This place was a find! A beautiful compact modern apartment in a very lively part of Paris. A corner unit, there are large windows on two sides, one looking out at the Pompidou center about a block away and one looking down on charming and bustling cobblestoned street lined with cafés and bakeries. The apartment itself is lovely with modern furnishings just as shown in the photos. It is compact and some components feel like you’re on board a ship. It certainly doesn’t have a proper kitchen but it’s usable for one person or a couple to prepare a couple meals. The bathroom is tiny, the living room is small but comfortable, there’s not much room in the bedroom for anything other than the bed but it’s a nice one. Late floods this apartment and with the windows open cross ventilation feels fantastic. Check in was a breeze and Thomas give us wonderful tips for dining and other hidden treasures in the neighborhood.. This is a walk up – five flights I believe in a very old building with a winding wooden stairway that is not easy to navigate with large luggage.. In full disclosure my college age son stayed here alone while doing an internship and it was perfect for hiim. My husband and I moved him in so we got to know the apartment pretty well and I’d say it would be fine for a couple that is good with each other in close quarters but really only meant for one or two people. Great location, great setting, lovely apartment. I’d absolutely rent it again. Thank you to the hosts who were fantastic and a quick to respond to any questions we had. There were no issues at all while we were staying there. But I know that if there had been they would’ve been on it. A great VRBO experience!
