Welcome to Sandy Cheeks - A spacious dog-friendly house w/outdoor firepit - close to golf and ocean!

This bright, lively home has room for a large family or a group of friends looking for a home-away-from-home during their St. Simons Island vacation. Make a home cooked meal in the gorgeous kitchen equipped with copper pots and extensive counter space. Or, if you're feeling al fresco, pick up some local seafood and take it outside to the grill.

On the second floor, you'll enjoy the use of a private washer and dryer for your swimsuits and sundresses. Two bedrooms rest on this floor - one with a king bed and en-suite bath; the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and en-suite bath. The kids can sleep on the third floor where there are two more bedrooms! One bedroom has a queen bed; the other has two twin trundle beds. There will be no arguments over the shower in the morning with the huge Jack-n-Jill bathroom. After a long day at the beach, shower off the sand in the outdoor shower before joining everyone on the patio deck. Relax on the couch with a movie playing on the TV - if someone doesn't challenge you to a game of foosball first. Get everyone around the firepit for s'mores and laughs. You'll love the modern nautical décor, polished design, and short walk to the beach.

What's Nearby: While you will be in a quiet neighborhood, you are still going to be close to all kinds of island activities. When you get hungry and don't feel like cooking yourself, walk to one of the many restaurants located just blocks away. Just over a half mile away from your front door is St. Simons Island Lighthouse Museum, Neptune Park, and St. Simons Pier, all offering unique oceanfront experiences for you and your group. You can even find golfing just six miles away at Sea Palms Golf Club!

This a great house. It's always super clean. We have now stayed here with our girls cross country team for two years in a row when we come down to compete in the region cross country meet. It has a great kitchen and living area and the bedrooms upstairs are perfect for a group of girls. The girls feel very comfortable there. We had some issues with the upstairs A/C this time, but will definitely be back.

Space overall was nice with bathrooms for every room, good dining space, nice porch, good back patio. The house lacks upkeep with many things like rattling corroded air vents, stained couch, squeaky beds, limited cleaning/kitchen staples. In general that would be ok but the floors were very dirty and lights with a few spiders. All the kids socks were black by end of the first day, empty gas tank for grill (with tattered cover), sandy not super warm hot tub, etc. Good for the price but the cleanliness and lack of upkeep made it a bit of a downer.

St Simon’s weekend

House was beautiful and well equipped. We had 4 adults and one teen, ( and our dog!) everyone had their own room with ensuites. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. Management was quickly responsive with fix of minor AC issue. We would stay there again. I loved the primary so much I snapped pics for inspo on my own home redecoration!

Great island house with nice amenities

Modern home with nice touches. Fully equipped with everything needed for a pleasant and relaxing stay. Plenty of room for family and friends, pet friendly (so appreciated!!) and the fire pit, jacuzzi, and foozball tables were the icing on the cake.

Gorgeous Home

House was beautiful and well-appointed. Very convenient location. We rented a golf cart and had plenty of room to park it out front along side our large SUV. Overall, we loved the home!

Weekend w/ girls team

We were in St. Simons for a cross country meet and my wife stayed here with the seven teenaged girls who are on the team. I stayed in another house with the boys. This house was a great place for a group that size - clean, comfortable, beds for everyone. We didn't use it, but it also has a great large kitchen and eating area. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Spacious Home

The home was very clean, great location and spacious. The towels and feather down pillows were high end and soft . We stayed during Christmas 2022 which was record breaking temps. The living room was freezing and the 3rd floor unbearably hot the fist night. Julie brought heaters and did all she could and we found some work arounds. Any other time, other than the 100 year cold snap we experienced, everything would’ve been perfect. Maybe we can stay again in the summer and this time I can enjoy the swing on the porch.

Beautiful Home in St. Simons

We booked this beautiful home, last minute for the Labor Day weekend. It was a perfect home to rent for a family with teenagers. The house does sit on a main road in front of the house, so I would be cautious if you have young children. The back yard was fenced in so they would be safe in the back. The beach is about a 10 minute walk but it was a beautiful walk through the peaceful neighborhood. The house was well stocked with all of the kitchen supplies to cook and the furniture was a stunning shabby chic beach decor. I would hightly recommend this home to any future guests. The homeowner did provide little soaps but I would definitely bring your own soap. The tap water isn't very good, since it was close to FL, so make sure to bring your own filtered water. It was clean to shower with but we are spoiled Atlantans with delicious tap water. This home and home owners get a 5 out of 5 star review from this family. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Cute place

We enjoyed our stay at Sandy Cheeks a few weeks ago. The house was exactly as described as was the location. The reviews that were left previously were spot on as I experienced the same things. Overall, the process to check in/check out was super easy and convenient. The staff at the vacation rental office was friendly and accommodating answering any questions I had. In regard to the house, it was beautifully decorated and warm/welcoming. Two things that stood out that could be improved upon - the sitting area was small for the number of people the house can accommodate and the third floor (even with oscillating fans provided) was extremely warm. The location was great - easy to find. We were able to park 3 cars in the driveway (2 SUVS, and a truck) no problem. We did find that backing in made it much easier to pull out as visibility was a little difficult with the road and oncoming traffic. There was noise on the street side but nothing that was so bad it interfered with sleep. The house was stocked with basic supplies. This was actually the first beach/lake home I rented that did not provide beach towels. You do need to bring your own. A very basic supply of items was available. I highly recommend bringing your own soap, shampoo, etc. The bars provided were tiny and no shampoo was provided at all. The kitchen was well stocked. Overall, I would recommend staying here but with a smaller group (we were 8).
