panoramic mountain vistas and walkable town convenience make Rocky Vista the perfect home base for your Estes Park vacation. Located on the western slope of Little Prospect Mountain and overlooking the town, Rocky Vista enjoys sweeping views of the Continental Divide to the west, and views of Bond Park, Lumpy Ridge, and the Stanley Hotel to the north.
Set among beautiful rock outcroppings and mature pines, this cozy cabin offers the feel of mountain seclusion while being only a 10-minute walk to the heart of downtown. It was completely renovated in the spring of 2024 bringing the cabin to full mountain elegance.
Rocky Vista offers two outdoor deck areas from which to enjoy the morning alpenglow or the colorful evening sunsets. The upper deck wraps around two sides of the cabin and has a gas grill, table, and plenty of chairs for al fresco dining. The lower deck, built around a large Ponderosa pine in the yard, is perfect for relaxing to the sounds of the Big Thompson River below. There is also a flagstone patio nestled in the rocky outcroppings with a beautiful view of Lumpy Ridge and the Stanley Hotel, which has a table and four chairs.
Inside the cabin, the upper level has an inviting living area featuring a relaxed mountain decor, awesome views, and a large moss rock fireplace to enjoy on cool evenings. A flat-screen SMART TV, Blu-ray/DVD player, DVD’s, games, and books are also to be found in the living area. Bring your streaming account credentials, or your streaming devices (AirPlay, Chromecast, etc.) and “beam” your favorite shows to the Smart TV. The well-stocked kitchen has an electric range, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and even a crockpot for easy meal prep.
The lower level has 3 bedrooms (2 with queen beds, 1 with a sturdy twin-over-twin adult-capable bunk bed) and a full bath with a tub/shower combo. One of the queen bedrooms has an attached ¾ bathroom. Also on the lower level are a full-sized washer and dryer.
In addition to the gorgeous setting, guests enjoy high-speed internet/Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, and plenty of off-street parking for several cars. For guests with a baby or toddler, a Pack’N Play (bring your own sheets) and a small high chair/booster seat are available for use. As the private road leading to the cabin has a relatively steep section, an AWD vehicle is recommended for winter guests.

Wonderful home for a family of 5. Loved the location to town and the best mountain views. The sunrises & sunsets were the best part of each day. Very clean and well stocked kitchen,
We had such a wonderful time staying at Rocky Vista. The location was perfect and close to a lot of restaurants and the tram. The view of the Rocky Mountains was definitely the best part!
We had an amazing time at your property! The views were gorgeous and we loved the flexibility to walk into town. It was also very conveniently located to the Rocky NP which was also amazing! Thank you for keeping your property so clean, and we loved the added touch of all the towels and toilet paper having the fancy bows! We will definitely stay here again!
I don't think you could find much better of a view from any of the three decks/patios that are included with this place. Super close to Estes Park so plenty to do if you'd like. Or just sit back and enjoy the extremely clean property and the amazing views. Just an amazing place. One of my favorites for sure!
The views at this property are phenomenal! A cup of tea in the morning on the deck was like heaven. Also super well located for downtown Estes yet private too! We can’t wait to come back!
We absolutely loved Rocky Vista!!!! We chose to stay here specifically because of the views and they did not disappoint! They were truly breathtaking. The unit was clean, bed was super comfy, the deck/balcony was awesome, and even with our 11 month old crawling all over it was relatively baby friendly/safe.
I have been to Estes Park several times. This is the best place I’ve stayed in yet. The location is perfect. It’s close to downtown yet quiet. The views are spectacular. The cabin had everything we needed and some. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
Absolutely the best first experience to Colorado... from information about the area to the stay/accommodations, this is a wonderful place to visit and stay.
Beautiful scenery from the deck, loved the 2 below house “morning coffee” areas, the kitchen was very well stocked as was the laundry area. One mild negative was that we could have used a few more bath towels and a big negative for us was that A/C would have been great. After a day of hiking, we came back to an 85 degree house that didn’t cool off quickly, especially if we needed the oven for dinner. Otherwise, we loved our stay and the close proximity to town and the park entrances.
Cute, clean property with amazing views. A great base for visiting RMNP. Lots of nice outdoor seating. We didn’t walk into Estes because of construction but it looked like an easy walk otherwise. The house is just up a hill from the town. Note: You have to stop at a real estate office in town to pick up & drop off the keys. Bring your own soap, shampoo, tissues. They provide a few rolls of toilet paper but not enough for our stay so we had to buy some. It wasn’t a problem at all - there’s a supermarket a 3 min drive.
This property is wonderful! My husband and I took our 3 kiddos (5 and under) to RMNP and stayed at this cabin. We loved the outdoor space. The views are incredible! Pictures do not do justice. Location is ideal and just a short drive to downtown Estes Park. Only downside was being there during summer as the cabin gets pretty warm inside due to no AC.
Absolutely perfect cabin for our family Thanksgiving. Views are incredible from every window.
Absolutely perfect cabin for our family Thanksgiving. Views are incredible from every window, beds were comfortable, and property situated less than a mile from downtown but with a quiet and secluded feel. We had a family of deer visit every day, with fawns in tow. First year in a long time without snow in November, but we enjoyed spending time on the decks watching stunning sunset in the evenings. Close to RMNP.
Property was perfect for us. Close to everything! The most amazing view I have ever seen it was breathtaking! Cute cabin with plenty of room for our family of 4. You can’t go wrong at this cabin!
