Why Marie Charlotte D chose Folie-Méricourt
In this Haussmann-style building where I spent 50 years of my life, I have kept a small pied-à-terre where I can greet my family and friends as well as other visitors interested in discovering Paris. I renovated the room, opted for soft colours, and bought new furniture and appliances, focusing on my future guests comfort and convenient.

Convenient Neighborhood with a Local Feel
Marie Charlotte is a great host! The apartment is tiny but perfect for one person. You have everything you need within easy walking distance – good restaurants, grocery stores, laundromat, ATMs, etc. It's right next to the Parmentier station and a few minutes walk to the Oberkampf station.
The neighborhood has a very local, non-touristy feel. The staff at all the nearby restaurants and stores can speak English if you want them to, but I didn't see any non-French speaking people on the streets or in the restaurants/stores. That's perfect for me as I'm trying to learn and practice French, but also not a worry if you don't speak any French.
The only downside is that the toilet is down the hall a bit instead of in the apartment, but it was always clean an unoccupied every time I needed it. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Paris for another week.
Great Paris apartment for one.
The apartment is small but has everything one person needs. Great location too. I really enjoyed my stay.
Susan est une locataire parfaite, qui communique agréablement, ne pose pas de problème. Elle a laisse le petit studio très en ordre.
Si elle veut réserver votre appartement, dites oui tout de suite!
Stay in Parmentier
Lovely small place. Bright and sunny Marie Charlotte is a very
gracious lady who has thought of everything to make your stay easy. I have never been to a property that has been so well thought out. There is everything that you could possibly need for your stay. I couldn't recommend this apt. more highly. It was a wonderful place to be.
If Carol wants to rent your place, say YES immediately!
I cannot recommend this property highly enough. It was perfect and convenient for my week long stay in Paris. Marie Charlotte is a great owner and wonderful host, very responsive, and was easy to work with. I would stay here again without question!
I have exactly the same opinion about Scott: aucun problème, communication facile, respect du lieu et grande politesse, confiance réciproque.
Scott peut revenir aussi souvent qu'il le désirera, j'espère que le studio sera toujours libre à ce moment-là.
I absolutely loved my stay here! It's a small room, but it's really well laid out. If anything, it felt bigger than I thought from the pictures. The bathroom down the hall was literally never busy when I tried to use it, and I was there for almost a month.
The manager was very good with communication: she checked in with me to make sure that there weren't any noise problems, etc. She also came over several times to change the sheets & towels.
From a practical perspective, the transit was good (although it was so easy to walk most of the places that I wanted to go that I often did that). There were multiple good groceries/bakeries/coffee places within a few blocks, as well as a laundromat.
I would highly recommend this place. My only hesitation is that I want it to be available the next time I come back! ;-)
